- We are grateful we had the opportunity to meet and film a trim with 87-year old Ms. Lee. She is South Korea’s first ever licensed lady barber, and she loves to cut hair!
Ms. Lee just gave me a trim since I had to save my hair for a haircut with Mr. Lee at Seongu Barbershop. You can watch that video here 👉🏼 • 💈 Ready To Relax With ...
Born in 1936, there have been many losses and tragedies throughout Ms. Lee’s life.
At the age of 19, she began cutting hair and giving shaves. Ms. Lee worked so she could earn money to help provide for her younger siblings. She learned in her dad's barbershop where he kept an eye out for her well-being.
In 1958, Lee Duk-hoon became the first licensed female barber in South Korea.
Her humble barbershop called Sae Eeyongwon - "New Barbershop” ( 성북동 새이용원 ) has been serving the local community for almost 50 years. At 87 years old, Ms. Lee continues taking care of her loyal customers 💈❤️

Her technique is chaotic but I absolutely love it. She knows exactly what she's doing and she seems so precious.
*I admire you for giving such good people a chance to show their art and kindness to the world. 87 years old, goes straight to work and nails the haircut in less than 10 minutes before leaning against you with that smile is just impressive and pure.*

i believe Harry is the one haircut asmr channel that actually uses natural asmr. I’ve seen a lot of spray bottle and clipping videos but a legit haircut is the best asmr

I think because Harry has always been about showcasing haircut technique and barbers in interesting places first and foremost. Obviously he understands what the asmr crowd wants, but the cut and the barber are the stars of the show.
Facts
He started doing these videos as a documentary of barbering so ASMR wasn't the focus. It's pure unlike most of the stuff on RUclips.

The most satisfying part of this video is how Auntie Lee doesn't allow age to hamper her, just like Angel Delgadillo or Bud Adams (may he rest in peace). Their full dedication is admirable.
