My favourite theory is for Shrek. The first time you ever see or hear the name Shrek is when donkey asks what is his name. Most people just give the name no hesitation, but Shrek hesitates for a second, saying “Uuh… Shrek”. The theory is that he was never loved enough to have ever been given a name, so made up his name on the spot. I love it, as it just adds that extra layer to the onion/ogre!
Sometimes I think what culture doesn't have full lists and just makes up the last ones out of no where. "They weren't real because its a movie" good lord
You have to willingly sacrifice someone you love to get the Soul Stone, so getting Gamora and Nebula to hate each other so that one would throw the other off the cliff wouldn't work. When Thanos and Gamora are on Vormir, Gamora initially laughs at him because she thinks there's nothing he loves, which would have forever blocked him from being able to obtain the stone.
In addition, While she has personality - Nebula is NOT a living being! She is an Android... While it may be possible to feel love towards what is essentially a machine, it has no soul!
@@Phoenix2312No, Nebula’s a cyborg, not an android. Not only do we get multiple confirmations that Thanos replaced most of her parts, we even see a more…..well, human is the wrong word as she isn’t one, but definitely a (literally) more organic version of Nebula in What If, as in that timeline Star Lord T’Challa convinced Thanos to abandon his quest before he even got started
@@CyborgCharlotte I do apologise... Was that in one of the movies? I am not familiar with the Comic Book lore... Hell even in teh movies I may have missed it!
The one I'd have to disagree with is about Thanos. When he and Gamora got to Vormir, Red Skull had to tell how how to obtain the soul stone. So he couldn't have been plotting them against each other for it.
I've read all Three Books in the Silence of the Lambs Series and Hannibal Lector was not only a Genius but a Supra Genius. There was a Scene is the Book where you See his Thought Process and His Mind is Like a Huge Library and he, Actually, in his mind, goes to a Card Catalogue to Find that Memory.
*I have the best fan theory. The Matrix is terminator sequel. In the matrix Morpheus says how the war started has been forgotten over time, but they do know humans blocked out the sun so the machines can’t use solar power. John Conner gets put into the matrix (forcefully or him sacrificing himself) and because he is a man out of time due to his dad being from the future, his genetic material being passed down eventually leads to neo (and possibly the “other ones”) Ths prophecy could actually be a plan by people from John Conner’s time. While decoding the Matrix so the humans could utilize it they realize that John’s brain works differently and he could bend the laws of physics. Then they theorize that if his dna getting passed down through the system would eventually allow for people to fight from the inside. So he sacrifices his freedom and allows himself to be captured and put into the matrix. But since there are so many humans, the trait is so rare, and so few people are looking, it takes forever to find someone with the gift. So long that it’s forgotten and the whole concept becomes a legend. Kind of like how the second coming of Jesus is now. most have heard about it, a lot of people have a working understanding of it, but most think it’s just a story, & the out of the ones that do believe it only a small percentage believe it will be in their lifetime. Come on Hollywood big wigs. That idea is arguably so much better than the last few installments of matrix movies, and definitely the last several terminator movies. You can hire me for less than you paid the people that wrote those train wrecks for much less.*
I’m with you on that but wondered if it was because I read the book first, I also saw a similar parallel with Mother Abigail in the Stand but a lot of mini series watchers think that’s not right. 🤷🏻♀️
It wasn’t obvious, I’ve only just learned about it. Googled it though and Stephen King has said several times this is true when not even being asked about it. So it’s not a fan theory at all, it’s a confirmed fact. 🤷♀️
the film is a very obvious jesus allegory, but i guess him actually being the second coming is a step beyond that. wouldn't really count that one or the pixar ones though as even theories. they add nothing. the jurassic park one is also a bit of nothing too, dodgson probably had nothing to do with the sabotage of the park beyond nedry's shortsighted disabling of park systems but i think in the book and deleted dialogue from the movie he does specifically target the theft for the weekend the guests arrive as he believes they'll be a distraction or could even be blamed for the theft over nedry.
