Thanks for watching! Let me know what YOU think about living in Asheville NC 🌄
Living in Asheville Sucks! High azz rent, Crime, the homeless crisis that the city doesn't want to address. I was born and raised here!! Things are so much worst now with the weird and liberal takeover. I am a 56 year old WOMAN that has seen Asheville go down a dark road. Don't sugar coat anything from your viewers. Asheville is not safe! Bet you aren't from here or NC for that matter. Another thing I had a trans gender try and follow me into the bathroom at a Wal mart making smug and rude comments and I wasn't even saying anything. I don't like it, I won't tolerate it and if anyone has any sense they will stay the HECK out of Asheville!!
I was born at St Joes 1954. It’s no longer what it was. Cops left, crimes are out the wazoo, murders, rape, robbery, so bad.
I live in the area. This “bubble” is only in the heart of Asheville. Move 10-20 minutes out and it’s completely different than this video talks about
I wouldn't give the crap off my Sphincter for Asheville. It is one of the most despicable, disgusting, degraded places I've ever been to in my life.
😂😂
Asheville has gone very downhill.
I used to love it but now it’s one giant Walmart parking lot. She ain’t lying about the crime and drug problem either lol
Walmart parking lot!?! Haha. Well, I don’t know about that! 😂
ty for that, G-d speed
Wanna know why? Americans can’t keep their mouths shut and brag about how great a town is, whether it’s by the beach, mountains or in a remote area. Then, everyone wants to move there. People start building, businesses move there, housing prices go up, and the property tax skyrockets. I can’t believe you guys haven’t figured this out.
Asheville N.C is terrible...
I left because asheville wasn't caring about its citizens or street musicians. They have done nothing to help with the sidewalk issues for performers... they seem to only care about hotels and tourists... Not the locals that the tourists come to see.
Also, the house i bought in kansas at 40k would have cost 300k in Buncombe county.
Yes- sidewalks for performers seem to be low on the list.
Yes- Kansas has a different real estate market for sure!!
What do you expect the city to do for street hustlers?
@Asidebar street performers, not hustlers. We're not talking about panhandlers. Expanding the sidewalk in a few key spots would be one thing, making it so that the larger crowds from all the new hotels doesn't create a public safety issue, and folks can still get by. Some of the performers gather pretty big crowds and sidewalk space is limited.
@@SpoonLady Love you spoon lady , caught you in Asheville years ago...and fell in love with Asheville due to all the street performers and artsy-style, sorry to hear that you left! Hope you are happy wherever you are
@@SpoonLadyOr... The city could pay to expand sidewalks so that people can have a communal place to sit and socialize in peace. We need more relaxing social spaces, not more cheap entertainment spaces. Look at cities in Europe, for example.
I lived in Asheville for 25 years. You do NOT have your finger on the pulse of this city at all. And, that is why I moved. Kudos to the people who do love it there. By all means, stay there.
I beg to differ but to each their own! 💖
I appreciate the positivity here, but allot of this is kinda dancing around things. You’re a real estate agent, so I know you’re earning business. I grew up in the mountains and been all around the south and I have never lived somewhere with as much crime, rude people, and high costs of living than Asheville. The more people we get, the worse it becomes. It’s definitely true that the locals are as kind as they can be, but they’re overwhelmed. It’s a wonderful place to live, but we’re full. Our infrastructure can barely handle the amount of people here, and that’s a well-known fact even amongst our state government. I have been harassed, threatened, and nearly robbed several times in the city over the past few years. Not many people knew about the voluntary Niche survey. This is more for people who are reading the comments than a criticism for you. I really enjoy the channel!
Thank you! I appreciate it! 🙂 Where did you grow up?
@@livinginasheville Here!
Liberals are rude. It's just common knowledge
I agree, I've seen this happen to many cities and towns over the years. They like to call it being progressive but that really means more crime, homeless, drug addiction and Asheville will pay the price in the long term with going so blue because people will stop using it as a vacation spot.
@@EddieHenderson92 ot was definitely the last time I'll be going up there. I just needed a small plot to do some gold planning in or around the area. I wouldn't live there.
Also, don't move here if you are a blue collar worker, musician, or artist, because you very likely won't even make a living wage. Lawyers, doctors, dentists, and realtors fit in just fine.
