This album has always been so under rated. When I'd mention UFO back in the day.....everyone would say something about Shenker. He rocks, but this was they're best work. It still sounds good after 35 years. Phil is one of the best vocalists ever.
@ Thanks for the comment. Yes. They had some good tracks on those 2 albums but couldn't listen to anything after Mechanix Have to say UFO is my favorite band of all time. Too bad bands don't make music like this today.
My parents were troopers, when I was a kid, they drove through a blizzard and took me to see Cheap Trick with UFO opening in 1981 .. It was the Wild Willing and Innocent tour, and UFO was great, 40 years later, I still remember the power of this song and Mystery Train -- Tonka played the yellow BC Rich, which I thought was the coolest thing .... RIP Paul Chapman and RIP Pete Way, I'll never forget that show
I’ve seen UFO 5 times in my life and even though I was at the 4 sold out shows at the 1996 reunion classic lineup Tour w/Schenker. 1981was the BEST UFO CONCERT!!! Also I put this Wild Willing and Innocent Album #1 followed by Mechanix,Making Contact,Lights Out.----yeah Donnie Iris and the Romantics opened. remember being 20 years old and buying a used BC Rich Bitch guitar that Paul Tonka Champman had touring love the sound even an after market Flying V...Rest in Peace Pete Way ~Paul Raymond and Paul Chapman..Loved you guys!!!!
@@tommygforce6530 Yeah Romantics didn’t belong wasn’t on on long Donnie Iris was cool! The year before at least had Blackfoot and Off Broadway(still going) both rocked, I still talk to Cliff Johnson vocalist from Off Broadway my ex’s sister dated the drummer.
What a song... what a band! Please UFO, listen up... I hope you play some of these incredible gems in your new tours. Or better yet, please bring Paul Chapman back! Thank your very much
Been following this band since '81. This is their best album by far. Long Gone. Chains Chains, Makin' Moves. Lonely Heart, Couldn't Get it Right and this song just to name a few.......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
So, that would make it the Obsession tour in 1978, which was used to record SITN. I, too, saw the Obsession tour in Houston, August of '78. Great show and one of the last in that Schenker era. You were fortunate to see the last show. Really liked this era with Paul Chapman and Neil Carter, as well.
@Bill Potter, this was the TWTW&TI tour with The Romantics and Donnie Iris and the Cruisers. The NPTR tour had Off Broadway and Blackfoot, and Blackfoot blew UFO off the stage.
CLASSIC OLD SCHOOL BRITISH METAL PERFORMED LIVE WITH POWER ,PASSION AND, INTENSITY. SAW THESE GUYS OPEN FOR OZZY IN BUFFALO BACK IN 82. REMEMBER THE ROWS OF MARSHALL AMPS AND THE SMOKE ON STAGE WHEN THEY PLAYED THIS SONG
@LBjim UFO was underrated that in itself makes no sense! Great talent and great music. Goes to show people fall for flash in the pans! These guys were AWESOME!
SW THEM TWICE BROS. 1 TIME WITH CHEAP TRICK, 1 TIME WITH OZZY, LOVE OZZY +CHEAP TRICK BUT UFO FUKIN DESTROYED THEM LIVE, BEST LIVE BAND EVER. THEY CARRIED THE ROCK AND ROLL TORCH WHEN ONLY NEW WAVE OR METAL COULD SURVIVE. LONG LIVE UFO, UFO FOR FUKIN EVER BROS.
RIP Tonka..... you did so much for UFO next to the blonde guy...
What blonde guy???
The Blonde Bomber, without whom you wouldn't know who UFO is.

Vincent Nalley I would say this is the only album after Schenker that was good. Had some magic.

Love Pete's bass. You can really hear it.
Chicago was and is UFO's strongest US market. They absolutely love UFO and get airplay on the radio, especially WLUP, even today... keep rocking!

Yes… we turned our backs on The Romantics…. Offered the salute…. Donnie Iris was surprisingly excellent !

Saw them in 1979 in Milwaukee. ACDC opened. Awesomeness. Aldo saw them in 2004 in the You Are Here tour.
dudes, old UFO and Scorpions just ruled the day those days. REMEMBER STRANGERS AND TOKYO TAPES
What a song... what a band!
Please UFO, listen up... I hope you play some of these incredible gems in your new tours. Or better yet, please bring Paul Chapman back!

Best album they ever made
Best album ever. My musical tastes are wide and spans 60 years and I often evaluate my favourite albums and this always comes out on top.
Mediocre song and album at best.
It is absolutely at the top of any musical list! Sometimes 1 sometimes 3? Brilliant band! Always one of my favorites!
ACERAMGAD Depends on who is making the list doesn't it?
Yep
Been following this band since '81. This is their best album by far. Long Gone. Chains Chains, Makin' Moves. Lonely Heart, Couldn't Get it Right and this song just to name a few.......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Amen! Chapman was dealt a Shiite house of cards after Schenker and turned it into the three best UFO albums ever!
Saw them on this tour open for Cheap Trick, great concert.
Best band most people never heard of. Saw them on Strangers in the Night tour with Judas Priest. Schenkers last show(of that era) and it was brilliant

@Bill Potter, this was the TWTW&TI tour with The Romantics and Donnie Iris and the Cruisers. The NPTR tour had Off Broadway and Blackfoot, and Blackfoot blew UFO off the stage.
