Love all the kind comments about Jonathan Brandis. I wish he would've known how many people loved him. Its difficult watching him in these knowing he's not around anymore. I hope together as fans we can keep help his memory alive. Love and peace to you all.
I wonder if there's gonna be somebody to ask Will Smith, Tatyana Ali's Fresh Prince Of Bel Air co-star to make a subtle reference of the late young actor in future Live-Action Aladdin films? It seems that the late Robin Williams wasn't the only person to voice a character from the original animated versions. Jonathan apparently voiced an Aladdin character named Mozenrath whose first appearance was in the animated TV series.
@@kandiiyuutaamu It is sad to say this but Jonathan's role in Aladdin has been largely forgotten along with the tv show itself. (it hasn't even been released on DVD) I do wish Jonathan would be more remembered by Hollywood though.

We all share your sadness. 💔 It's hard watching him on seaquest and imagining the world today without that smile or voice anywhere around. But as fans we can all band together to keep his memory alive forever. I hope someday Jonathan will be more appreciated and given more credit for his accomplishments.

So that is why I could not understand the cancelation. In my eyes, the reboot with Michael Ironside as Captain Oliver Hudson had been a success. and could had gone on like the one of the STARGATE show.

It’s 2021, still no Seaquest! But if the Starship does reaches orbit soon, it really will not matter! We will finally be free to leave the cradle of Earth! No children stays in their first bed forever! It’s long overdue for mankind to grow again!
The first season was the best, it started to lose its way in season 2 and the whole Alien abduction just killed it... I often wonder is a reboot now would work?
A reboot would work but they need several key elements. 1. A good young cast. 2. Amazing cinematography. 3. Realistic and relevant undersea storylines. If it was done properly it would be highly successful. But intelligent Hollywood minds are difficult to find these days. 😛

I loved this show when it aired but I must admit I liked the Roy Schneider captain over this one shown in the video. I believe that was his name but please excuse my spelling if I got it wrong. I would love to see the show come back since I thought it was pretty neat and of course I was into conservation and the environment.

I hate that he was just pushed aside and forgotten. Even when he died it barely made the news with the exception of some articles. He was a very decent person with morals and was very kind. As far as I know there was nobody he worked with or met that disliked him.

I was always disappointed with the season two and three bridge set. The first season set absolutely kicked arse it was a totally original design. It's totally a shame that it was destroyed after the final episode of the first season because they thought the TV show wasn't going to get renewed.

I remember watching this as a kid and I couldn’t wait to grow up. I was looking forward to all of the technology and living beneath the sea and having a flying car. Turns out that the only prediction to come true was the ecological disaster. :(
Back then they said the same crap.. They claimed the world would end in 10 years from the ozone layer.. Funny thing is it never happened.. Not long ago it came out that the ozone layer that they claimed would destroy the world and was to far gone had just fixed itself... Funny how all the people back then screaming and demanding stuff concerning the environment are the biggest polluters and they all seem to live on the water which they claim will be destroyed by the rising oceans..
Roy Scheider was right in his decision to quit the show when it turned more into science fiction than the actual marine and oceanographic discovery show it started out as.

It's too bad this show took the path that they did. They were really onto something by 2032. If it hadn't been screwed up so bad by then and people were watching it I think the show could have lasted a lot longer. It's too bad they cancelled it when they did. Maybe it could have rebounded.

Although, I am not one of his many hardcore fans, it doesn't mean I shouldn't acknowledge and respect the kind of person the late young actor was and the things he did in life. However, I constantly get mixed feelings when it comes to his fanbase. Don't get me wrong! It's just that based on the relationship both he and Tatyana had, I would rather see him with someone who can literally look out for him especially when it involves his wild fangirls. @@kandiiyuutaamu One of the things that I believe that may have saved Jonathan's life was that he needed a serious friend/girlfriend. Something I don't think he had despite having a small group of friends. He needed someone that would watch what medicine he was taking or sit down with him and plead him to get help with his depression especially after saying "I might kill myself" (Probably would've been nice if he had a roomate) Plus I think all his fans had good intentions. When I think of Jonathan or River Phoenix. I think of how great it would be having them as just normal friends. The way Jonathan's fans could've won his heart would be to treat him like hes a normal guy. Treat him like hes not part of hollywood. I think a lot of stars want to be treated that way when they meet people. I know River absolutely wanted to be treated that way.