With ‘Inglorious Basterds’ it was Hickox that gave them away, but not just the non-German three. His accent played a part in it. The major mentioned he was good with languages and clearly pointed out that Hickox had an odd accent. That shows he was on their trail from the beginning. The three fingers just proved his suspicions. None of the other Germans noticed the slip up because they weren’t looking for it.
Apart from having Stiglitz, who was famous among the SS, with them I thought the exact same thing about Fassbender. I did German for 6 years and I remember saying to my other half, "You'd think Fassbender, who is half German would be able to do a convincing German accent", then the scene progressed with the private being confused about it. I agree it was his accent.
so is everyone just going to ignore the line where Major Hellstrom tells Hickox that he's just given himself away and that he is no more German than the scotch?
@@MikeWazOcka when have people ever let something being explicitly shown and/or stated get in the way of their convoluted, farfetched, half-baked theories?
This is a fan theory video. They’re explaining theories not explaining true plot points. I can’t decide if you’ve misunderstood the video or just really enjoy that you understood the scene. It’s clearly what you’ve said, he was already on edge over the accent and behaviour of the group and the fingers pushed it over the edge. You’ve just taken this video far too seriously. Your comment was just as pedantic as the theory is convoluted. Maybe look at what you’re doing before being so judgmental towards others just having fun with context. For me the Stiglitz was an obvious on the first watch, the random military personnel wouldn’t necessarily recognise him but there’s no way in your mind that you can’t believe that the officer that was questioning them wasn’t aware of the officer killing Nazi that went missing. That was either a point in the film that was overlooked, which I’m starting to believe, or it was as intentional as the theory suggests. 👌🏻 You have no reason to even be bothered by that.
yeah, it's both. i think had he had a less suspicious accent he could have played off the 3 as look at the dumb way americans do it, but combined with the accent his cover was blown.
I'm all about The Thing theory that MacReady is The Thing. Beginning of the flick the dog runs up and licks Benning's gloves. Bennings gets shot and MAcReady puts his bottle in the gloved hands of Bennings. MacReady then takes his bottle, goes back to his shack to get drunk and becomes the first one infected. We see how he infects The Doc in the shack as soon as he puts him in there. MAcReady takes a swig from a bottle and leaves it for The Doc to drink. They shouldn't share food or drink... even a single particle of this thing could transfer that way. That's information the whole crew should have been told, but it was only told to MacReady and then the person that told him immediately gets killed. Macready is constantly separating the group and taking people down one by one, Die Hard style. MacReady even speaks the following, paraphrased line: "This thing wants to infect everyone and go back to sleep in the ice until it's dug up later. And once it infects everyone, once there's no one left to kill it, then it's won." That's why MacReady smiles at the end when Child's drinks from his bottle. He's just infected Childs... who would have known not to share drink if MAcReady ever told him why food and drink shouldn't be shared. Music cue, smile, its infected everyone and goes back to sleep in the ice because it's won. Why can we see MacReady's breath in the end scene and not Childs? Because Childs was cold and wanted to avoid that so he got close to a fire. MacReady wants to freeze, and didn't cozy up to a fire like any sane human would. He's far enough away from it that his breath billows out like a dragon.
Best Pixar movcie is Onward for me. I have a bigger brother I love so much and is such an important person to me. After I saw the moie in cinema I needed to go to my brothers house, rang the bell and fell into his arms, crying my eyes out. He later watched the movie on Disney+ and his wife called me later and told me my brother was crying since 4 minutes straight...
The Soul Stone theory was clearly created by someone who watched the movie from the toilet while stoned. Thanos was legitimately surprised to discover the need for a sacrifice. He in no way planned it, he pitted them against each other to prevent them from rebelling against him.
John Coffey being the second coming of Christ is a reddit theory? Isn't that the entire point of the movie? A man with the ability to heal and resurrect, killed for the sins of others? Kinda on the nose.
