For anyone wondering why Kata is so trusting of Cal an Merrin, 1 she’s clearly force sensitive. 2. She’s been a different person since her mother died. She said it herself. She watched her father change an had to adapt. She could sense cal an merrins actions were pure. And thought they could help bode. Unfortunately he was to far gone
@@thisfreakingguy3833 thats so stupid... apart from Trilla being a padawan when she was captured by the empire and brainwash how would that even fit into the timeline... dude no...
Here's my hope, now that Cal admitted that the Order is gone and a thing of the past, he opened up to connection with Merrin and Embracing the Darkside. Maybe he'll go back to Dathomir with Merrin and learn basics of Magick
@@Jayxroberts oh I didn’t know. What would Ashoka fall under then. It just looks like cal’s leaving the traditions of the Jedi behind. You see him do many things in the game that would’ve been frowned upon by the Jedi in the prequels
@@CalSkywalker star wars fans have this weird obsession with killing all the remaining good parts of star wars for the shitty parts remaining. Maybe, just maybe hope for something better than the garbage disney has spoon fed us instead of accepting their trash
@@CalSkywalker but Ezra didn’t exiled him self from the galaxy voluntarily and is probably imprisoned, for Cal i could see him building a new order in his hidden exclave on the edge of the galaxy and for the next game to give us Bode’s daughter as main character
As long as the sequel doesn’t pull the cliche “love interest dies, hero turns evil” plot point. Cal should struggle with the dark side but in the end find balance. Him and Merrin should stay together and raise Kata, and he should continue his story as a gray jedi. Keep Cere’s legacy alive, but not at the cost of his own happiness
But what you want in the story is cliche, it is all the time the same and predictable if he will just fight to not go full dark side, its basicly everywhere happy ending , not interesting for me, for me crazy it would be to fight cal as the last boss as someone else but first to see and play through his change
@@ItSpooling_ no canon source, just where I think they should take his story in the future. He doesn’t have to explicitly be referred to as a gray Jedi, but I think his arc should lead him to similar territory.
@cosmicsamurai8299 grey jedi don't exist you can't be between the light side and dark. The light side is balance and listening to the will of the force. The dark side is imbalance and not listening to the will of the force and instead using the force for power.
I believe that bode was almost manipulated into acting the way he did, after seeing the vision that dagan gave him it perhaps scared him into taking no chances. I also believe that this is a call back to fallen order with cal destroying the holocron after the vision he saw. It’s almost like cal decided to exist and put others at danger knowing he could not protect them while bode did the same but let himself become obsessed with it.
I don't think Dagan's vision alone was enough to turn him but it was certainly enough to give him major doubts. I get the impression that the conversation he has with Cal immediately after that fight (likely caused in part due to the vision) was the actual trigger that sent Bode over the edge
There’s a lot of secret force essences from Bode if you look around and places y’all were. He was not… not exactly. It didn’t help though. Although, imo, He was thoroughly justified, especially because Cal couldn’t answer his last question. Bode, given the nature of what just occurred, what he was there to do, and what his background is, the point was already proven. Infiltrating the resistance would be easy and he was just going to invite all these unvetted people to their Haven. Bode was thinking like an intel Op.
I think his philosophy is more like if I could infiltrate saw gerera's rebelion cell and the hidden path and there's quite a few people like me out there... who said someone else couldn't do the same. with enough amount of people some spy would be able to sneak in... that's why he was so adamant on not giving it to the hidden path because they were "stranger". he was being logical and cal was being hopeful.
I definitely think the major struggle for Cal in the next game will be him balancing the light and dark while simultaneously fighting the empire and training Kata and other force sensitives. I think it would be cool to see Cal establish a new Jedi order more similar to the ancient Jedi who could have attachments and experiment with the force. Either way I’m beyond hyped for whatever Respawn cooks up for the third game, Jedi Survivor was a masterpiece and is easily one of my favorite games of all time.
I predict the ending of the next game will be that they will close the abyss to fend off an imperial attack, thus sealing themselves out of the galaxy.
By the looks of things, by the time Rey is building her new Jedi order, Cal would be in his 80s (born 32BBY, new film set 15 after Rise of Skywalker which was set 35ABY), therefore Cal could most definitely be still alive. Therefore I think Cal could try close off the Abyss to create an isolated order, which Rey will then discover at the end of her film. Probably a great stretch but oh well
I don’t think cal would want to remake the Jedi order at all, his whole journey from fallen order to survivor is him finding himself in a world without the Jedi, discovering who he is and wants to be, and accepting the fact that the Jedi are gone and there’s no going back to the way things were. The only reason he still fought the empire was because he was dealing with guilt and stuck in the past. He couldn’t move forward because if he let himself not only would his conscience feel guilty about those he lost but he acknowledged the fact that he would always be hunted, there was nowhere to hide until he found tanalorr
@@realnoble676well I see what you’re talking about finding himself and everything. But multiple times Cal kept saying he does want to rebuild the order. Even in the end of Survivor he still had the mindset that Tanalor will be the next step for the order. He was trying to find himself and be his own person. But he’s still fighting for GOOD. For the people. For the Jedi. Against the evil empire.
I just want Cal and everyone to live at the end of the next game. He doesn't have to die to have a satisfying ending. Let's stop killing off the absolute best parts of star wars so more stories can potentially be told down the line.