Not all! 😂
Henry. If your not a tar heel then please move away
I have lived in Asheville 68 years/ I regret staying in this area.
I am sure you’ve seen so many changes here!
The only thing that I would say about Asheville, while it is a friendly city, it's not a very kid-friendly city. It's good for entrepreneurs, especially alternative lifestyle entrepreneurs. It's a great city for adults to hang out and meet other adults. There's kind of an overall anti-kid vibe, tho.
Really? I have two kids under 10 years old and have found so many cool things to do with them. My kids are really into nature though and and could stack rocks for hours and hours but we also have the nature center and a lot of the breweries are really kid friendly and you’ll see them running around with dogs, chasing frisbees, and Hanging out in the sunshine with her parents get to talk to actual other adults.
Agreed! Had some family friends move here with their son & they just felt so isolated, they moved to a much more family friendly city.
@@livinginasheville when compared to a town like Greenville, I'd say we score pretty low on cool and free infrastructure for kids. I've been here 20 years and don't really feel like city council or the county commission do much of anything for locals and pretty much entirely pander to tourists and real estate investors.
Yes? Like taking them to a pride festival?😅@@livinginasheville
Gays call straight people "breeders". There are a lot of gays in Asheville.
The recent news about the effects of Hurricane Helene brought me here.
Sorry to see the devastation.
Me too, it’s been a wild ride thank you so much.
I don't like the business of real estate. Between that and the medical industry, it's absolutely the biggest racket in the world.
Dang it. Well, we seem to think we do a good job helping people in a process that can be very overwhelming and a big deal.
@@livinginasheville Cha ching! $!
I'm from Portland and lasted only 4 months living in Asheville. Some of these facts are true, but also watch out for scammers and just jerks in general. Merrimon Avenue is a nightmare and had my first car crash EVER on that AWFUL road. There were also homeless people living in my apartment building's basement -- the landlord knew about this, but didn't do much to fix the problem (and didn't mention this before I moved in). I had high hopes and a cool job, but I ended up hating it there and moved out.
So sorry this happened to you. Sounds like a slumlord to me. I have not personally had this experience here, but it sounds like it would not be pleasant.
I’ve lived here 4 years and merrimon is the worst street I’ve ever seen. I swear to god it’s something in the water, everybody’s brain just shuts down on that street. It’s not even inherently poorly designed, everyone just goes braindead on that road for no reason
That being said while the homeless problem is pretty atrocious for such a small city comparing it to Portland is laughable
They just reconfigured it, right?
@@livinginashevilleWhy has homelessness grown in your city Seattle has a new solution. You should look into it.
Stayed here for a couple days last month. The place has a very post- apocalyptic feel to it. Like a city completely devoid of God. Left feeling sad.

I can say without a doubt that Ive see this very same trend that Peter Clemmins is referring to. I’ve been in Asheville in its hey day. It’s unrecognizable to me now. 😢 “Progressive/liberal” doesn’t always mean better. In fact, it usually means the opposite. History definitely repeats itself when a town, city or state says “anything goes”. So sad because I have always loved Asheville so much. The vibe it once had has been replaced with something else. 😔😔
I hear you and thought that when I moved back. I’ve discovered it has changed and there are still very cool but different vibes here now. And I am sure I have changed as well.
@@livinginashevilleMany say the left has gone too far. Any progressive thoughts on that?
When was it's hayday? I moved here 22 years ago and downtown was boarded up and abandoned..
Progressive! Inclusive! Diversity! I’m a native Californian and I just took Asheville off my list.
Sounds good. 👍
Why, though? It's good to be weird! 👩💼💰
@@pitfighter871 great comment!
One thing to bring with you, if you're not retired or independently wealthy: a good-paying job, because they are in short supply in Asheville.
BYOJ! 😅🙌
I notice Asheville is suffering many of the same problems other "liberal/progressive" cities have experienced. I.e. San Fran, Portland. Wonder if there's any correlation?
Compassion?
I wouldn't go to San Francisco or Portland even if everything was paid for.
Oh-Kay!
The major progressive cities are all tanking. Homelessness and crime are on the rise and all of those cities
From my birds eye view I am not seeing the “tanking” aspect but am seeing the growth.