The Jurassic Park theory makes zero sense. Why? Because Dodgson actually WANTED to get the Dino embryos. See, what's established in JP is that Nedry is greedy and shortsighted (pun intended), lowballing his bid to get the job as he was in debt and not actually realising how much work was involved (and that his bid was way too low), which is why he agrees to steal the embryos. Dodgson, on the other hand, is clearly intelligent, careful and makes sure his plans are thought out. If the Dino escapes had been his plan, the actual breakouts would have occurred after the ship left, leaving no chance that Nedry would fall foul of escaping animals (and also he would have directed Nedrys escape route so that, you know, IT DIDN'T GO THROUGH A CARNIVOROUS DINOSAUR ENCLOSURE!!!!!). It's far more plausible that Nedry is an idiot who didn't think further ahead than "power off means I can reach the docks without being electrocuted".
*Heres an even darker marvel theory. The real reason Odin adopted Loki was to sacrifice him for the soul stone. We know Odin sought the gems at one point. Adopting Loki and falling in love would be a way he could get the stone without sacrificing his wife, or Thor future king of Asgard.*
My theory is that Odin sacrificed his first wife/Hela's mother for the soul stone, but then took it back to Vormir later out of regret or possibly wanting to try and get his wife back. The stone was returned but his wife could not be brought back, so a while later he married Frigga and they had Thor. All this probably would have made Hela incredibly furious, leading to her revolt against Odin and trying to seize the throne, and then Odin exiles her from Asgard. He literally created his own villain out of his greedy desire for power 🤯😤
Palpatine created Anakin to give himself a "Young Skywalker" body to inhabit in order to gain immortality and to defeat death. This has implications for Rey "Skywalker" who did everything Luke refused to do by killing Palpatine. She is now actually Darth Sidious.
Then why didn't Palpatine let Anakin kill him in Episode III, when Anakin said that he wanted to? The whole "Sith transferring their spirits into bodies of people who kill them" thing was just nonsense invented out of nowhere by JJ Abrams for Episode IX.
@@michaelcamp4990 First, this is my own fan theory, not exactly what Disney will choose to do with the story, so please take all this with a grain of salt (or sand, whichever you prefer)... First, I don't recall Anakin ever trying to kill Palpatine until RotJ. In addition, Obi Wan beat Anakin, so we can't presume Anakin was stronger than everyone else at that time. Also, it's not just JJ Abrams, but George Lucas too! In RotJ, the emperor told Luke, "Good, I can feel your anger. I am defenseless. Take your weapon. Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!" I'm uncertain Palpatine ever knew Anakin wanted to overthrow him. I don't think Palpatine feared Anakin in the least. The rule of 2 in Sith culture is a culture of taking power for oneself. "Strike me down in anger and I will always be with you," even Luke said that in TLJ. The impression I got was that Palpatine was confident that Anakin thought of him like a beloved father figure. Anakin said he _could_ overthrow him when speaking to Padme, but he never suggested such to Palpatine. The reason Palps ended up not using Anakin's body for himself was that Obi Wan wrecked Anakin's body on Mustafar. In some of the materials that may not be cannon anymore, Palpatine was furious at Anakin's wrecked body. He made the "Darth Vader suit" to torture Anakin, not just to prolong his life. Not only did the pain increase Anakin's hatred. At the end of TRoS, Rey states that her name is "Rey Skywalker," which sent immediate shivers down my spine. Having been a fan for 40+ years, I took that to mean Palpatine won; he finally got what he wanted. Granted, I never in a zillion years expected disney to let the bad guy win, but that's what I took away from it. I also think Palpatine might've created Rey the same way he made Anakin in this theory, although I'm fairly sure Disney won't let it be written that way in Rey's followup movies, but I wanted to toss my theory into the mix while it can still apply to the story we now have at this moment.
Fan theories that are generally dark are not from real fans. Just assholes trying to ruin movies. They're needlessly dark. Either makes no sense to down right stupid and no moronic "fan" theory should change your mind about a movie you love. Just ignore these fake fans who live ruining things or at least trying to..
For anyone who doesn't get the Basterds' three-finger reference, Eastern Europeans use the thumb to count from one, while Western Europeans count from the index finger.
@@borrago - Did they? I honestly don't recall that. As a North American coming from the Water Polo world where all referee signals are Eastern European, I picked up the incongruity right away, and even thought that was an incredibly vague reference that extremely few people would get - I just don't recall the explainer in the movie (which I only watched once, so must have simply missed it).
