- Meera Nandan is an Actor, Social Media Influencer, RJ and Tv presenter. She came into the role of a television presenter with Idea Star Singer in 2007. In 2007, she auditioned as a competitor in Idea Star Singer aired on Asianet Television but was selected as an anchor for the programme. She anchored television programmes on Amrita TV and Jeevan TV as well.She made her acting debut in Malayalam cinema the following year, playing the female lead in Lal Jose's Mulla.

In this conversation of two parts on I AM with Dhanya Varma, Meera Nandan talks about her work as an RJ and her decision to move abroad for work. She talks about the challenges she dealt with and how she had to struggle to make ends meet in the beginning. A lot of NRI`s will resonate with it as they have had to deal with similar situations in life. She talks about her life as a single woman and the pressures to get married. She talks about the life lessons learnt from the ups and downs in her life. She shares that the relationship breaking up was a wakeup call for her to start loving oneself. She talks about her mom and dad who influenced her the most in her life and stood by her side resolutely through the ups and downs of it all.

It seems like there's no correlation in what she's saying. Throughout the interview, you can observe many contradictory statements. Dhanya asks questions, and meera's responses often take a completely different perspective, with a lot of unnecessary rambling. I have to admit, she comes across as insincere, and she appears to be excessively boasting about her achievements in the UAE. She comes across as disingenuous.
I feel some of the so said struggles were fake... No food? Where was your family? They let her starve taking up all her money? She was a star with lots of connections and family backup.. May be some setbacks might have happened, but not this far..
I agree.. i feel she's a talented singer and RJ but not an amazing actress, I think whatever she did she saved for her family, but again don't understand why she didn't get her parents help

What she went through is something most of the people who come to Dubai go through. She being a popular person, it would’ve been much easier for her. Atleast she would’ve got part time jobs to do. I don’t know why she’s talking about her 6 months struggle like she almost died. I know people who are struggling in Dubai. But this is not something big to say she went through a lot. Most pravasis stay alone without mom, she was lucky to have her mom with her in the beginning. She is lucky to bring her dad and stay with parents. I really don’t understand what’s the BIGG struggle. People are going through worse. Sorry to say but I did not find her having a genuine conversation here.
She came here to announce her marriage... that's all... and here on this platform celebs are expected to come with their' painful past....so a story.
Dhanya has built this to be a open heart conversation platform. Because it is her own channel she prodes people too much and ask very personal questions. In that aspect she is intrusive than Veena. But because of the image she has build from happiness project and her calm demeanor, people just allow her to that. Even celebrities think it isn't worth not to have a sob story. Meera seems to lie because she didn't have anything to eat but she fly to kerala on weekends and her parents came to Dubai also. She had relatives and dad's friends and her friends too. What was the problem i don't understand
Her upbringing upbringing involved a high level of parental involvement , which may have affected their ability to become self-sufficient make her too much dependent on her parents even after becoming an adult she had started earning money at very young age, but she had no role in terms of spending her own money. This happens for lot of girls... For those one, it's hard to start over in another country.. Of course she is privileged compare to others...

What I feel is that she is under "pressure from others," including her family and society, due to "expectations." That makes her worried, and she is not willing to bow down her head. It's a matter of her self-respect.
Maybe her visits to Kerala with the money she had were to find comfort with her mother.
Everyone's journey is different. Maybe her hurried way of storytelling didn't helped 'few of us' to get the complete picture of the situation. I sense that, being a girl with no financial management skills, Meera had to face certain challenges in life, and now she understands the value of savings.
Let's hope that the next part of her story reveals more clarity about her experiences and perspective.
