Wow, your son's skin looks great (and isnt he lovely!) My son suddenly developed cystic acne at 17, having to wear masks at school all day. He's 20 now and it's only just calming. Hes been left with so many scars (he's still very handsome but he has really suffered).
It's so hard to know what the main cause is. I think hormones play a big part. My son's skin still goes through tricky packages and it gets him down so I can relate.
It’s a good question. It’s not something I’ve looked into but my feeling is there will be more effective treatments for scarring than this blue light device. It’s main benefit is in treating live acne.
I have a question but first just let me say," love your channel." It's my new go-to for product reviews. I really appreciate the fact that you review more than just beauty products, but that's the main reason I originally tuned in. It's perfect. My question is, did your son apply the facial cream that came with the device every time he used the device? If yes, then how do we know his results, which are amazing BTW, are the effects of the device and not the product, or the combination of the two used together?
It’s a good question Jenine. Because he’s 18 I have to say he wasn’t consistent about using the serum at all so I was pretty convinced the light did the heavy lifting. It may be that if he’d used the serum as well he’d have got even better results.
Thanks for sharing this! I really like the espada, it's very helpful for me. The battery life is amazing, I take it with me any time I'm travelling. I tried the blemish solution too recently, it's fantastic because it just dries the pimples, not the healthy skin around the pimple.
espada is really amazing, but espada blemish made the whole job a lot easier - I have adult acne and it really effects my confidence, I have tried almost everything, but this combination works! It is super gentle on the skin and a true blessing for me. I love how you showed us before and after and your son was patient enough to help :)
It’s so good to hear this works for you. I have actually been using the Espada on insect bites this week and it has really calmed them and taken the itch out. Great device 👍
Omg I am so full of hope now. I am recently more open for light technology i guess I had some caveman fears :) I invest for ipl to remove my extensive hair and now is time for this blue light to treat my acne.. I am nearly 40 and I had this problems for all my life.. Limitating my life choices. I am ready to start new era 🤍
A blue light setting on an LED mask should help clear skin as well. It may not be quite as fast as this is held directly on the skin and also uses sonic vibration to get the blood flow going, but if you have an LED mask it’s definitely worth using it for spots.
He’s away to university now so to be honest he is not keeping his skincare routine up. When he was using it regularly though we could see the difference.
@@thehonestchannel yes, that is always a challenge with my sons keeping up with good skincare routines. I got them both curology and kept paying and they were not consistent, so that was cancelled. My oldest did say on a recent get together with his friends that they have skincare routines and was surprised. So he said he's going to try now. 😄
@@ixchel231 I suppose using the light and serum is easier than a full skincare routine, but they do have to use it regularly to see a difference and that’s definitely the tricky bit!
He hasn’t noticed any dryness using this device and I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t use it with tretinoin. I have tried it a few times on my face and I use tret daily and there was no sensitivity at all.
Yes, but your son better start wearing sun screen if he wants to maintain his skin. We know the dangers of the sun with today's research and the effect it has on collagen, skin aging, etc, and so in this day and age there is really no excuse for not wearing sunscreen, and if that wasn't enough his mum is into all things anti-aging.
@@thehonestchannel Lol, I hear you, I once asked a male friend of mine if he wore sunscreen and he looked at me liked I asked him if he had killed someone. So, I can imagine an eighteen years old not wearing sunscreen and being embarrassed to tell their friends if they did.
His skin looks so much better, wow. I've heard great things about this gadget and I'm definitely buying it 😊
Hope you get great results from it too!
Great review! This shows how well this product works.
Thanks!

Hi, thank you very much for this video. I’d like to ask you what’s the difference between Espada and Espada 2 Plus? Thanks in advance
Nice review and thanks for this videos! My question is if it also removes acne marks.

@@thehonestchannel thank you so much for your answer, I’ll keep looking for things that can help to remove the marks!

I also got the Espada Blemish solution and it works wonders!
Great to hear!

Great to hear this Claire! Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@thehonestchannel Oh you're very welcome, I'm glad it's helping your boys. My niece also has a really positive experience with it

@@thehonestchannel What an amazing tip - to use espada for that too. Please do keep sharing

Can you use this with Tretinoin
Sorry, hit too fast, does it dry up your son’s skin?

Believe me, I tell my kids about sunscreen! Getting an 18-year-old student to apply it every day is a whole different thing though.
