Traditional Safe-T barbershop shave by FEMALE BARBER.
Searching out the old master barbers in the historic colonial zone of Melaka, around Jonker Street, I found one female barber left.
Female barber, named Kang, 84 year old, works hard everyday cutting hair and doing shaves at her barbershop with the signboard "Seng Huat."
I asked her how old the barbershop is, but she just replied with "so old so old."
I was greatly honored to sit in her barber chair.
Many people will get barbershop ASMR shave pleasure from this video.

15:38 she asked to give 20MYR tips *Yumcha Money* ( yum cha/yc) direct translation means drink tea or in another way of asking for tips. That elderly man clearly asked for an extra 5MYR hoping you'd give extra while the barber only mentioned 20MYR. I believe the shave only costs 5MYR but took the advantage of asking more.

I believe she's really an old school traditional barber but abit too old to coop up with changes and proper hygiene & sanitation. It's not a norm for a barber to ask for tips here in Malaysia, she's just living in a happy go lucky manner at her age.
The entire 25myr is less than $6, surely Jason can give that out as a tip.

You were right to question that razor.
She’s kinda doing everything backwards. First putting used blades back in the paper then back in the box. Then she uses the brush on the soap then gets it wet. Scary stuff man, be careful. Keep Jason making videos.
Shes definitely senile. There is another video of this lady barber on RUclips from 5 years ago and she was not like this. Someone said she retired in the past month. I enjoyed both the videos jason posted it was great to see an old lady still working, and doing something she did for over 60 years...wish her the best in her retirement.

Great blade work with the plastic double edge safety razor. Looks like she had a very gentle touch. Almost no lather too, still looked very smooth.

I met her many years ago. I think she was about 70 at that time. She did use a safety razor at that time too. She also used a cut throat razor. I got a shave & trim. So did our group translator.

Hey Jason! Im from Malaysia. She said a shave would cost 5 ringgit and then at the end she says its 25 ringgit. If you go to any local barbers in Malaysia, you could get a haircut and a shave for less than 20 ringgit🤣🤣. For 25 ringgit, I would rather want a hairwash too🤣🤣. I would never go there just coz of the rusty blade itself😕

This was genuinely rough to watch, she is not smooth whatsoever, surprised your neck wasn't dog food after the shave.
When I shave and hear the scraping sound it’s time for more soap or gel . Irritation to the max on my chin afterwards. You a brave dude Jason that rusty blade wasn’t even boiled ! Just washed in god knows what water .
I respect that she is still working at the age of 84 but the way she ask for tips is not good this is not normal in Malaysia FYI.after she asked for tip she cut your nose hair and clean your ears hoping that you will pay.Sad to see that from a hardworking women