I have to say I get so much social media support from other business owners in the community. If you’re a business owner in AVL the support is amazing!! ❤
i live 20 minutes outside of of the Asheville city limits and that's way too close
I hear ya. It all depends on what you’re into and where you are. 😊
From the comments it seems that the US has turned worse since I left in 2006. Kinda glad I'm in Europe.

Madison co is heaven. My fav.
Asheville, NC is amazing! It's one of my favorite cities. I've visited there a few times.
I totally agree! Of course haha
Sounds like Asheville is what Austin TX used to be. Austin is now a dump.
Oh yeah, what makes it a dump now?
@@livinginasheville Google "Austin Tent City"
Austin ranked No. 1 on the list of best places to live from 2017 to 2019. It dropped out of the top 10 for the first time last year as the city's growth made it more expensive and increasingly prone to violent crime and homelessness.
Will do. Thank you-
Good info- Yikes.
I spent 3 nights there last month. The town itself was nice, however the homelessness was so bad I could not get use to it. I saw people laying on the sidewalks passed out right in the heart of the town. One woman who was passed out had her shirt pulled up to her neck and was exposing herself to everyone walking by. Very disgusting and a lot of people walking down there witnessing it getting upset. One area had a strong odor of sewer as the bums on the streets don't have access to toilets. There seemed to be a bum with a sign at every stop light. It is not a place to bring children. I saw men dressed up as women throughout the city. Not a place I could live. Progressive politics comes with a price. If you do move there find someplace a few miles out of the city and don't take kids downtown. Move to Prescott Arizona instead if you want a nice clean city.
Noted.
That is sadly what happens when liberal Yankees take over a city. Of course, they call it being progressive when crime and homeless increase.
“Liberal” means “gross and dangerous”
Eeeek!
Stay out of downtown Asheville! It’s gotten very dangerous. Not a place you want to visit.
Asheville is a fine place to visit and there are plenty of wonderful communities and nature to be explored. I only cite these topics so to be completely transparent. Not to cause fear.
My family’s home is a mile and a half south of downtown. I’m not a scarred.
Crime seems to Go with progressive cities
Sounds like it's on its way to be Los Angeles
Are there lots of AA people killing one another in Asheville too like in my town?
Crime is out of control in Asheville. DO NOT VISIT this place unless you are a thug with a gun. You'll need it.
Well, that seems a little enthusiastic because I’m not experiencing that same reality living here. I see lots of tourists here, and very rarely do they look like thugs and as far as I know, so far so good. 😅

Hey now! I stumbled upon this channel by accident. This Beth person must have her finger on this mountain town’s pulse. Good job. 😊
This Beth person loves Asheville more than anywhere she's ever been and she's been a lot of places all over the world and lived in quite a few of them. Hey now back at you and thank you very much for comment. VDD! :)
I have heard Asheville being referred to the "blueberry" in the bowl of tomato soup.
I find that very funny and if the same time I have no idea what it means
It's OK to visit, but I wouldn't want to be there very long. I have close relatives living in the area, who for some odd reason enjoy being liberal/"progressive" and think it's "cool"....they have an urge to be different. Eventually, as they grow older and up, their attitudes frequently shift to being more conservative. As that water tank said "Weird" is kinda the mantra for Asheville. I'm an old, moderately conservative WHITE guy and don't need the alleged excitement that comes with being weird. I also don't worship at the DEI/LGBTQ+ altar - Merit is what works. (I live in Southern California) "EAT AT PACK'S"
Ok! Noted!
Good to know. I have no plans of visiting.
Right on.
This was both factually accurate and fun. Well done!
Than you so much! 😊
It’s a beautiful city. I loved living there for several years in the late 90s-early 2000. Unfortunately I was one of so many people who get stuck in one of the many low paid service industry jobs. Nowadays NC does have other very liberal cities like Chapel Hill for example. The rural areas of the state are quite conservative. I wish that Asheville city government would put more effort into attracting higher paying jobs to the area. The city has a lot going for it however if you’re not in a select group of occupations you won’t be able to afford rent or a mortgage. A lot of scenic beauty, nice culture, not quite as hot and humid as the rest of the state.
That’s very true, that’s why I always say bring your own job or don’t need one. It’s always been the case since I moved here in 2001. And it’s become even more unaffordable for people in the tourist industry which just also happens to be our main industry.
