I remember watching this live on the Tube at the time. Saw them at Manchester Apollo on this tour, 24th Nov 1985. Still love this album to this day. Tommy was a great guitar player for UFO.
I've been listening to this album a lot recently. Very "80's" but love it. 'Atomik' Tommy M is a monster player with a distinctive style. This is a great clip, thanks for posting.
As midnight draws it's steely shades And the boystown girls go on parade My tattoo she's a kiss away In the creole town it's another day Tears of rage and tears of pain We're two lovers called 'em different ways No redemption no remorse But this love drives a deadly course * I can't wait for you Heaven's gate won't wait I can't wait for you 'Cause heaven's gate won't wait So hold me close, don't let go With one last kiss, we'll never know What should have, could have, might have been We're just chasin' one more dream I can hear the mardi gras From my hotel window it seems to far As daylight creeps through the shades I can see the price we paid * Repeat
I saw this version of UFO live several times and they sounded great, especially Tommy M on the guitar. The guitar tone on this live TV performance is a bit thin and has too much chorus. There are also moments of "trying too hard" which many metal guitarists seem to suffer from. He did some interesting whammy bar stuff and shouldn't be judged on just this clip.
Atomik Tommy M is one of the most underrated guitarist. Love his guitar play!
Awesome, he can shred on the fiddle also. 🎸🎻
Totally!!! Awesome guitarist!
He is from here bay area

Not melodic and not fast.

I've seen UFO 6 times in total. The Misdeamour tour holds some great memories for me, saw them on the Cardiff leg at The Students' Union....
I was at that gig too.
Moggs on fire here
Love the demos of this album
I kind of like this line-up. Brings back good memories. Pretty hot performance. I enjoyed "Misdemeanor".

Tommy lives back in my area again, and I love seeing him live!
Me too. I watched it for Steve Vai in Alcatrazz as they played the video for God Blessed Video. VowWow were awesome on this episode as well :)

Phil Mogg is the man
Phil held this band together through good and bad times for 50 years plus he is the man.
cheers for posting. Remember this from my heyday! Guitar at 2.30 is amazin,
We were sharp...needles in the dark!
They played at The Greyhound Fulham Palace Rd. My Local Rock pub.
The only great lineup of a band who lost key members. Cheers to Tommy M.
Great rip of this VHS clip.
すごいのあったんですねえ!
昔、何かの雑誌でatomic tommyさんの記事は読んだけど動いてるのは見たことなかった!
Tommy Forever
Heaven's Gate & Night Run
The amazing and doss. Atomik Tommy M.
Great songs, very good live band. Shame they didn't use real drums on this album though - but, hey, it was the 80's.
Paul Gray on Bass, I think considering it's recorded in Cardiff
Stephen Byrne The Tube studios were in Newcastle.
@@CrueLoaf nice one mate......I replaced Paul Gray on Bass in his previous session stint as Bassist for Oxford based Air musicians GRAFFITI
Atomik Tommy M, i need tablature for this album.

I was too young to handle 😊😅😅😊
sounds good but was this ufos attempt to sound more like bon jovi bands and similiar bands of that era
+PeaveyPV20 don't ever say Bon Jovi and Ufo in the same breath!!
This was a year before Slippery When Wet
Be nice if presenters on main stream tv didn’t have to take the piss whenever referring to heavy rock.
I forgot how much I used to hate Muriel Gray..........
When I watched this back in the day . Thought it was shit . Never listened to them again until last week . Great band . this line up sucks ...
UFO meets Kajagoogoo...and it's not a pretty sight.
It was their WORST period. UFO meets Kajagoogoo and its not a pretty sight.
Sorry, awful twiddly diddly guitar plus formulaic chorus etc do not a good song make.Stick this back in the vaults where it belongs.
Clearly some people disagree with you. That’s the beauty of music.
Sorry, but guitarzan is seriously out of tune and is a bit of a slopster to boot.
He's not out of tune but the solo contains a few fumbles. But hey, it's live. I love that!