I don't think cal is gonna fight the empire. I think after nearly losing himself and fighting for 10 (more if you count clone wars) years has worn him down and he is just done. That's why he finally confesses to merrin and tells her he is ready to leave the order behind. Tanalore will be a safe haven for those hunted by the empire, but I don't think it's gonna be about fighting them. No, the goal will be to outlast & guide whatever cal's new order ends up being through it. I'm really excited to see what this turns into as it can open a lot of possibilities! What will the new republic think if discovered a whole mini galaxy of force users, especially if they are being threatened by a certain blue guy. What will the Jedi think of thus as they try to rebuild the order. There's just so much possibilities even beyond cal!
I like what you have here. Maybe thru Ahsoka, she discovered this group of Jedi led by Cal, Merrin and Kata (since she would be most senior of their apprentices) ask them to help fight Thrawn maybe even bringing Luke into the fold. Imagine like Avengers Endgame, this whole army of Jedi, led by Ahsoka, Luke, Cal, Merrin and Kata leading the fight against Thrawn and his Dark Jedis. It will be epic!!
If another game happens, I would bet money Luke would be in there. As he is hunting across the galaxy searching for knowledge to rebuild the jedi order, I have no doubt he would find his way to tanalore. Kata would be the same age ish of Luke, as Kenobi takes place during Survivor's time period.
cal’s journey isn’t over, he cannot hang up his lightsaber especially after all the loses he’s suffered. to lose people then call it quits would not be a suitable way to end the story for him, cal deserves a good ending for once. where he feels as if he’s finally accomplished something. you hear him saying that all of his attempts are useless but now with the losses he’s endured he would be more motivated to honour or get revenge. honour his losses by destabilising the order or by embracing his dark side by getting revenge. i truly believe the next game will give us the option of cal’s path. after all even after finishing the game you still have embrace darkness ability
Since the opening of the game I expected Bode to be a traitor. Breaking off with three ties was the biggest trope flag for that. I’m a little upset at the revelation of him being a Jedi. That I was not expecting
I think the Jedi twist was perfect, because it’s basically an alternate Cal. Bode was maybe slightly older and had a family while Cal was younger and more independent, but otherwise their circumstances were the same. Bode chose to “embrace the darkness” for himself and for his daughter, while Cal kept fighting
@@KillerBot5100 I'm not complaining about the choice to make Bode a Jedi. I just got it spoiled for me a bit as it was the one thing I didn't think they'd do. Like I said the traitor trope was super easy to see, I just didn't expect the jedi twist.
LOL! I must have had blinders on, because I never saw that coming. In fact, Bode was one of my favorite “team members” until we got the reveal. I totally didn’t see that coming.
It was the same for me. Something was off about Bode but I couldn't say what. I knew he was going to betray the group at some point. I didn't expect him to be a Jedi though and that reveal felt kind of cheap. There could have been hints. Bode just not using any force powers against Dagan while he is almost choking him to death feels like Bode read the script.
I think Ezra and Cal should have been the ones to rebuild the Jedi Order. They have learned to use their attachments to gain more strength and be more powerful in the force. Luke sticked to the old ways, that led to the downfall of the Jedi Order. Attachment is the most powerful thing a force user can have, you just have to control it correctly. That was why the High Republic was so powerful after all.
Lol in my comment I said almost the opposite. But idealize Luke before Disney destroyed his character. Everything Cal and Ezra have done Luke has done but I feel on the extreme. I don’t think Cal or Ezra are throwing their lightsabers down in front of the emperor. I don’t think they would willingly surrender to Vader without a plan to kill both him and the emperor. I don’t think they have the proper balance in the force like Luke did in the OG trilogy. (Side note but another good version of Luke was in the BF2 campaign when Del asks him why he saved him he’s says ‘because you asked’ and also explains he killed his troopers and not him bc Del gave him and choice and the troopers didn’t, I don’t think cal and Ezra are making that same choice)
Technically that was a Disney decision sadly originally Luke like them^^ embrace things that the last era of Jedi would of considered to be taboo example he encouraged his Jedi to form attachments and learn how to live with it and confront it if need be his Jedis even had families and their kids had kids by the time Luke’s Jedi fell there was a generation of skywalkers teaching Jedi the last one I could think of was Cade skywalker and his bother (who died defending the temple before it was lost not due to Luke’s faults but because there was a new sith order that came out of the blue and toppled Luke’s jedi temple so technically if u stay faithful to the actual GOOD LORE (non canon for some reason) Luke was a much much MUCH better jedi than what Disney gave us he even lead his jedi through one of the most devastating wars his galaxy ever faced and even tho luke encouraged attachment one of his I think nephew’s turned dark and killed Luke’s wife and I think it was the sister that fought him in a duel and won and ended it that also shows how far Luke hedi came because even tho they love they were also able to complete their duty as jedi of the new republic if Disney didn’t toss that stuff out Luke wouldn’t be getting shit how they made Ezra and cal is how Luke developed as a jedi he looked at their old books and even blamed them for creating Vader for mishandling Anakin
@@ray-lr4xj OG legends luke understood that cutting the next generation of the jedi from the darkside like the days of the jedi order were a mistake, Legends Luke created hsi acadamy with true gery jedi in mind, hell luke himself even used force lightning on multiple ocasions
To each their own but imo Disney is destroying the franchise. Sad. They should’ve just left the old characters and story’s alone and concentrated on telling new story’s but they seem inept when creating new content. All they do is make evil versions of classic characters, bring back old characters from the dead or rip off characters from the books and give them a new name. Really really sad
What should be understood is that Tanalorr is similar to Exegol as both are hidden worlds that require a compass or a wayfinder to get there. Tanalorr is likely a nexus of the Light Side of the Force while Exegol is a nexus of the Dark Side of the Force. The other important thing is that orange-red lightsabers are used by Dark Jedi who turned to the Dark Side but not fully as they still have noble, selfless intentions at heart (ex. Bode wanting to protect his daughter and Degan wanting to create a Light-Side army to cleanse the Galaxy of the Dark Side). This would foreshadow Baylon Skoll and Shin Hati in the Ahsoka tv series as Dark Jedi with noble intentions at heart but are doing things the wrong way.
