This Review of the Belkin 2-in-1 wireless charger talks about why it was my favorite purchase of the year last year. I don't rave about products too much, but when I find one that I like a lot I feel like I need to tell everybody. This one changed wireless charging for me.
Thank you for watching!

the airpods dying noise u added made me double check my airpods that are currently in my ears while watching
I'm glad it worked
I just bought the 2 in 1 version Belkin MagSafe for the bargain price of £54 pounds or ($68 dollars) for my bargain price iPhone 12 Mini 256 GIG £367 pounds or $466 dollars. Plus best of all my free AirPods😀😀😀
Could you charge your watch in that spot too?
Liam, very informative vid. Do you think this would work for an iPhone 15 PRO MAX? #thanks!! :)
Yep , is working ! I have 15 pro max and I tried the charger in the iStorm shop ! Works perfectly ! I just ordered mine !
In addition to the downsides you mentioned, the proprietary charger is a showstopper for me. If there is one thing I dislike more than cables, it's big, bulky, and ugly power adapters.
This is perhaps the best and most helpful review I’ve ever seen on RUclips. This charging stand is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
exactly - just want one with no BS like this one - appreciate Liam for sharing this :)
1:36 you got me with the sound i almost thought that my airpods where low
This kid is brilliant, excellent points made!!! Smart kid
I got the black one. I wanted the black base because my airpods case is black. I don't mind the magsafe part being white, because I can see it at night putting my phone on it.
Do you have it on a white table?
@@ahmadmtera No, it’s on a grey nightstand.
Does it stop charging the phone when it's done? And does it stop charging when it's hot to prevent overheating and damaging the battery health? I'd like to charge overnight but not constantly charge and cause overheating
You saved from buying the black one. Thanks. Weird choice to not have it all black.
The MagSafe part and watch part both won’t Rotated of the 3 in 1 version don’t know is the 2 in one does?
2 in 1 Belkin version does rotate perfect for my iPhone mini and space below for my airpods.
The 3 in 1 seems to bulky to me and does not rotate.
Nice video. Could you tell me how is the cable end? USB or USB-C?
The cable is a wall plug. It goes straight in to the wall. It will vary depending on your country.
Ha! Totally agree black version should have been black and white should have been white! Good stuff man! Thanks for the review!
is the base heavy enough where you don't need to hold it down as you take your phone off the magsafe charger? because i see that at around 2:14 your left hand has to hold the base down as you take the phone off with your right hand.
The base isn’t extremely heavy. It is heavy enough that you can use the phone on the stand. If you try to pull on the phone directly against the magnet the stand can move with it. You kind of have to grab one end of the phone and “pry” it off the stand for it to work with one hand and not move around. It hasn’t been an issue for me and I can use the stand just fine. But do expect it to move around with usage. It will definitely budge.
@@imliamodonnell thanks for the response and clarification!
This is why the whole magnet thing is dumb. It just looks neat, but is annoying to use. A cheap stand charger works better.
Hey! I bought this too but somehow when I put my airpods in there it doesn’t charge it. It has been like over a night standing there but still not charged. Do I have to like take the airpods away from the case while charging or what else could I do wrong? 🥺😕
I have a question about this charger, is it heavy enough that when I pull the phone away from the charger the charger stays in place and doesn’t life off the table with the phone
Well, I haven't come accross many wireless chargers that are maybe better than this for a new iPhone. I guess that's why Apple has partnered with Belkin. The Otterbox products seem equally interesting though, and also Apple endorsed.
It appears this transition period for Apple adopting USB C into its technology will no doubt yield a greater line of chargers and options. Likely, the Qi2 will also play a role ahead.
Makes me wanna wait to see what's coming before I put $100 bucks into a wireless charger.
Just subscribed ! Awesome video! Not too long , not to short ! Straight to the subject , pros and cons ! Keep doing the awesome job !
Nice short review. Put me over on the Belkin for all the same reasons you cited. Thanks! (And have a sub.)
Liam I bought this and the magnet isn’t strong enough to hold my phone!
What i miss is when the iPhone is charged the white light could go to green.
1:38 that low battery sound got me triggered
Will it charge your Apple Watch as well?
Is it magsafe for for that airpods also?
Noticed that every time in these videos when someone needs to pull their phone off the magnet, they sneakily hold the base down with their other hand. Otherwise, the base will come with your phone as you pull it away. Conclusion, magnets are really stupid!
what about 0:40?
I just bought one. Thank you
Does it support Apple watch charging on the stand? In a similr way to 3 in one version
Does it charge at 15w ?
does it stop charging when its done? thinking more for AirPods if you go a few days without using them and left them on charger on accident?
Yes! I’ve noticed the light turns off on the charger if I leave my AirPods on there for a long period of time (>24h). That indicates the charger is in “standby” mode according to the Belkin documentation. Hope that helps! :)
Does it tilt though
No tilt it is all fixed.
I wonder why it was not in the review and noone asks here: Does it charge with a case on??? Or do I have to remove the case every time I wanna charge my phone. I plan to use this thing for iPhone 14 Pro with the Apple leather case. Thx for answer.
It works with any case that supports MagSafe. All Apple cases support MagSafe.
I have the same thing. 14 pro with leather case and it works great!
Hope that helps
If you’re reading this thread and wondering if it will work with a different case. Check with the manufacturer to make sure the case supports MagSafe.
@@imliamodonnell thx for getting back. Got me the Belkin today. Is a good thing and it charges reasonably quick.
I tried to charge with the case and it keeps falling.
@@milnuevesecenta Not all cases support this. I got the original Apple leather case and with that it holds very strong. My old case was a non-Apple one that didn't support this. And it barely held on. A slight push and it dropped off. So you need to check if the case you wanna use supports MagSafe.
I’m not sure about the age of this product, aesthetics and performance is identical to the Anker offering and is great deal more affordable.