@@livinginasheville Yeah, to make ends meet now in Asheville you need roughly $23 per hour (based on 1/3 of your income for rent or mortgage). I've thought about moving back for retirement but have been really concerned about how quality of care has slid downward since Mission Hospital was sold.

There are unsheltered people downtown and as far as I know, this is a National problem not unique to Asheville. I think there is still room to love Asheville, as I am currently experiencing the beauty of it right now, in the faces of the people in the trees surrounding me and the abundant nature that is easily accessible.
Thank you for the warning Tina. I'm watching all the Asheville videos in preparation for a concert that I have a ticket for. I have yet to see one with police officers in cars or on foot patrol. I hope to see them stationed on the streets to maintain order when I arrive. I'm not going to tolerate bums harrassing me: "Excuse me sir, excuse me." Another one is: "My car ran out of gas and my wife and baby are in it a mile away. Can you give me a few dollars for gas?"
I’ll let them know you are arriving as well if you’d like.

it's not progressivism, it's real estate investors that are swallowing the city and county whole and turning the various business areas into a hipster version of the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge I remember from my childhood (80's-90's)
For all the “diversity” talk it’s hilarious how white the place is compared to the average across the state. State average in NC for non-white people is around 40%, and in Asheville it’s 20%. So all the diversity is in sexual orientation or some other metric.

Didn't you guys steal that "weird" thing from Austin ? I've always loved that euphemism "experiencing homelessness"......how quaint :-)
I am sure if weird was influenced by Austin or not. I've never been to Austin but it is defiantly on my list. Yes, homelessness is so demoralizing, destabilizing and depressing- no matter what. My intention is to always use human first language. These are people, fathers, sons, daughters, mothers, sisters and brothers who right now in their lives (and hopefully not for long) are experiencing homelessness. It makes my heart hurt that the entire country has a large homeless population and we are not able to help better. Many of us (humans) have trauma and when mixed with a lack of accessible mental health resources and/or addiction can no longer function in order to keep a roof over our heads. I can not imagine trying to find a same place to sleep every night. I think of it often when it is pouring rain or so cold. I would numb out too. And the reality is, it is happening, right here, as well as all over the USA:
Meant to say:
I am not sure if weird was influenced by Austin or not-
@@livinginasheville well I was talking about the phrase "Keep Austin Weird"...think they started using that one decades ago. :-)
-----In 2000, Red Wassenich called KOOP's The Lounge Show to make a donation. When they asked him why he was donating, the Austin native reportedly replied: "because it keeps Austin weird." It was then that something in his mind "clicked." Afterwards Wassenich told his wife about it, and they decided to make bumper stickers.
It soon became a slogan for Austin's off-kilter elements, and businesses began using it to encourage people to shop local. But it wasn't until 2003, when the presidents of BookPeople and Waterloo Records used it to fight against a big box store opening in their neighborhood, that the phrase really took off. They created their own "Keep Austin Weird" bumper stickers but with an additional tagline: "Support Local Businesses." To date, they've distributed roughly 400,000.
Wow, really cool story. I can’t wait to visit Austin. And it does seem like Halstead and Asheville have a Lotta similar qualities except Asheville is a lot smaller and probably a lot cooler, in temperature- 😂
Yes, She pretty much described Austin back 15 years ago when it was a great city to live in. She perfectly described what ruined Austin. Sounds like Asheville is nearing its peak before its going to start its decline.
Thank you for the info. I ran from liberal CA and not planning to invest into a clone of it. Enjoy your “diversity” 😉
Will do! 😊
Portland 2.0. No thank you. I will be turning down my job offer in Asheville. Where there is crime and needles, liberals are not too far away.
Oh man- best of luck.
I wanted to move to Ashville. I visited back in the early 2000s, it felt good being there. Im still considering it, is it safe to say that the majority of the population is democrat?
If you google, you’ll find a political map online of the Asheville area. But you’re on the right hunch.
i love about a hour from ashville i wanna move here when im old enough to move out!!
Come on over!
I’m really enjoying these videos Beth! Personally I left Asheville because of a lack of diversity. The culture and quality of life available isn’t based in reality and therefor people of color and marginalized communities are not safe or celebrated. After being gone for awhile I can see how it’s white people who have been rejected from conservative families that feel called there out of a sense of entitlement to being accepted for who they are. I am the perfect example of that, and I couldn’t find stability in Asheville because it doesn’t exist in the community. The stability exists in the city planning office. The same office that gerrymanders its population, embezzles the hotel tax and undermines the “progressive” population.