@@Yes-ly1nx Bode stole Dagan's lightsaber after Dagan's death. It is orange-red and it confuses viewers as they cannot tell whether it is a red lightsaber or not.
I think it’s way more likely that it’s a handful of Force Nexus worlds (kinda like a second vacation home for the Celestial Beings) that remained unclaimed for eons, like Tython and Exegol. I think it also represents the classic but effective “mcguffin that corrupts entirely”, similar to the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail from Indiana Jones. Since Cal is going down this path, it’s REALLY interesting how his story is going to end since maybe he becomes like a proto-Starkiller or an inquisitor of Vader until the Empire falls, or maybe he redeems himself to protect his family from Vader.
@@kingbooomer9231 Imagine Cal going full Starkiller (Powerful Force attacks and Force Lightning) on the Empire. I hope we see Cal fighting Starkiller soon.
Cal was working for Saw Gererra on corrucant, Bode had infiltrated his rebel cell and was sent by him to help Cal its mentioned in dialogue during the mission.
One angle not covered is that the Sisterhood still needs to be rebuilt. it would be MORE interesting if Kata instead picks up the way of the Nightsisters. makes more sense that tanalorr be the cradle of the New Dathomir Sisterhood and New Jedi Order for that side of the void....
so its interesting. i think the next game will see cal battling with his role as a mentor. the first game followed his journey from padawan (kinda) to jedi knight, and this game from jedi knight to master. the next game would see him fully take on that role. i do disagree with the huge battle thing. i think the want to do that will be a major plot point for cals character in the next game, and ultimately it will be an internal battle for him to not see safety as giving up, but as potential for the future. i can see a lot of the game following cal trying to safely harbor jedi or force sensitive children to tanalor with kara being a padawan to him.
I believe Cal would still he considered a jedi knight, to me this was him getting more experience as a knight being tempted by the dark side, an old rule of the jedi order Is that your padawan must become a jedi knight before you can become a jedi master (hence why Anakin was denied the rank of master) and then the next game is Cal becoming a master, or maybe they make it where it has 2 different endings Cal becoming jedi master or Cal becoming a Sith, more at least a cool DLC like force unleashed, Idk I wanna see more dark side Cal
@@falcor6820 You cannot just become a Jedi master. Someone from the council has to nominate you. Luke only became one because he had both council members there to select him.
@@falcor6820 Doubtful Cal will be becoming a Jedi master, and you don't need to be one to train someone. Caleb trained Ezra while still a padawan, later becoming a knight. Ashoka is still a Jedi Padawan, so ranking means nothing.

I think the sequel should explore the idea that the Force isn't just Good and Bad and that is best to balance Yourself as You try to Balance the force. He goes more Rogue Jedi with more stealth combat and learning force abilities with Merrin and Kata and by other means.
First of all: i did not expect Cordova to survive the purge. By the time of Fallen Order, i though that he was only manage to made his Zeffo recordings and than he died on Ilum (as Cal would find his buddy) but okay i was wrong about it. Bode's betrayal, i saw it comming from afar, sth felt "off" about him. He was too calm and felt hidden from the others. I feel like Bode might have been an intern inquisitor who did not finish his training. Kata might be one of the force sensitive children that Cal might later train. The devs said at the start that "it will be a series of several game of one story" but we either will get a trilogy or at least 4 games (depending of how long Cal is gonna hide from the Empire). We do not know much about this new planet so it might have some dark side secrets that might influence Cal further. Cere's and Cordova's force ghosts would help him overcome the darkside outcomes or at least lower its effects on Cal's mind.
One thing is clear like you said, there's certainly going to be a 3rd game or atleast DLC and probably a decent size one, I'd personally like to see DLC of tanalorr being built kind like you can progress the settlement on koboh
Could this tie into what Dave Filoni is doing with his Avenger like movie with the Mando-verse and Ashoka? Could Cal meet with Ashoka and the rest of his Jedi and maybe add Rey into as well. She is also getting and forming a new Jedi Order herself and could we see this whole universe merge into this all-out battle.