@@FHL-Devils in this case only UK would be considered West Europe? And UK is South east Europe for people from island? That doesn't make sense. You have to see Europe in all to talk about that
I have a fan theory based on the novel Frankenstein. When Victor sent the electric current into the body the eyes opened . Thinking the corpse was really alive he fled to his bed, fell asleep ,dream of the creature looking at him then fled the room in a panic. Seeing him flee the landlord called the authorities , they removed the body and so when Victor returned later he assumed it had wandered off. Victor Frankenstein went Insane and killed his friend Henry, strangled William, killed his wife then chased his imagined creature into the arctic. He related his story to Robert Walton and Walton sent his letters to his sister once they were back in dock. Then the authorities came to Walton. explained that his friend was a Madman and Robert, embarrissed for his foolishness wrote the last letter to his sister with the false claim about seeing and talking to the creature.
I'm more of a fan of the H.P. Lovecraft "Reanimator" series. Lovecraft has his Protagonist describing the experiments of his "Mad" Companion from "University".
Absolutely love these fan theories! 😱🎬 It's like getting a behind-the-scenes look into the minds of fellow fans who've brilliantly connected the dots. These theories add a whole new dimension to my favorite movies. Mind = officially blown! 💥🤯
For Jurassic Park, atleast per the book (and certainly consistent with the movie since he didn't know his way around and met Dodgson on the mainland) Nedry was working remotely and was only on the island to help fix some of the many, many bugs. It was the only time Dodgson could have gotten his hands on the embryos.
Truman was on the show from birth so they could have just taught him not to question his environment. The show was sabotaged by the creators but it would have been a lot less appealing to the audience if they knew they were watching someone who was aware and content being trapped in a cage. It makes sense that the insider sabotaging would increase with the direction of the show focusing on Truman having a child.
A fan theory I read years ago that has some weight on it is that Tyler Durden was at one point real. He had died in a car accident that the Narrator investigated and caused the Narrator to create him as an imaginary friend. The Narrator is having to fudge reports around on his company's faulty vehicles and suffering from guilt, which is why he can't sleep. But he sees Tyler or his vision of him in the hotel restaurant video as a server. The next scene the Narrator is looking over a burnt remains of a car Tyler died in.
Jurassic Park, the problem was that despite his assurance of not sparing any expenses, Hammond did in fact spare expenses. If he did the dinosaur enclusures at the very least would have had some kind of moat or another secondary protection, as it is it was a single electrified fence. Any technical failure could have lead to a desaster, Nedry just caused that to happen at pretty much every enclosure at the same time. Also considering that you brought up the novels, how much of a cheapskate and ruthless businessman Hammond is, is also more obvious there. So I would say that's a bad theory. Basterds: I think that was confirmed, saw a different video analysing the scene that also used parts of the script for that. The guy realized early on that they weren't german, but he enjoyed the challenge of catching them in a lie, so the name he put onto Fassbenders card when they played that game was a character that Fassbender should know based on his cover story, but couldn't know because it was based on a movie that was only shown within germany. The 3 finger thing is just something that pissed the guy royally of, because they made it so obvious that they were not germans.
No one, absolutely no one, other than Hellstrom noticed Hicox's three finger gesture. No one. Maybe the bartender but he clearly did not care, just started pulling pints.
As much as I admire Se7en, the stated theory makes sense. Doe had a plan, and Mills got in the way of it..... and became part of it. I gotta believe he planned on dying in the end, though - "sacrificed for doing God's good work."
Kevin Spacey may have done some sketchy things in his life but, he Did play two of the most iconic movie villains in history. John Doe from Seven, and Verbal Kent in The Usual Suspects.
1993’s Fearless : the plane crashes because it was sabotaged by Elijah “Mister Glass” Price. Carla survives the crash and we see no scratches on her, but she’s not a sole survivor so Elijah did not notice. Then is the car crash. She has a C Collar applied but you see no broken bones, bruises or scratches. She just gets up from the stretcher. Carla was an unbreakable.
