    This is why I put a lot of training in the feints with precision because when you have precision, you'll hit your target 90% of the time. In that comes with knowing how to throw a punch correctly without any tell signs. Everyone wants to move on to the combination punching, power punching, and learn everything else before perfecting precision training and that's where I think most people fail. However, without footwork(and Michael Jai white who's been a practioner of the arts for decades knows this) you won't be able to set up attacks even if you have precision and footwork and precision is vital before you can do all of the stuff he's showing. If you're too flat footed, you'll be a sitting duck and easier to time. Most of the fighters you see who even get taken to the ground is because they're too flat footed and square. Good video from Master Michael Jai White.

    • @jfkfocus
      @jfkfocus 4 года назад

      What do you mean by tell signs? Do you have an refrence video that could help?

    • @ishe728
      @ishe728 4 года назад +4

      Exactly, I'll add the greatest punchers and kickers all had great footwork because power starts from the ground. You need to have good balance from any angle or position to hit with your maximum power. It's all in the footwork.
      This is my biggest criticism of MMA, most have very sloppy footwork and rely on the wrestling and raw strength to win when they go against a true striker with equal wrestling skills(bc of better footwork) they usually get ko.

    I started taking a kickboxing class June 2019 to reduce my blood pressure and lose weight. I've been successful with both of those goals, but now I want to get stronger. The coaches had just started incorporating weights/strength training into the classes when COVID-19 struck and closed all the gyms in my area. Although, we now have classes on ZOOM, for me it is not the same. I've exercised on my own for years, but never got the results I wanted until I joined a gym. Having that accountability is key.

They're going to be better off defending themselves. Are they gonna win a street fight or even an extended fight? • @brenton2561
      @brenton2561 3 года назад

      Yeah feet at shoulder width is good for quick strikes, whilst a wider stance provides lower centre and more stability in a grapple for example. Practicing really wide stances are handy to move across larger distances whilst remaining in your sweet spot(balanced and poised).
      I've found lower stances good for fighting people taller than me when I want to avoid hands and just target their legs,which is typically my least risky option if he's already punching down at me with his height advantage.
      Wide stance is also good to exaggerate movement for fine tuning your movements whilst training, like feet position to allow proper hip rotation etc it can give you insight that is harder to notice in a narrow stance.
      What works for me may not work for you, but I wish you the best on your journey👍

    I'll keep watching videos, Lord willing.
