- Hey everyone!
Because you maybe had noticed that the reach of the front brake lever is quite soft out of the box from your NINEBOT MAX, we want to show you how to adjust it to get a better brake bite. Enjoy and beware! - Хобби
Thanks for this video! I just got a Max and I was trying to figure out whether or not the tiny nut was separate from the larger one; I see that it was. After that adjusting the front brake was a breeze.
Thank you! Couldn't figure out for a good 20 min until I saw your video.
@1:52 “As you can maybe hear…” *sirens blaring* 😂
Didn't even noticed it haha
Nice video but when I followed your instructions the brakes where great but the problem is the brake lever needs enough travel to activate the brake light switch.
my lower screw has a cap on top of it and it doesn't allow me to screw it all the way up or down. Max G30D2 built in late '21. How can I adjust it with a non removable screw that has a cap and can also not be twisted all the way to the upper nut?
Thanks man, this worked awesome! No more soft brakes 😊
I did exactly what was shown in this video and my battery drains MUCH faster now. Noticeably faster. Do you think the electric brake is kicking in?
If this happened after adjusting the mechanical brakes then the pads are probably rubbing. Good chance you need to loosen them up a little. You will also notice it is a little more difficult to get to top speed when the brakes are rubbing.
You shouldn’t put all break force on the front. More wear and more dangerous. Don’t adjust to the max and pull back.. adjust just enough so that you use both front and back (motor) brakes
Hi that is exactly my front break looks like. I want to install a monorim suspension on the front but I'm having difficulty removing the break cable because I can't unscrew that big screw at the bottom. Please help. What should I do? Thank you
For other people who sees this : You need two tools. the 14 should hold the upper screw and the 8 should unscrew the bottom screw.
Thank you! I installed a suspension showing on my ninebot max. Corley figure how to change the brake cable to the new fork. I went to 4 different bike shops and those a-holes workshops even look at it, just because it was a scooter! Ileft them all bad reviews on yelp for not trying! Thanks to you, I did it myself, and it works great!!
That's more or less normal ^^ When a bike come to our workshop, we don't treat it neither. We are not equipped, trained neither we have time to do it. You don't go to Mercedes when your mower has a failure, right? :)
Ehhhh...
I mean....
>scooter
>bike shop
....here's your problem.
There are shops that are specifically equipped to deal with different kind of electric scooters and ebikes, eboards, etc
@@DTOSX666 yea .. ok .. they have them for sale in their floor, and they can't fix a wheel and a brake line THAT IS EXACTLY LIKE THE WHEEL ON A BIKE???? Talking like you know when you don't know! Bye!!
@@golf4fame They are not licensed to work on those, you twonk. That's why they denied you lol
@@golf4fame lol
is the rear fender a little bit twisted to right or mine is damaged? 🧐
Would you do a demo on inflating the tires?
Is it possible to change the side of breaks lever on right side?
thanks man!
Just subscribed!! Any videos on changing the tire would be sweet . Just tightened the brake , worked perfectly. Nice video!. Oh yea hey dude why would you take it to a shop for them to do a 30 second adjustment of the cable and charge you 50 bucks 😂
This is probably the correct procedure, but the nut will not screw up or down, even with the brake tension off.
thx!
Could you show how to tighten the stem?
We'll try to do that in a future video.
You will damage the thread with pliers doing it this way. Better to try and grip the lower screw with the pliers...
Armin b indeed, but not if you do it gently. The plier doesn’t request a lot of force to hold it
It might be better to do it with two wrenches, I tried your way and did damage the thread...
Armin b sorry for you. De do it 20 times a week without any problem :/
or you could just pull the rubber hose/spring up and use a clamp in the solid area where its intended.
C'est moi où y'a comme un accent bien Frainche de chez nous ??
Hi,
does the shoe of the drum brake make a "scraping noise" when touching ? Because when testing my brand-new Ninebot G30, I've noticed there is a scraping noise while braking just before fully stopped. However, the scraping noise doesn't occur while driving.
Would you say I should tighten or loosen the brake wire as shown in your video ? Or might it be a problem with the brake shoe itself ?
A video (ruclips.net/video/bTjJR8KEsQU/видео.html) found on RUclips which shows the problem I have with the only difference that it happens only when braking for me.
Thank you for your video.
Never really heard that sound. Have you tried to lose a bit the brake?
@@MyMobelity I did but it didn't help, nor tightening it. It was actually possible for me to replace the G30 by a new one in the end. The new one works just fine and without the noise you can hear in the video.
My guess is that it was probably a problem with uneven drum pads which were scraping against the brake drum. Just my 2 cts.
Thank you for your answer nonetheless 🙂