I struggle with the Gamora one, she didn’t start being decent towards Nebula until she had a little empathy put into her by the Guardians, then the ravagers. She needed to understand family before she meant enough to her. Thanos never created that environment and he wouldn’t have, they competed to better Gamora, she was the favourite and he was always pushing her to succeed, it’s literally why Nebula hated her so much. That was a deep situation we weren’t expecting and brought a new layer that made Thanos a little more sympathetic. I struggle to think that wasn’t a well thought out plan, compared to the slightly may make sense plan if put in practice differently and the stories of at least 4 characters were changed. 🤷♀️
Setting up daughters to do the sacrifice for him isn’t a thing I’d put past Thanos if he knew it was required… doesn’t really seem like there’s any evidence he did though. He seemed shocked by the revelation, and what would be the point of feigning that? Gamora was the only one to see his reaction and she was about to die. It’s adding a level of convolution for no reason other than stanning how smart and ruthless Thanos was which, like… c’mon. He already has that whole movie revolving around him. He don’t need head canon to pump him up even harder.
My favourite theory has to be the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theory about Willy's backstory. The entire movie, Willy Wonka was portrayed as an unreliable narrator. Look at his factory for example, no sane man would build something like that. At the end of the movie, we see inside his father's house a photo of Willy Wonka as a teenager. This implies that Willy had a falling out with his father after his teenage years and that his flashbacks were just his imagination where he remembers things in exagerated detail.
My favorite fan theory concerns "The Mist". After the horrible killing that occurs at the end, the father gets out of the car only to discover that if he had just waited a few minutes he would have witnessed the Army appearing to save the day. Truly horrible, right? But the theory goes back to the grocery store and that crazy lady who declared that the man's son had to be sacrificed to make the mist and the monsters go away. If they had waited a few minutes, an hour, or a month, the mist never would have disappeared. It was only after he shot his son, along with the three other adults in the car, that the sacrifice was complete. Only then did the mist part and he could see the Army and all the survivors. My assumption is that up until the man killed his son the soldiers were waging a losing battle with the monsters, trying to protect the innocent civilians in the truck. When he shot his son the mist left and they were saved. If this theory is correct they didn't have time at the end of the movie to tell the poor man what had happened. After he finished screaming one of the soldiers would have said something like, "It's the craziest thing mister, a few minutes ago we were about to be wiped out by those things in the mist, and then, poof! The fog and the monsters just faded away, almost like an act of God."
Finally some fresh fan theories. I swear that any time I see the "mindblowing fan theories" title, the video will have the same, tired theories about Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Pixar 😅
Ever since some moron suggested that Michael Myers' intended victim in Halloween was Annie and not Laurie Strode, my regard for fan theories is nearly non-existent. Unless the creator/director/writer of a film or other form of media verifies a theory, then it didn't happen.
Just watched this for the first time today, the 40th anniversary of when five teenagers spent all day in a Saturday detention at Shermer High (per the narration at the beginning of the movie). And here's my Breakfast Club fan theory: The whole thing is a figment of Allison's imagination. She's a basketcase with no friends and obvious mental health issues, so she creates a fantasy where she spends all day with the cool kids (and Brian), they all become friends with her, the jock becomes her girlfriend, and the principal gets a little bit of comeuppance. The justification for this: There's no way Brian brings a gun to school without getting arrested (or is dumb enough to try suicide with a flare gun). And Andy is at least suspended for taping Larry Lester's buns together, even in 1984.
Go on then, favourite Pixar movie is definitely Ratatouille. Top notch animation, one of the best stories they've put out, not a perfect disney ending but a 'right' ending.
I'm a big fan of the idea that "James Bond" is not a man's name, but an operation designation or title used by MI-6 for the particular set of responsibilities that one of their 00 agents takes care of. Every agent that fills the position of 007 is referred to as "James Bond," or at least "Bond" while on active duty, and since it is the only name that many operatives and assets know him as, they continue to do so when he is not on active deployment (such as when Daniel Craig's version was retired from active duty in 'No Time To Die'). This allows Bond to be a man of numerous faces, backgrounds, behaviors, and modi operandi. One fanfiction writer has gone so far as to refer to each Bond as a combination of the actor's first name and that last name, when speaking of them in comparison to the current Bond (i.e., Sean Bond, Roger Bond, George Bond, Timothy Bond, and Daniel Bond).