I definitely feel more safe in communities that have jobs available, where ethnic restaurants are owned by immigrants and where crime is in the news and police come when called. The entire south is “conservative” because of gerrymandering but it’s where the heart of the country is and where real progress is being made. I see the grossness related to heroine and homelessness like in Portland as an extension of selfish short sighted colonialism- a manifest destiny/ grass is always greener instinct.
Asheville is a great place geographically and it’s going to keep changing forever.
I agree, it will keep changing forever…. Thank you for your comment. Many great points.
😂 oh my goodness! You definitely belong to ashville, dont doubt it😂
Atlanta or New Orleans might work for you
Been here a month so far. Beautiful architecture. Stuck up zombies. My God . The rudeness. Make a little small talk, and get comply ignored. .. And it's a god-damned cesspool. The homeless are violent and the cops don't do anything. Nada...happy???? Oh no .. these people are miserable... Especially the yoga people for some reason...... ... But it's beautiful
I’m sorry you are having this experience here. I’m glad you see the beauty as well.
@@livinginasheville yeah me too.... I lived in NYC late 70's .... See similarities. Gentrification. ..but these homeless are turbo.....
The opiate problem is universal in North America
It’s so sad, it is true it is everywhere
There is a lot unsaid here about crime. A lot. I've lived here for six years. I suggest you rent a temporary rental for about three weeks. Then decide.
Good idea, and it also really depends on which area of town you’re in because you will have a vastly different experience in different areas.
I really appreciate your perspective on Asheville. Contemplating a move to the area. I love the area, and the motorcycle riding is top notch. I just need to figure out where I belong. Younger retiree, single, like the outdoors, and good food that Asheville has to offer. Help me escape the DC metro area!
Beverly Hills or
north AVL near UNCA area.. 🙂
And Thank you!
Have you found a place yet? I left DC when I retired (12/2022) and moved to TX but unsure if this is where I want to stay as I miss having four seasons.
I'm the same, and can relate to that feeling, Alex. I lived in DC, escaped to try MIami, now in LA. I know my next move needs to be somewhere earthy, artsy, smaller, where people have substance and are growth oriented and still globally minded like the cities I've made home. I also don't want to be single forever, but happy to be a childless cat lady for now. I hope Ashville ends up being it, as several of my friends have said I would like it.
Pitch dark wooded lots it’s very depressing , no lights , too much digging up . I called HUD
I am not sure what we’re referring to, but I hope to keep it PG
IM 1:12 in and clearly I don’t want to raise my son here thank you
Good to know now… 👍
Like everywhere there are pros and cons. Some cons I'd add are unlike certain states there is no Medicaid for able-bodied adults without dependents (except for some "family planning" stuff). And minimum wage is only around $7, though some employers pay a fair living wage for the area which is I think $17 or $20 an hour.
Wow, I had to look that up. I can’t believe that a minimum wage in North Carolina is $7.25. That’s absolutely absurd.
@@theo-avlI heard there were changes!! Will look it up for sure!! Thank you. For low-income folks, I was very happy with Medicaid in Massachusetts and Maryland and found it basically non-existent in Virginia and North Carolina.
@@livinginashevilleYes, shocking. It's some (not all) of the stuff that ties into the homeless issue. Just Economics is an awesome local organization helping advocate for fair living wage, positive bus changes, and other support for folks who aren't super wealthy. Not to mention like many cities, Asheville and surrounding offers so much community support - food pantry and food stamps and career centers and many more.❤
@@theo-avlReading about this. From online: "Until now, full Medicaid coverage in North Carolina was only available for low-income residents who are disabled, elderly, children and those who are pregnant through one year after childbirth. Some very low-income parents could also qualify." But as of Dec 2023, yes, sounds like more qualify. I hope that now includes low-income, ablebodied, non-elderly adults without kids.
Also (open enrollment period is once a year in winter): those who are 100% definitely earning at least $21,000/yr (which I think is a bit too high of income to qualify for Medicaid?) can qualify for ACA/Obamacare health insurance discount on buying certain health insurance. Which is far cheaper than other private health insurance options. MUST earn at least $21,000 in that next year and pay taxes on it, or will owe the govt. thousands of dollars back the next winter.
