Finally!!! A video of a ZG1000 being revved out properly with aftermarket exhaust!! That is incredibly rare. Thanks man, I enjoyed it. You ride like I do. Im stiill running stock mufflers with the baffles drilled. Saving pennies for the Delkevics
@@vikemosabe It's really not a huge difference. It's just has a little more burble when it's under load at low rpm. I also have filter pods in place of the stock air box. They actually made it louder at high rpm than drilling the baffles. The filter pods DO kill a little bit of low end torque, so keep that in mind if you plan on running them. I've lightened my bike alot by removing the whole front cowl, and the bags and all the brackets that hold them. Since it's lighter and I ride aggressively the small amount of low end torque is no problem at all for me, but it might bother someone that loads their bike pretty heavy, or rides in heavy stop and go traffic alot.
@@Clownsbergen No, I've actually got the tank and body off prepping it for new paint. Should be done in a few weeks. I don't know when I'll be ready to fork out the dough for new exhaust. Might be next year
Thanks for including the short shifts, nice to hear. I've just bought a low mileage 98 that spent a lot of time sitting, after a complete carb rebuild, and syncing, I'll be putting my delkevic on this afternoon! I'll tag you when I upload a vid. Thanks again!
No i did not, and there didn't seem a need for it. It ran great on stock carbs internals. However i did clean the carbs very well before the exhaust upgrade.

Any chance you have a recording of how it sounds with the baffles drilled?
That’s what I’m considering doing.

@@edjackson4389 Cool. Thanks!
I uploaded another more aggressive video of my GTR 1000. Do you have your Delkevics yet?

I'm not familiar with carbs. Did you have to get them tuned?
This sounds naughty
Do you notice more noise reflected toward you from the windscreen? I want a Connie sooooo bad. Yours is very nice.
That sounds tough as. Nice 👍
Just bought me a 1990 Kawasaki Concours 1000, cant wait to get her running😍😍
😊😊😊😊😊😊Nice
Did you ever install a jet kit with those pipes?

My Concours ZG1000 2006 is like a new with only 5000 km
I have one of these a ‘2000 and it’s a great bike but the best part is that intake howl you get at 6k plus 0:38
That thing sounds perfect!
Excellent video.
Any performance gains?