TOY STORY: I think there’s some real value to the theory. Especially when Buzz claims he doesn’t know he’s a toy but will also stop moving when Andy’s around. Cause it’s all in Andy’s head and. Not everything will make sense.
Excuse me, but fans breaking in? She was removed from the show cause he was attracted to her and beginning to give up on his existing fake wife. Such a shame
Im not sure why the theory that UP is a movie in the pixar universe would make its emotional opening any less emotional. UP is in fact, in reality, a movie. Everyone who watched it in reality knew it was a movie, and we all still sobbed like little babies by the end of those opening credits.
It isn't how she got to the wedding that is the issue; it is that Riley is _too young_ to have attended that wedding, as the bulk of the events in _Up_ take place in a setting that is as or a little _less_ modern than the events of _Inside Out_ .
Maybe Riley is a reincarnation of Ellie. I haven't heard anything like this recently, but there used to be a big deal made about people having memories from past lives unearthed during hypnosis, and this might be a hat-tip to that kind of thing.
Are we clear on timeline? This also could’ve been a tape of her family member’s wedding for all we know.. i’m just saying it doesn’t make sense that UP would be the 1 in the franchise in the bunch that would be “fake” amongst the others…. Shakey af.
It could be a documentary or news story about Carl's life too, I feel like an old guy taking his whole house on vacation without a ton of balloons would be newsworthy.
No no no no no no nooooooooooooooooo that 3 finger thing is a very genuine German thing. I lived in Germany and they would instantly know I was American because of it. It's something they notice immediately. It's so important that when me and my dad saw it we both went 'oh no he just gave himself away' to each other.
Infinity War theory doesn't make much sense. Thanos looks shocked and seems disappointed when he has to sacrifice Gamora and he isn't really a liar, so those are most likely genuine. Seems like he would've been better prepared for this eventuality and probably would've thrown her off the cliff before Red Skull could even lay out the rules.
I mean the Truman show requires an enormous effort to obfuscate and it’d been going on for decades… idk if it should be called “coincidence” that you’d have multiple tells crop up in one day, it’d be just statistics that a day like that would occur on occasion, yeah?
Those things could have been (and likely were) happening all the time throughout his life. They even did a montage of just people breaking into the set (Christmas etc). It's just at the time of the movie, he was actively aware that something was off and finally paying attention. It didn't help he was breaking with his normal routine and character, causing the scramble and errors.
Dude you are one of the best presenters on WC. Can you please PLEASE start doing some of the video game videos?? Jess is fine but having her do 99% of the video game videos is just exhausting….
A friend told me that not only was Marcellus Wallace’s soul was in the briefcase, his bargain also included marrying a grim reaper: Mia. Tony Rocky Horror didn’t give her a foot massage, she only shook his hand at her wedding. After the heroin mishap, Vincent dropped her home, heard her joke, and shook her hand good night.
The three finger give away.... absolute nonsense. its set during a war. Soldiers of all ranks lost their fingers, thumbs etc quite commonly. Therefore, and gesture with one or both hands that added up to three was fairly common. It was simply unspoken because no one wanted to point out a weakness. Also, no european country has a specific way of showing any number via a gesture. so long as the gsture adds up to three, its three. Its another Tarantino invention made up for his view of the story or the world because he doesnt actually know the truth. Another example, Hateful 8 Sam L Jackson's character would have been killed when he was shot. The bullets went up through his legs into his body. Too much damage to live for more than a minute or so, and definintely too much pain to move further, so why did he live? Because Tarantino had a contractual agreement that he lived to the end of the movie. Another, non-contractual choice. Mr Orange is bleeding out in the car at the start of the film. He wouldve been dead long before the point at which he could shoot Mr Blonde, quite simply, Tarantino ran out of reality, time and script ideas to cover it. When he hiding Mr Pink couldve easily shot Blonde and no one would know he did it because he was so well hidden.
Didn’t even teach anybody anything cause nobody knew except a couple guards so basically second coming was just a waste of time seems pretty stupid to me.
