All its features should’ve been together for 50 prisms just like its base cost. Unless mythic weapons come in various customizable parts that change it a lot just like hero mythic skins, they should ALWAYS be 50 prisms. Charging an extra 10 prisms for the flourish, which is about a 1 second animation, is criminal.

If that is a flourish, not a weapon inspect, then it isn't a 2, it's a symbol representing the new in game shop.
And it only cost us the off tank role, a ton of characters identity, skill expression, teamplay, 90% of coms and interaction with other players. not worth it. None of it was. At this point I’d take long ass ques over the shit format and boring gameplay loop. And that’s before we even start to reach for our wallets.

Weapon flourish locked behind an entire tier is actually crazy. Weapon flourishes should just be a thing in general, a fun little hidden animation for all characters and skins/weapons. Like a cancelable animation where you hold reload button with a already full mag

Guaranteed Rein's was one of the ones they already had and they just slapped it onto this. It's insane that they are pay walling all these things they advertised over a year ago as being part of the base game.

You're right. all the characters have a base rig and animation set, and all the skins are built on top of them. It's modular, and makes making skins easier. Rein likely has the animation baked in for the flourish regardless of the hammer.
Those effects of kills could be really annoying / disrupting for gameplay for all. Even more effects now on the screen and those flames shooting up can hide enemys behind that for a slip second
The hammer changes at 5 and 10 elims by the way. At 5 the inside of the mouth starts to glow a little and at 10 it glows more and you get the particle effects and the eyes glow as well
Honestly I like having other things to purchase with prisms, I don’t play Ashe at all so it’s nice having that other option since I already have all the skins I want
I’ve watched a lot of your challenge runs, and I honestly can’t remember if you’ve ever mentioned this or not, but - if you have the resources available, you should try to catch the Lovander when you’re hunting for cake! If you butcher them (unless I’m mistaken) you get another chance for the cake drop.
It’s interesting that the price ranges from FREE (2 bps worth of currency to buy a bp and its mythic prisms) to like $80. I don’t mind this, if people have the money and are willing to spend it then go ahead, I’ll just get it for free by saving up some of my currency.

I dont really like how when you kill someone their body just disappears. I like the little effect it has, as if youre banishing them to hell or something, but i also like ragdolls, and that kinda ruins them

I really don't know how everyone thinks that. It is 80 prisms, just like any mythic skin. (I don't think it should cost 80 prisms, to be clear) So you can get it with the battlepass for 10$. Or even spend no money at all, play two seasons and get it literally for free in the third season. I currently have 160 prisms because I didn't get the last two mythic skins, but finished the battle pass.

For the “free” approach, you have to play the game full time for at least 2 seasons in order to get enough coins for the battle pass, then play through that third season to get all of the prisms. Half a year grinding the game for a single axe.
It costs as much as a normal skin (for those it can be hella expensive) for me it’s around 70+ dollars just to get this. Definitely not worth it, maybe 20 bucks for the whole thing, they’re just pretty pixels (I do commend everyone who worked on it though)
That's why if I'm never sure I just spend that money on Indie games if I don't got the in game currency. I've found some amazing games to spend time on when OW2 isn't fun that day which happens a lot more than ever now & the Mythic is cool but I quit Tank in Season 5 & stuck to Support since then.
Blizzard really tripping with their monetization. The weapon skin at best should be worth 20 mythic prisms. Charging the same amount as a whole mythic skin that comes with way more customization, sound effects etc is downright insulting to the player fanbase

I refuse to spend 10 prisms on a “flourish” that twirls his hammer. I’m with flats in that tier 1&2 should be combined and the flourish should be in the base game. Maybe 10 more prisms for the elim effect, for a total of 60 to unlock everything. Ain’t no way it’s going to be worth 80 prisms on characters whose weapons aren’t even that noticeable. I hate the Ashe skin, but would rather have that over tracers pistols looking shinier. Blizzard is so predatory and money hungry it’s pitiful.

There's an animation for the weapon inspection, so the florish ISNT the inspection, BUT it's still something locked behind a paywall🙄

How does a game mode that contains mode exclusive maps, scripted events, voice acting, cinematic cutscenes, and many enemy types less expensive than a cosmetic that does nothing but make flashy effect?
I really don't know how everyone thinks that. It is 80 prisms, just like any mythic skin. (I don't think it should cost 80 prisms, to be clear) So you can get it with the battlepass for 10$. Or even spend no money at all, play two seasons and get it literally for free in the third season. I currently have 160 prisms because I didn't get the last two mythic skins, but finished the battle pass.

Hey bro, fully unlocked skin is 80 dollars. Base skin is 40, then you have to pay MORE just for the weapon inspect. 50 dollars to have a weapon with an inspect animation. You think that's not something worth calling out blizzard for?

For the “free” approach, you have to play the game full time for at least 2 seasons in order to get enough coins for the battle pass, then play through that third season to get all of the prisms. Half a year grinding the game for a single axe.
This is literally just a reactive skin from Apex Legends. You can do the "flourish" for free in that game, they call it weapon inspect.

I disagree flats, it's a very unique feature that should be rewarded to those that sacrifice a little coun to obtain.
It costs as much as a normal skin (for those it can be hella expensive) for me it’s around 70+ dollars just to get this. Definitely not worth it, maybe 20 bucks for the whole thing, they’re just pretty pixels (I do commend everyone who worked on it though)

I've found some amazing games to spend time on when OW2 isn't fun that day which happens a lot more than ever now & the Mythic is cool but I quit Tank in Season 5 & stuck to Support since then.
Blizzard really tripping with their monetization. The weapon skin at best should be worth 20 mythic prisms. Charging the same amount as a whole mythic skin that comes with way more customization, sound effects etc is downright insulting to the player fanbase

There’s really no reason for any of that to be behind a Pal except money. Blizzard keeps pushing it to see what all they can charge for and these are just little tests to see how much money they make off of it.

I’m with flats in that tier 1&2 should be combined and the flourish should be in the base game. Maybe 10 more prisms for the elim effect, for a total of 60 to unlock everything.
Ain’t no way it’s going to be worth 80 prisms on characters whose weapons aren’t even that noticeable. I hate the Ashe skin, but would rather have that over tracers pistols looking shinier.
