have you ever seen a guitar with a black block instead of the metal rings? the black block thing is an active pick-up. they sound different. and are usually better for metal. and they also need batteries.

standard metal guitar, especially from esp=24 frets, for jackson, the RR's are 20-22 frets 90% of the time.
I remember going to their first tour here with Dimmu. Best concert ever.