What? Most of these are actual plot points in the movie. Thought that was the whole point of silence of the lambs so he could escape wasn't he corresponding with bill thru the mail.
Yeah, it doesn't require a "fan theory" to realize this; it was up front implied in the movie that there was a strong influence by Lector on Buffalo Bill. It is why he was able to steer Clarice towards him.
To Inglourious Basterds: Yeah - the villain knew straight away, and it wasn't the name. If you are German native speaker, his accent was a dead giveaway, at least if you know the signs of foreigners trying to speak proper German to hide an accent. It is not a surprise that the common soldier didn't recognize, as for a common person, it was probably rather unusual to hear foreigners speak German. But I doubt it was the case for the villain. Don't get me wrong, Fassbender spoke good German in this scene, but the way he pronounced, and especially his 'r' were simply wrong and overemphasized. For anyone knowing the English accent, it sounded very obvious that he was overcorrecting parts of the speech that are common for an English accent.
@@Sifu_Chris Ah. I thought he was American. While I think there are differences between German with an American and English accent, they are quite similar.
@@albaneincowboy183 Yes. I heard an interview where he said that, which explains why is German is comparatively good. That said, the German he used in this scene is much better than his normal German, I am pretty sure he worked hard to learn these lines to remove everything but these tell-signs out of his speech. It was a great preformance.
"Michael CriTCHton"? Seriously? Sometimes I wonder if the voiceovers are AI-generated. And while I like these videos, it annoys me that they can't distinguish a film crossover from an easter egg.
Maybe the Dodson theory works for the book, but with the movie, it just sounds like a totally made up backstory about a character that didn't really exist. Kinda lame.
@whoculture I made my own theorie about doctor who which makes too much sense. The tardis and the doctor are the same persom and the timeless child is the tardis preventing an epic multiversal event by becoming a time lord. We know tardises kann transform into human form (doctors wife) and they regenerate. They have a soul and his tardis is very drawn to the doctor and helps him in every way. I think its the best solution they can come up with the timeless child as it is totally full circle and emotional and so timy wimy not possible full of parodxes that it makes too much sense. Havent found this theorie online yet so hope someone agrees with me. Oh and the name of the doctor is jesus christ and when this get revealed earth and all planets tgey influenced will go bonkers so he has to keep it a secret. Jesus regenerated with a light and when he was with his Apostle they did notice its him but he looked different (so written in the bible) jf taht doesnt sound like a timelord.... Would also explain why he is so obsessed with earth because he change the course too much and regrets it (in my reading of the charackter he is not a fan of religion at all) but its a fixed point in time he can never change.
@WhatCulture You asked, I shall answer... YES, IT IS UP! That is beyond any doubt my favourite Pixar Movie... I will be honest, I found most of it dull - it was more for my kids and they loved it... But The Emotional Scenes of Ellie and The Main Character (Shit! I forgot his name!)... OH DEAR GOD THAT GUT PUNCH! And that ENDING... When he finds her final message... OH DEAR GOD, YEAH! I am even starting to cry thinking about it! I AM 50 YEARS OLD FOR GODS SAKE.. I SHOULD NOT BE CRYING ABOUT A KIDS MOVIE!!!! And the Green Mile one... I think that analogy is very accurate... Even John Coffey being a Person of Colour.... YEAH SORRY ALL YOU BIBLE BASHERS OUT THERE BUT IF JESUS DID HAVE HIS SECOND COMING, HE WOULD NOT BE ENTERING THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT A BODY CAVITY SEARCH... GET OVER IT! He was Born IN THE MIDDLE EAST.. HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN WHITE!!!

The theory is that he was never loved enough to have ever been given a name, so made up his name on the spot. I love it, as it just adds that extra layer to the onion/ogre!
The Toy Story and Up ones are so funny to me bc they essentially boil down to “this fictional movie is fictional.”
Sometimes I think what culture doesn't have full lists and just makes up the last ones out of no where. "They weren't real because its a movie" good lord
Johnny Sins really does have every job out there. Now he’s added What Culture host to the list.
