I actually printed a picture on tissue paper and added a last name on the tissue paper and modge podged it and painted a light coating and then sealed it to the cutting board. Turned out beautiful and can be used as a cutting board still.
Just a thought, with the puzzle picture. They mentioned numbering them, with a pre-school-aged child, you could turn it into a counting/numbers game.

It was mentioned that this project could no longer be used as a cutting board due to the vinyl being put on the front. However, the vinyl design can be mirrored before cutting out, and applied to the back, therefore leaving the front of the cutting board vinyl-free and still useable.

I don't know if you knew about or have shown the pencil and paint brush holder at Dollar Tree but just letting everyone know that 1 will hold 49 cricut pens and the tip will be facing down. Its great and now I have 2 of them.
FYI, those glass cutting boards are actually trivets. You should never cut on glass, because it will ruin you knife's blade edge. Even expensive knife blades will be damaged, but some can be carefully sharpened back to new.
I wonder which would work better, HTV or 651, if you made it to use as a trivet due to heat. I guess if you are only using big enough print, you could place it on the fabric, so on the back.
Also, Pima cotton is a thicker cotton.
I love using the wipes to clean my mat. I also take my scraper tool and very gently scrape over it to help remove any fuzzies. It's a light grip mat I got with my machine, and it's used daily and still super tacky 😊

I use the back and looks fine! Did plenty on the back. Cleaning is easier.
Could you use the vinyl in reverse on the back of the glass cutting board before you add the fabric? And then you could still use the cutting board?

Duck brand clear contact paper at walmart is sooo good. For small things, I love purple scotch tape. I wish scotch would make that in sheets.

Would it help at all to heavily starch fabric before cutting? I have some spray that's called TERIAL MAGIC It's supposed to stiffen, flatten and stabilize the fabric enough to PRINT 🖨 on it! I plan to try it. 😃 ...I know it works wonders when sewing!
And how about lightly taping the thing in place, instead of the extra step of pastry paper after lining it up JUUUUST RIGHT 🤔 ...by the time you get to the tape, you should have it made. ....it sounds good in my mind, but in theory, i don't know 😏 😆
I have only done one complete project ...I thought.
Some of my vinyl is secondhand, with no labels, and ended up being "NOT PERMANENT"! 😪
I'm thinking of putting a border or at least taping off the area and putting a few coats of clear nail polish to hold them down.🤔 ...at least long enough to not make my "new skills" look too bad...😆