Possible yes however keep in mind that the development of the next game might take quite a while and the time between now and that movie might be shorter
@@sdkingz84 I feel like it's likely they'll miss the end of the empire by just a tiny bit given the time jump between fallen order and survivor especially if they want kata to be old enough to play a more active role in the next games plot

I was most curious about why Cere says «guide her through the darkness», and Cal leaving someone’s lightsaber behind at the very end. It could mean that Cal’s going to guide Kata from the darkness, but it’s kinda ominous, because it could also be interpreted that he’s supposed to guide her to use the darkness. As for the lightsaber, it would make sense if it was Cere’s, but it seems like it should have bigger symbolical value than just accepting that she’s dead. I don’t know if it’s Cal’s saber, but that would have crazy implications
I loved and played Jedi Fallen Order to death, but Jedi Survivor was a huge step up. I could not wait to know what came next for Cal and the crew, in my opinion the story was the best since Rogue One, the OT and Andor. Cal is a great character, for the third game I hope that he leads the base on Tanalorr and dies heroically in a last final battle against Vader or the emperor. He deserves an epic ending.
I guess the ultimate issue with the story is that Cal's actions, mind you unknowingly, of course unknowingly, lead to all the events that take place and the multitude of people murdered. Cal is the one that finds Zee, after she's been buried and hidden for hundreds of years. Cal is the one to release Dagan. Cal brings Bode into the inner circle. Look, I get it. He was betrayed. He didn't want any of it to happen. Hell, actively sought to stop such things from happening. But it is all of his actions that led to all the deaths. If Cal simply did nothing, Cere and Master whats-his-face would still be alive. The Hidden Path would still be hidden. He'd just be chilling at a bar. Of course the Rayvis may have located the artifact and then released Dagan. The Empire could have found the Hidden Path later. But I guess we'll never know. The moral of the story, if it seems too good to be true, some mystical place where everyone is safe, it probably is.
@Draze Of course not. His actions, in hindsight, just happened to be aligned with the enemies. He can't know what he doesn't know. Just highly unfortunate. But, in hindsight, his actions presented the enemy with an expedited path to their goals.
Kata will never trust or love Cal. She will never forgive him. Her hate for him will only grow. He killed her father. This is where the story of Boba Fett got it right. The writers obviously don't have children and didn't even bother to consult with a parent when writing this. Especially at this age the father of a little girl, no matter how messed up he is, is her hero and her world. And with no mother, Cal hasn't just killed her father, her hero, the one she loves most, he has destroyed her whole world. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the writers new this and are setting us up for the next game. Maybe in the next game Kata destroys everything, kills Cal with tears in her eyes, and Cal finally learns his lesson. Or Cal turns to the dark side defeats Kata and turns her into his apprentice. But for me this ending is a big disappointment, because I like Cal and I want him to actually be the good guy. Please, someone make a mod that takes away the pause before Cal shoots Bode the first time and also takes away the part where he executes him completely. It would be nice if they could add a part where with his last breath Bode repeats "I only wanted to protect my daughter." That's probably not possible, but with AI or some creative editing, who knows.
I think the game may get dlc once respawn puts out the bug fires and if the journalist don't continue dismantling this product. Has anyone else noticed all of the blank spots in the skill trees? As for the story I think it might take place after return of the jedi to subvert our expectations building homes, cities, and infrastructure is gonna take some time even with star wars technology. I really get the feeling Cal is going to choose subsistence I believe he's fed up with all of the death and violence and intends to stay gone until the first order begins to pose a great threat to the Galaxy once more. I think they'll push this too so that we can one day see Cal make a live action appearance potentially in Asoka season 2. I think Cal will guide bode's daughter to Asoka to steer her away from the path of hatred at the cost of his own life.
Could the last boss of the next game be the mother of the dark and light side embodiments ? You know , the being who lives in the abyss because luke skywalker contained her there.
You mean abeloth? Most likely not. Aside from the fact that she is from legends (disney dont like that) timeline wise she wouldnt show up yet, since luke didnt show up either. Cals story is way to early to meet her. Not to mention that he would get bodied more then when he fought vader
I think Trilla is still alive cere hinted it once when she died to Vader and at the end of the game she said guide her through the darkness. The third game will be about embracing the dark side and learning how to control it with the help of Trilla. That’s what I think
There seemed to be some relevance to what Cere said to Cal, and the camera focusing on her lightsaber, just before the credits roll. I’m guessing she’s telling Cal to train Kata and perhaps give her Cere’s lightsaber?
At the end of the third game, Empire will come in full force and Cal will be forced to close the Koboh Abyss maybe ever destroying part of the fleet while they travel the Koboh Abyss. This will cut off Tanalorr from the rest of the galaxy. With epilogue in the future (like in "Red Dead Redemption") where we play as Kata were they finally able to open Koboh Abyss and join the rest of the galaxy.
Its hard to say where the 3rd will go. I'm sure it will have something to do with Tanalorr, but with this being just 9 years before Yavin. They could retcon some stuff to make the canon lore more interesting, because lets face it the new canon is an incohesive mess. I would really like to see a high republic trilogy and the downfall of the high republic.
3:29 imperial forces could say otherwise? The Empire (imperial forces) didn’t exist at the time of the high republic. It was hundreds of years later. Did you misspeak or did I misunderstand you?