@@Phoenix2312 I believe it’s in the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies and Avengers Endgame
@@CyborgCharlotte Cheers, I have only watched them once (Which is unusual as I love the Marvel Movies... ) so I may have missed it! :)
Damn
I'll go further... Dune is the future of the Terminator and the Matrix.
I thought the Green Mile one was obviously. I didn't even think of it as a theory.
Except the blood test scene disproves that theory. If MacReady was the first one infected, the blood test would have exposed him immediately.
That’s sweet
The Soul Stone theory was clearly created by someone who watched the movie from the toilet while stoned.
Thanos was legitimately surprised to discover the need for a sacrifice.
He in no way planned it, he pitted them against each other to prevent them from rebelling against him.
John Coffey being the second coming of Christ is a reddit theory? Isn't that the entire point of the movie? A man with the ability to heal and resurrect, killed for the sins of others? Kinda on the nose.
Fairly certain like other commenters Stephen King was pretty clear when he said that was the whole point.
Did the writer actually watch Se7en?! It's in the story so cannot be a fan theory, Doe explains this point, come on!

Give over.
That's not a fan theory in Seven. That's just the movie. Jon Doe admits all of that in his villainous monologue.
Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!"
I'm uncertain Palpatine ever knew Anakin wanted to overthrow him.
I like the fan theory the Borg were originally created by Lobot (Lando's assistant) in Star Wars.
There's another theory that the Borg originated from V'Ger from the first Star Trek movie.

WTF? Lol nah just people making up dumb shit lol
Lol he pronounced Michael Crichton's name Critch-ton instead of Cry-ton...

Love the Green Mile theory!
So the Toy Story theory is basically what happened in the Lego movie? Lol
Well at least the Toy Story theory wasn't an umpteenth rehash of the "The toys watched Andy go through puberty" one.
Truman theory sounds possible.
I thought Green Mile was hinting that.
Ever since some moron suggested that Michael Myers' intended victim in Halloween was Annie and not Laurie Strode, my regard for fan theories is nearly non-existent. Unless the creator/director/writer of a film or other form of media verifies a theory, then it didn't happen.

Since he has a bunch of books/movies it may be good to know Michael Crichton's name is pronounced "Cry-ton" and not "Critch-ton"
Ted Levine was fantastic as Buffalo Bill.
Maybe Ellie is her great aunt and she watched the wedding video ones.
The Up theory is pretty weak …. Riley could have just attended that wedding as a distant family member which would have accounted for the memory

I'm pretty sure Michael Crichton's name is pronounced "Cry-Ton"

What is this list? It's just pure BS.
Theory. Bs used to be grass. 😂
No Darth Jar Jar?
Um, I thought Hannibal creating Buffalo Bill was pretty explicit...
Wasn't the guy, whose head Starling finds in a jar, Lecters patient and also a love interest of Buffalo Bill?
@@ill-eagle0155 I don't know if "love interest" is the right term, but they were involved.
@@ericthompson3982 Just refering to the video, that Buffalo Bill wasn't Lecters patient, but the other dude. Might be wrong though, it's been a while.
Yeah, it doesn't require a "fan theory" to realize this; it was up front implied in the movie that there was a strong influence by Lector on Buffalo Bill. It is why he was able to steer Clarice towards him.
@@lightbearer313 It's even more explicit in the book, but yeah.
Do you mean English as Fassbender is from Britain and he is also portraying a British solider hence- "Dont mind if I speak the king's"
@@Sifu_Chris Ah. I thought he was American. While I think there are differences between German with an American and English accent, they are quite similar.
If I remember rightly one of Fassbenders parents is German and he would spend summers there.
This guy looks like Voldemort
"Michael CriTCHton"? Seriously? Sometimes I wonder if the voiceovers are AI-generated. And while I like these videos, it annoys me that they can't distinguish a film crossover from an easter egg.
Maybe the Dodson theory works for the book, but with the movie, it just sounds like a totally made up backstory about a character that didn't really exist. Kinda lame.
@whoculture
I made my own theorie about doctor who which makes too much sense.
The inglorious bastards theory is stupid AF 😂
