Vivaldi's Cello Sonatas are ALL MASTERPIECES, incredibly poignant and melodic, but never banal or predictable: they seem to paint life in all its nuances with impressive clarity.
Vivaldi is a pure genius, without compromise.
I agree!
ok buddy
So true.
When’s this guy going on tour
He probably already Is in the after life ig
Time stamps
2nd movement: 4:45
3rd movement: 7:40
4th movement: 10:41
BEST version I've ever heard
The fourth movement is at about 10:41
I first heard the third movement in Barry Lyndon. One of the most amazing composers of all time. This is brilliant. I've just ordered in a version of the complete cello sonatas but my first love was for L' Estro Armonico.
7:40 3rd movement
Now my soul is light as a bird

When is he coming to OAKA?
Nice
very good since its the only professional one i could find that actually played it at the right pitch. I think its to do with how in that period tuning was different so they did at something like 43 hertz i think. Just a guess but i know its something like that.
Lightning Rocraft used to be around 435 now it's 440
ok thx
I hate to necropost, but: The tuning standards have varied throughout the centuries, sometimes quite drastically. Most baroque musicians would tune their instruments to around A4 = 415 Hz and would use a just intonation tuning system (different notes are derived by stacking perfect fifths on top of each other and deriving octaves from those). Modern musicians tune their instruments to A4 = 440 Hz and would use an equal temperament standard (the octave is divided into 12 equal semitones).
@@joaohenrique03 I know what you´re talking about and yet i did not understand a single word from that comment, my god Music is another world

it's not a cello sonata, it's a low string sonata