Well hear me out here, If you consider that kata is roughly the same age as Luke and leia I'd say roughly a year younger. If she is force sensitive she could be Mara jade. With the way the jedi games have been increasing the intensity of the villain every time there's only 2 threats left they could do and ones a extreme stretch. 1 the most likely option is vader and palpatine. The extreme stretch is some random old Republic era sith lord
When I saw Merrin repair the stone things on Jedha, I immediately thought she will repair the holocron. She has the powers and now, when they can just hide on Tanalorr, it's actually a pretty good idea
I think eather they will build an order, but will oversleep the final standown with luke and emperor. Or they will fail. Having a big war of cal vs empire will not make sense as mpire would have to win big time
the galactic map on the Mantis shows Koboh to be on the left side of the galaxy, at the edge of known space. After that, there are the Unknown Regions, a place where Ezra and Thrawn went in Rebels. Maybe Tanalorr is also in the Unknown Regions, I'd love to see both of them together building a new jedi order, more alike to the jedi order of the past, not the one we see during the Galactic Republic
Bodes vision during the fight with dagan of stormtroopers breaking down the door to get his daughter probably showed it taking place on tanaloor. I think that really cemented his betrayal when cal decided he wanted to use it as a hub to fight the empire
Why didnt you bring up any part of Cal embracing the Dark side at the end and the loud sinister music playing after the ending? I feel like thats the biggest cliffhanger and questions going forward.. What will happen to Cal?
The game was so good, and I loved the story! But I feel like they were gonna finish the story on this one but was forced into the cliffhanger ending. Atleast from my POV. It just felt so abrupt…even with the almost 20 hour main story. But I’ll definitely be eager for the next game
I hope the next game does a time jump, seeing Kata a few years older, being taught by Cal how to pilot her dads' Z-95 and meditating and some Jedi training... being taught by Merrin and Greez various stuff... generally i wanna see them being like a family raising a child.
I think by the time Cal is ready the New Republic will be founded and he will likely withdraw back to Tannalor at the end. He would go back after seeing how things are and being sickened by how soft the New Republic is and how Lukes idea of a new Jedi Order is just like the old one. He would found an Order that teaches how to use attachments in a constructive way and how to understand and regulate emotions. This would allow them to have an Order that recognizes and accepts that everyone has emotions and attachments and therefore be a much more stable and sustainable Order. There would probably be lessons about the dark side about how it lures people in and how it works so as to lower the risk of curious individuals falling to it due to their curiosity.
Exactly how Luke Trained his New Jedi Order in Legends (to teach how to use attachments in a constructive way and how to understand and regulate emotions), the Way you have just described Cal's Teachings, to use the Attachment of Friends and Family as Strength. In Legends Luke had a wife (Mara Jade) and a child (Ben), Leia and Han had Jason and Jaina (twins) and Anakin
Been thinking about the meaning of the title “Jedi Survivor”. Most people might think the Jedi Survivor is Cal, Dagan, or maybe even Bode. But I think it’s different. Order 66 definitely changed the ones who survived. I think it means the Jedi still exist. But there are no padawans. No knights. No masters. Only survivors.
I would like it if they did Cal becoming a jedi master or becoming a Sith since hes got a taste for the dark side, if he went the dark side route it would be a Anakin reboot, Cal either losing Marrin or her being in dnager along with his friends turning more into a sith, on the other hand where i think the next game is going is Cal becoming a jedi master, we see Cal go from padawan to a jedi knight in fallen order, then in survivor its his story as a knight and getting more experience and being tempted by the dark side and overcoming it, not only that but itll be a story of kata going from padawan to knight, and when your padawan becomes a knight you can become a master so Cal becomes jedi master.
I think they should go the infamous route or knights of the old republic route and let you make light side dark side choices.... and have different endings based on light dark and balanced...
When you consider the events of Fallen Order and Survivor, I wonder is the third game will allow you to choose if you go light side or dark side. Cal at this point is still struggling with his inner demons and while he did give Bode every opportunity to stop, that's not something he's gonna get over easily. On a side note, I'm kinda wondering what they'd the next game. I was thinking Jedi Legacy, but that might be considered stealing due to Hogwarts Legacy.
@@myles5276 At a guess, they might refine some of the existing styles like they did with the ones from Fallen Order. The crossguard style in particular may be good for heavy attacks, but the cumbersome nature of it doesn't really allow you to make use of some of its abilities.
Idk I’d love the idea of a new game but how would they continue the fight. Cal is cannon and the empire doesn’t fall till luke. Idk what fight they’d win. They could have live action in a show of a Jedi finding tanalor. But idk how they can fight the empire anymore.
Might be a dumb question but do you think kata will be a Jedi? I just finished the game and was maybe wondering if she could be in the next game and cal is her master? That would be cool, again might be a dumb question
With kata joining the group at the end, im wondering if the next game could potentially be a god of war style game with cal teaching her while acting as a father figure.
It possible the Purgil brought Ezra to Tannalorr and that we could likely get a live action Cal in the Ahsoka show. The Abyss being a entry point into the new beyond and Luke’s compass in TLJ is actually part of this.
