not just "anything", if Joe Dart can have a 3-3/8" titanium and nylon ball bearing swivel joint installed in his neck....then, dog, EVERYTHING is possible!
It's just cuz he's not a vulfpeck guy. He's from snarky puppy, which isn't as fashionable as vulfpeck. Also it's hard to deny, that especially Cory Wong is a huge personality and Joe Dart let's his bass speak for itself but has been a vulfpeck fan favorite for years. They're all equally incredible musicians.
Ironically, The Fearless Flyers and Vulfpeck introduced me to Mark Lettieri. I did hear at least two Snarky Puppy songs before The Fearless Flyers came out but didn't recognize anyone in the band (outside of Cory Henry). So, now every time I see a Snarky Puppy video, Mark's the first person I look for. Plus, his solo stuff and his stuff from his Instagram is very cool too.
This is genius... Mounted guitars, a minimal drumset. Shows how you still can make people shake them booties just with limited performance opportunities. Being a drummer i also like small setups, but for me that would still include a cymbal for some highlights. Of course Nate can pull it off that funky son of a gun
Someone needs to help me wipe the stank face off me after Mark's Tippi Toe solo (16:48). That shit was so deep pocket you could fund basic income for a small American state with the spare change floating around down in that.
So I was actually at this concert and y’all wouldn’t believe what this guy missed after the video cut off. ERIC ANDRE CAME OUT ON STAGE. Said he went to Berkeley college of music for bass so he had a right to be at this debut and then they did the encore. I can’t remember if that was immediately after this video stops or if it was a few songs later but yeah
visit Reddit under /r/Vulfpeck/comments/9eyh6j/fearless_flyers_complete_show_audio/ this is probably the best complete bootleg we can get atm (besides, this video bootleg is really awesome too)
Bless you, Daniel Plainview, for posting this!!! I'm SO HAPPY! They are incredible! And debuting in the best city ever. Very happy to see they drew a knowing crowd. Thank you!!!
Thanks for posting this. These guys are killing it, Nate is from another planet, really... Somehow in most cases I like the Vulfpeck versions better, they're groovier, more visceral. But when the technical performance matters, these guys are on another level!
First time I've ever seen musicians with their guitars on stands probably helps their shoulders a lot. Make sure and catch the Fearless Flyers on RUclips Madison Square Garden excellent concert.
Such a great show. I met Woody at the ticket window. They wouldn't let him in! Please post the Mmmmm Bop if you have it! That's about the only song from this show I haven't seen posted anywhere.
Not specifically, but the Concord was recently redone and I was right behind the soundboard with all the controls ... it was all new and looked like a real quality gear. Sound and lights were really well done overall.
i have to get up in five hours to golf but i can stop the funk ...just heard boogie on reagea woman ....people allow me to accept these funky fellows as my new opiod
This makes me believe anything is possible
could you please let the marble machine play something funky?
Dude, no u
Funny how my notifications bring me here with my favorite youtube channel at the time a.k.a yours Martin

WASSUP WINTERGATAN
Mark Lettieri seems to be very under appreciated by the fans. The guy is a monster and one of the best of today

it's really a shame nobody brings up his bassline doubling
@@oldethangoogleacc8484 Exactly. That's the cool.
He's appreciated in the Snarky Puppy crowd. Here, he's just outshined by Joe, Cory and Nate but they are not really far off from each other

The Fender bass is holding onto that stand for dear life.
*big guitar
Joe dancing behind that stationary bass is one of the eeriest, funkiest things ever.
That drummer, Nate, that drummer. I don't usually pay that much attention to drums, but this guy insists on it!

Anything the Vulf crew produces is amazing!
@ 10:30 you have Nate Smith going cray and then @ about 11:02 you hear an audible "What the f***!?" lol
Everyone always talks about Joe Dart and his neck while Cory Wong's out there with his all flesh and no bones right hand
I can't believe they played Under the Sea live! that must have been such a treat to see in person.
Nate Smith and Joe Dart. What a combination. This band is insane. In a positive way of course.
Joe's neck is made of fluid.
Joe's ace of aces solo was so fucking insane compared to the original. This guy never ceases to amaze me.