Yeah I'm the same. I much prefered the first two seasons. The third had too big of a shift and was very jarring to transition over to.

Jonathan Brandis. I have not heard that name in a long time. Had a super crush on him when I was young, I watched everything he was in, my favourite was SeaQuest DSV. I am super surprised that he is mentioned here and not so long ago and by younger people. I would have loved to have seen where his career would have gone. Brilliant!
Jonathan Brandis has a growing fanbase even in 2021. Many fans have made video tributes of him. Many call them "edits" in 2019 he was tagged in 41k posts on Instagram.

Loved both series. Saw them when they aired. Didn't own any way to record the shows then.

I was always disappointed with the season two and three bridge set. The first season set absolutely kicked arse it was a totally original design. It's totally a shame that it was destroyed after the final episode of the first season because they thought the TV show wasn't going to get renewed.
Moving from California to Florida probably didn't help.

I remember watching this as a kid and I couldn’t wait to grow up. I was looking forward to all of the technology and living beneath the sea and having a flying car. Turns out that the only prediction to come true was the ecological disaster. :(

Not long ago it came out that the ozone layer that they claimed would destroy the world and was to far gone had just fixed itself...

Roy Scheider was right in his decision to quit the show when it turned more into science fiction than the actual marine and oceanographic discovery show it started out as.

I thought Peacock is asking for a credit card - so I could not enjoy... It´s difficult to watch SQ in Germany (even with vpn - the server detects it) and unfortunately RUclips deleted all episodes from the channel last year - only resurrection ist still abvailable. Please conider: there are also fans outside of America!
A credit card isn't required to watch SeaQuest with. Credit cards are only needed for premium shows.
I don't know why he killed himself. He was still so young. Lots of options in life. Maybe stuck in tunnel vision if what he wanted.

It's too bad this show took the path that they did. They were really onto something by 2032. If it hadn't been screwed up so bad by then and people were watching it I think the show could have lasted a lot longer. It's too bad they cancelled it when they did. Maybe it could have rebounded.
I wish they would've filmed the next episode. It was a lucas centered episode about finding his dad.

@@kandiiyuutaamu Season 2 was what caused seaquests fatal train wreck. The 3rd season was an improvement but episodes kept getting preempted by nbc sports which didn't help the situation they were already in.

@@blondeboyworld That's sweet! Although, I am not one of his many hardcore fans, it doesn't mean I shouldn't acknowledge and respect the kind of person the late young actor was and the things he did in life.
However, I constantly get mixed feelings when it comes to his fanbase. Don't get me wrong! I don't believe Jonathan's fans are bad people, they're just lovesick crazy for the guy in a very innocent way. It's just that based on the relationship both he and Tatyana had, I would rather see him with someone who can literally look out for him especially when it involves his wild fangirls. They're an absolute force to be reckoned with! XD
@@kandiiyuutaamu One of the things that I believe that may have saved Jonathan's life was that he needed a serious friend/girlfriend. Something I don't think he had despite having a small group of friends. He needed someone that would watch what medicine he was taking or sit down with him and plead him to get help with his depression especially after saying "I might kill myself" (Probably would've been nice if he had a roomate) Plus I think all his fans had good intentions. When I think of Jonathan or River Phoenix. I think of how great it would be having them as just normal friends. The way Jonathan's fans could've won his heart would be to treat him like hes a normal guy. Treat him like hes not part of hollywood. I think a lot of stars want to be treated that way when they meet people. I know River absolutely wanted to be treated that way.