Honestly I’d like dlc where we find the scattered remnants of the hidden path on different planets. And then in the third game have it take place like 10 years later with an older cal in his 30s training kata. Having us take on the empire traveling to different planets helping them out by clearing out the empires hold. It could end with the empire finding tanalorr and raiding the planet and we close off the path to tanalorr for good trapping us on the planet with what’s left of the hidden path/people we transported and some of the empires remnants. The story is leading to cal becoming a Jedi master. The first game he was a padawan, this game he’s a knight and with the next he becomes a master and has to deal with the struggles of being a leader and training a padawan
I find it very, very unlikely Cal survives if they do another game. Merrin will survive (since she’s the last Dathomiri witch in canon), probably with Cal’s child. Then she can train her kids a combined style of the force and magic.
i'm looking forward to see where the story with kata goes. if there's another 5 year time jump then she'd be a teenager and maybe old enough to actively join cal on missions as a companion.
So it has already been confirmed by the games director that going I to this game, they knew that they were going to make this franchise into a trilogy. That would be pretty necessary to know to give the writer the best opportunity to create a great story
Issue I had was he nearly killed his daughter several times during that fight and he saw that he was doing that and didn’t stop. So it’s odd that his daughter would be his motive.
The next game will be a 10 year time jump for that i am certain. Cameron Monaghan will appear in live action, he will meet Quinlan Vos as well , Quinlan will be in the new jedi order as well as Old Man Quinlan. The new jedi order will have plenty of order 66 survivor's like oppo rancisis as well
Bode hadn’t meant cal prior to the story that was the first time they interacted, he came recommended from saw gerreras people, who cal was working with at that time
Im guessing Kata will be Cal's apprentice a la God of War. She will be playable and will have Nightsister skills also. The narrative thread will be Cal's flirting with the Darkside and through him, Kata and her memories and bitterness of her true father. Hoping Vader takes a leading antagonist role, an undeafeatable like Nemesis in Res Evil 1.
Wild theory but I could see a Kratos/Ateeus for Cal/Kata coming of age story for the pair but eventually Kata succumbs due to her internal suffering of her father's death at the hands of Cal which leads to her fall to the dark side and she becomes the main villain of the last game
But also the time skip should have to happen it should take place between the empire strikes back and return of the jedi. Remember jedi fallen order is set 5 years after the events of revenge of the sith and survival is set before kenobi (disney plus series)
I feel like the ending for the game could set up a 3rd game but however it will be a 15 year times place between the events of the Empire Strikes back and return of the jedi
Imo it's going to be 3 games, at least for Cal as the main character. Fallen Order: Padawan era, him accepting what happened to his master, overcoming his traumas, and being Knighted by Cere at the end. Survivor: Jedi Knight era, is about Cal dealing with the pull to the dark side, at the end he still haven't dealt with it fully, but is in the path to becoming a Master Third game: Jedi Master era, in this one imo Cal will finally overcome his dark side temptations in act 1 of the game, and later with the forces on Thanalor help the resistance at the battle of Endor. Kata might be the next protagonist going on, from game 4 onwards if they make it. I imagine she will be kinda like Ciri, she'll learn the jedi ways from Cal and Merryn will also teach her a thing or two from the night sisters. We might even see Bode's force ghost at a key point in her journey, there's a lot of potential to her character.
9:25 Cal was not jedi before the first game. He was a padawan under master tapal and he was probably teenager. In the first game with the guidance of Cere and with all of the hardships he had he passed the test, found his crystal and knighted by Cere. In the end of first game and second game he was proper jedi knight and like he said he knighted on the field.
Cal was part of the clone wars conflict along side Jaro he even tells Bode about his first battlefield engagement after fighting the Droidekas. He made a cameo in the one of the books as Jaro's padawan.
I think Cal's group are going to spend the entire Galactic Civil War at Tanalor preparing to fight the empire but finding out they missed it. I think the game will do a time jump to after the Galactic Civil war perhaps even Episode 9 and they finally come out of hiding during the Rey movie timeline as the independent Jedi nation. Cal has made changes to the Jedi code and allowed connections between people and other jedi and has found that to make you stronger as long as you watch for the warning signs. There are many stories to be told if something like that happens in the galaxy. Saying that it was a mistake when the Jedi joined the Republic and that it was the beginning of the end for the Jedi. He could go as far as calling this new order something other then jedi.
This has one of the more genuinely mature and adult storylines in a video game and I definitely wasn’t expecting that in a fucking stars wars game of all places lol
It's laughable that you think in the third game Cal will take out Vader and the Emperor. Since these games take place before the events of A New Hope, you know both Vader and the Emperor live, since they don't die until the events of Return of the Jedi. Also I'm wondering if you know what the word "cliffhanger" means because the game doesn't end on a cliffhanger as you claim. Cal kills Bode, that's a conclusive ending. As you know throughout the game Cal can chat with others, if you continue playing after the story ends, his dialogue is mostly about gathering supplies to rebuild Tanalorr. So the third game will most likely take place, at least in part, on Tanalorr. None of this could be considered a cliffhanger though, this game does have a conclusion.
I don't get how that was a cliffhanger. They got to Tanalore, killed Bode, will continue Ceres work with the Hidden Path, likely raise Kata until she's old enough to go do whatever she wants. I thought it wrapped everything up.