Best comment I've read in forever
This comment just won the internet. Shut it all down everybody, it's all over.
That shit was so deep in the pocket I found my weed from second grade
That is correct
I have just contorted my being. Thank you for your words
This show was amazing. They were all so just... in the pocket and just full on in the moment. When Jay Kay came out, it was like... "whaaaaaa?!"

Joe Dart leaves me with my jaw on the floor. EVERY TIME.
dude
Is this the first time in history that people were talking and stopped when the bass solo happened?
Dude, EVERY TIME
I hope there is a sound board of this.

'Highly Precise' / 'Olympic Level funk tonight'
Totally.
that intro haha Jack is an incredible hype man
Nate's right arm!!!!! Wooooahhh!!! The pocket is all in that limb!!
I feel that it is clear that Joe Dart lives on a higher plane of existence than us mear mortals
Sounds a bit like RATM - Bulls On A Parade 24:36 - 24:41
The Cory Wong rubber wrist is visible even from this altitude.
Supreme funkiness! Come to Cali! Also, a great testament to what one can do with "just" a three-piece kit.
Sky mall was just freakin unbelievable!!!
I listened to a lot of stuff in 2018, and nothing made me smile and move as much as the FF album did. Amazing stuff.
Bless you, Daniel Plainview, for posting this!!! I'm SO HAPPY! They are incredible! And debuting in the best city ever. Very happy to see they drew a knowing crowd. Thank you!!!
Wow yes! Thank you for putting this video up!!
love all of these guys but that mafk mark lettieri is a baaaaaaaaaad boi
Just found this. Thanks for posting it - fantastic stuff.
Thanks for posting this. These guys are killing it, Nate is from another planet, really... Somehow in most cases I like the Vulfpeck versions better, they're groovier, more visceral. But when the technical performance matters, these guys are on another level!
What an awesome confunktion! Thanks for sharing. Hope they release the board mix sometime.
Even in low quality, I still feel like stealing watching this for free!
I feel more alive after watching this
13:23 still not too fast for Joe Dart to subdivide with his neck lol
11:00 those were some crazy ghost notes on the drums there 😂
8:50 Joe channeling his inner Chris Thile

Such a great show. I met Woody at the ticket window. They wouldn't let him in! Please post the Mmmmm Bop if you have it! That's about the only song from this show I haven't seen posted anywhere.
Seriously!? That's lame!
I wish I had it, but my phone died by then!!!
No worries man. Thanks so much for shooting and posting as much as you did!
Did you find mmmbop yet?
It was posted on the liveforlivemusic website shortly after the show but than deleted shortly after, wish I had saved it, was pretty hot.
kinda went under the radar, but Mark Lettieri killed it on that little solo in Boogie On Reggae Woman, and after during his own solo
15:02 Literally all that can be said and they say it twice.
Is there a sound board quality recording of this show available for purchase anywhere? It's amazeballz.
People can do anything but no one can be more cool than the Fearless Flyers
That cover of Under the Sea actually made me smile. How did you do this.
My favorite part is at 11:00 when Nate's solo ends and you just hear someone yell "What the fuck"
The best thing that could happen to the world after vulfpeck
5:17 Goodbye your phone
How do Joe's glasses stay on?
poor phone @5:14 lol
Snake Lee haha good eyes
I hope the owner found him
Excellent!

Great stuff, thanks.

Im here in 2021 and every time I hear to this guys I wish the virus is gone😭😭😭😭
Minuto 31. Esos triples de Nate Smith en el hi hat son inhumanos. Una pasada.
Stop covering my ears bro I can handle the heat that's cooking these tasty jams!

That one guy clapping at speed runner. True Vulfpeck fan right there
I now am having to have my Stank Face removed by surgery after experiencing this.

Yes. Some real funk..
Thank you!!! Does anyone know who ran the lights for this?
I'm guessing whoever the house guy at Concord Music Hall is? They were spot on!
Not specifically, but the Concord was recently redone and I was right behind the soundboard with all the controls ... it was all new and looked like a real quality gear. Sound and lights were really well done overall.
YES
Just Joe summoning his inner Tim Commerford at 24:40
Nice catch, bulls on parade for sure!
11:00 "The Fuck!!?" lol when you are shocked by how incredible this band is.
