My jaw dropped, I couldn't believe it. I expected it from any other child star but not Brandis. And after all the years I'm still sad about it and it feels like as if it was just yesterday I saw that headline. What a loss. That dude is truly missed. RIP Jon

I watch the movie lady bugs over and over and over again because of him
as he got older he became a heavy drinker and also became very depressed about his career. he had a scene in the movie HARTS WAR, which he thought would be his comeback but the scene was cut from the film and that pushed him over the edge which led to him hanging himself. so sad. he was great.

A lot of people didn’t find out about his suicide right away and sadly it’s because his “celebrity” had waned by 2003. He was no longer a bankable Star with his own show and he was having a tough transition from kid star to adult star and it was this that led him to take his own life at 27 😞 Rip
Not to mention he also had bipolar disorder that may have also contributed to his decision to end his life
He was zonked on barbiturates at the end , he wasn’t ‘all there’ at the end , which is sad

I am right there with you!! I was out of the country for a while, and just found SeaQuest on Netflix, and wondered what he was up to. I was devastated to find out about the suicide, baffled as to how he could see no other way out of his depression. He was a very important figure in my adolescence, and I was blown away. What a loss...