This might be a long comment and I'm sorry lol. The way I see the ending is that, Cal embraces the darkness but refuses to let it corrupt him. Cuz you still can use the OP move with the dark side, so, that's how I see the ending. And how he'd train the next generation of Jedi, not being afraid of the dark side, but able to use it for the right reasons. And I think that'd be very interesting to see Cal train some Jedi to use the light side of the Force, but not fear the dark side if necessary cuz the dark side could be tempting. (I also just beat the game a couple hours ago and it's got me thinking lol) And with the next game, I think Cal, Merrin and Cata (Kata, I can't remember lol) all leading the Jedi order. Cuz the way the game ends, Cal promises to Cere he'll start a new Jedi order and to train Cata (Kata, I'm gonna do this the whole time, don't judge me pls lol) So, I imagine the third game will be exactly that. And tbh, I want Cata (Kata) to be the playable character, it'll be a fresh change of pace for this particular series. Not that it's a bad thing having had Cal as a lead, he's probably my favorite Star Wars character, but I think honestly, with this ending of him promising to start a new order and to train Cata (Kata), that could be a good ending for him. So, honestly, I think a good way to continue the series is with her being the lead now, in her own self contained story. That's what I'm hoping for but I imagine it'll be Cal as the lead, training her and a bunch of padawans, having a haven for people persecuted by the Empire. What the story will be, idk, but we all know that's the basis for the next game.
Man that ending bummed me out. I literally didn't see that betrayal coming lol you know why? Red dead 2.... What a perfect person to cast for the role of bode. The actor also plays Charles in rdr2. He has the most likeable personality and comforting voice. I never saw it lol dammit. Stoked for the next one.
The ending didn’t Bode well with me.

At least it set up a third game pretty well tho
I enjoyed the ending...but I love your word play.

Back to his humble Abode then
For anyone wondering why Kata is so trusting of Cal an Merrin, 1 she’s clearly force sensitive. 2. She’s been a different person since her mother died. She said it herself. She watched her father change an had to adapt. She could sense cal an merrins actions were pure. And thought they could help bode. Unfortunately he was to far gone
She’s 100% going to play a huge part in the next game!
I'll go one step further.... the girl is roughly 10 or 11 years old.... what if bodes wife was .... trilla.... ? And her mother?
@This freaking Guy that would actually be an insane plot twist. Too bad they already revealed the mom, so that couldn't be the case
@@thisfreakingguy3833you can see a picture of bode and his wife inside of his room. It didn’t look like trilla

@@CalSkywalker but Ezra didn’t exiled him self from the galaxy voluntarily and is probably imprisoned, for Cal i could see him building a new order in his hidden exclave on the edge of the galaxy and for the next game to give us Bode’s daughter as main character
It would be hilarious if he had built up this massive army with some trained force users just to be told the empire was destroyed.
What you just said is so much more cliche and what you think is cliche isn’t really cliche
Do you have a source for cal being a gray Jedi?
It’s a non canon term, I’m curious
He was already susceptible to falling since he lost his wife .
@@757reaper exactly, bode asked Cal if he can save her from the empire and he literally didn’t answer him, that told Bode everything
I don't think ea would do that because people love to explore after the game but that would be fun to see from a viewer thought
@gr1me, they could defently do a mission reset ending. Lots of games do that. So that players can still explore the galaxy after they beat the game.😊
He is absolutely gonna appear in a live action movie in the mandoverse. I think using the actors likeness was intentional
Cal is supposed to make a live action appearance after his third game so I'm gonna say no...
To the unknown regions
@@realnoble676 that’s actually a really good take and fits with his story tbf
I hope they don’t mix this up with the new garbage they created
@@realnoble676well I see what you’re talking about finding himself and everything. But multiple times Cal kept saying he does want to rebuild the order. Even in the end of Survivor he still had the mindset that Tanalor will be the next step for the order. He was trying to find himself and be his own person. But he’s still fighting for GOOD. For the people. For the Jedi. Against the evil empire.
The jedi order has fallen, they need to a new order with new philosophies
@@s-luke2842 would be pretty interesting
cal’s journey isn’t over, he cannot hang up his lightsaber especially after all the loses he’s suffered. to lose people then call it quits would not be a suitable way to end the story for him, cal deserves a good ending for once. where he feels as if he’s finally accomplished something. you hear him saying that all of his attempts are useless but now with the losses he’s endured he would be more motivated to honour or get revenge. honour his losses by destabilising the order or by embracing his dark side by getting revenge. i truly believe the next game will give us the option of cal’s path. after all even after finishing the game you still have embrace darkness ability

Since the opening of the game I expected Bode to be a traitor. Breaking off with three ties was the biggest trope flag for that. I’m a little upset at the revelation of him being a Jedi. That I was not expecting
Anyone who is too useful is going to be evil, he was way too perfect
Star wars is essentially a story about family and love. Its Luke's love for his father that saved Vader and the galaxy.

Dagan's Crystal is completely red, Bode's is more orange.

No bode was set on cal and the hidden path by the i.s.b. from the start tanalor was just a bonus for him
Kata will never trust or love Cal.
I felt so sad in the ending. Bode only wanted to keep his daughter safe but got killed, leaving his daughter parentless
Love this game, just beat it. took me 81 hours.
Dude. That was BRUTAL
Never in my life did I think I'd see such a cold ass double tap in Starwars, especially Disney owned Starwars.
I hope this is true cuz that sounds so awesome
Absolutely love this game
with this mary sue rebuilding the jedi order im willing to bet they establish the new main jedi temple/order on Tanalor
I could totally see Cal training Kata in the next one and then him dying like his master Jaro Tapal did during Order 66 from Fallen Order. Full circle
Not story wise, but gameplay wise seems they’re carving the way for Starkillers grand return
Ya'll will just NEVER let that go huh? He ain't comin back

There seemed to be some relevance to what Cere said to Cal, and the camera focusing on her lightsaber, just before the credits roll. I’m guessing she’s telling Cal to train Kata and perhaps give her Cere’s lightsaber?
I think cal will just use tanalore as a safe have not to bild a army to keep the one he cares about safe because of the death of cere
It seems like the dark side of the force will be a big issue for cal next game i would like for him to master both light and dark sides of the force
How does one close a nebula?
@@goldenghost2001 Using the Force (you pretty much can do anything in Star Wars using the Force)
Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th Be With You
Its hard to say where the 3rd will go.
Having a big war of cal vs empire will not make sense as mpire would have to win big time
I think the next game will be about kal and kata as 2 MCs, where at the end kata will fight the fallen kal
3:20 bro said imperial forces when talking about the high republic
the galactic map on the Mantis shows Koboh to be on the left side of the galaxy, at the edge of known space.
Kata will be padawan of cal
And Cal will use the power of the Dark Side
What do you think they will do with fighting styles? I really don't know other the the tonfa lightsabers what cal hasn't already acquired.
I didn't take bode seriously until he took that stance
Might be a dumb question but do you think kata will be a Jedi? I just finished the game and was maybe wondering if she could be in the next game and cal is her master? That would be cool, again might be a dumb question
With kata joining the group at the end, im wondering if the next game could potentially be a god of war style game with cal teaching her while acting as a father figure.
It possible the Purgil brought Ezra to Tannalorr and that we could likely get a live action Cal in the Ahsoka show. The Abyss being a entry point into the new beyond and Luke’s compass in TLJ is actually part of this.
It would be nice to see her embrace both sides of the force and become a Grey jedi
It would be cool if we could play as cal and merrans daughter that was a jedi and a nightsister.
I was thinking that as well. It could be something new and cool a jedi/nightsister or brother lol
@@johnsepulvedacruz6428 yes it would take it in a new exciting direction
God no.... disney is full of empowered woman. If this game isnt about cal anymore, i jump ship and i know im not alone.
@@Cadugaming you are alone... that would be something new and cool. But I agree they need cal more right now. Like make 2 more games for him
@@johnsepulvedacruz6428 o believe me. Theres plenty who had enough with disney shit.
i'm looking forward to see where the story with kata goes. if there's another 5 year time jump then she'd be a teenager and maybe old enough to actively join cal on missions as a companion.
Destroyed his own crystal? I don’t know what game you played. If that was so, how did he still have a functioning light saber? He made it bleed
The story was really good! I just finished the yesterday, I can’t believe I didn’t beat the game last year lol 😂
The next game will be a 10 year time jump for that i am certain. Cameron Monaghan will appear in live action, he will meet Quinlan Vos as well , Quinlan will be in the new jedi order as well as Old Man Quinlan. The new jedi order will have plenty of order 66 survivor's like oppo rancisis as well
Bode hadn’t meant cal prior to the story that was the first time they interacted, he came recommended from saw gerreras people, who cal was working with at that time
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some are considered to be unnatural.
-Darth Sideous.
Greeze is secretly Danny devito. It will all be revealed in the third installment
@KevinGame3 yeah she's young but if vader finds her them he might take her and turn her to the dark side
@@nathanmeduri5781 yes indeed but we also hope that we see Luke skywalker cameo
I feel like Cal will somehow have a hand into the events that will create the rebellion. That would fulfill the promise he made to cere.
The first time I met bode in the game I told my self “something about him is off, idk what, but I don’t trust him.” I fucking called it
I feel like the ending for the game could set up a 3rd game but however it will be a 15 year times place between the events of the Empire Strikes back and return of the jedi
Imo it's going to be 3 games, at least for Cal as the main character.
Fallen Order: Padawan era, him accepting what happened to his master, overcoming his traumas, and being Knighted by Cere at the end.
Survivor: Jedi Knight era, is about Cal dealing with the pull to the dark side, at the end he still haven't dealt with it fully, but is in the path to becoming a Master
Third game: Jedi Master era, in this one imo Cal will finally overcome his dark side temptations in act 1 of the game, and later with the forces on Thanalor help the resistance at the battle of Endor.
EA won't be making anymore games since they want to focus on their original IPs the 3rd game will be the last.
I kinda hope they add Cal to one of the live action or even animated shows, and that could take place between this game and the third game
The ending felt like a finale for the mantis crew and probably teasing a movie to probably end it of
This has one of the more genuinely mature and adult storylines in a video game and I definitely wasn’t expecting that in a fucking stars wars game of all places lol
11:19 From what I heard, it’s going to be a trilogy of games so the third game is likely going to be the final game.
I would love if Cal and Merrin train Kata in the Force together and she eventually becomes a Jedi/Nightsister hybrid.
(I also just beat the game a couple hours ago and it's got me thinking lol)
And with the next game, I think Cal, Merrin and Cata (Kata, I can't remember lol) all leading the Jedi order.