It is true that people over there do not use deodorant?
Yes, it is not by choice though. It’s a city-wide ban for 2023.
We’d all be lathered up in 2 inches if only we were allowed.
Sounds like H-E double hockey stick of a town. Thanks for the heads up.
Welcome!
Just had to say that I know you probably didn’t mean it the way it came off, but when you said “people with purple hair, people with dread locks, freaks of all kinds” that wasn’t cool fam. People with dreads are not categorized as freaks, it’s a wonderful, protective, and for some a spiritual way to wear your hair for black people. I think you meant white people with dreads, but when you think of dreads pls don’t think of white people.
Totally on point. I thank you for bringing that up. I know people of all colors who still have dreads and yes/ there is a difference, for sure. And I have to remind myself when I say freaks for me it’s a positive thing, but maybe for others it’s not and you are correct, I didn’t mean to say that in reflection of Rastafarians. In the past I used to go to Jamaica once a year to the cliffs on the west end of Negril, and was surrounded by Rastafarian who had dreads so long they would extend far beyond the human that carried them. It’s the reaching upwards toward Jah, the connection? I realize it is different than hippy dreads. Apologies for the mis-speak. I move too fast sometimes. 💓
She comes across as white supremacist. And a little air headed.
Your right lip curl, is that a drug thing?
I think I was just born that way… 😅 Haha!
@@livinginasheville Good! Because it looks like a meth thing
A “little” Austin, Texas - at least what Austin used to be!
We just made a video called moving from Austin to Asheville!
All the reasons you give to not move to Ashville are all the same that FL has only FL has about 5 more reasons more why no one should move to FL . I have been here 39 years and it's time to move out of this state ,it's got so bad , Ashville sounds great compared to FL . Is there anyone in Ashville that want to trade homes ??
I’ll ask around! Haha! 😂
Lady I moved too and lived in Portland for five years
You moved here?
Alright seems like a decent place to visit, but not live.
I’d beg to differ. 🙂
thats why u have the most pandhandlers
I do not have any panhandlers as far as I know..
I would have met how terrible traffic is and how drivers are dangerous and rude.
Really?
Sounds like Ashville would love my boyfriend and my work ethic. We are workaholics not by choice but we're from Florida 😂
Well, it’s kind of laid-back here. But of course there’s all kinds of people because it is a city after all. Some people might call me workaholic, but I just like to say I’m very enthusiastic about making progress!
Move to Asheville in order to avoid grumpy old men, what an idea. I have been watching your videos but had to comment on this one. So many places are hostile and run by old men who control everything. That is one of the first things I look for.
Here here! I think there was a movie about that, right?
@livinginasheville Were probably dating ourselves here Beth.
Haha! I am the best person to date myself.
This town on the outskirts and the nature very cool but inside the city to me at least reminds me of a dump that they don't know what to do with.
People claim it's a "fun" place but it's trashy.. graffiti and trash and no where I would want to take kids.
The state of North Carolina is beautiful. But this town is the last place I would want to live.
I have kids here and I’m not having the same experience. There are certain times of the year where you do see trash places. I agree with you on that. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with that though if it’s the Bears or people just throwing things around. But when I take my kids out and about, I do not feel unsafe.
@@livinginashevillethe Sistine chapel is beautiful. Murals and graffiti on brick walls are not
Sounds like Austin Tx
Aye?
How do you find a rental with out getting scammed
Check out property management companies like Leslie and associates. Renting can be tough due to lots of demand. They can help.
Sorry to hear that it's a leftist enclave.
Yes, so many tears shed in beers about that one.
You literally have no idea what your talking Ive been in Asheville for 19 years. Yes there is crime but if you live in the right place its not dangerous. The mountains are beautiful here.
I totally agree. I feel very safe here. I totally disagree that I have no idea what I’m talking. 😂✨🙌
I am taking a trip to Asheville to interview at the HCA facility there. I am only intown for two nights. Any ideas?
Lazoom tour and spend an evening walking around downtown and popping in places - maybe grove park in for sunset as well if the weather is nice. 😊
Did you take the job? I heard some negative things about mission hospital.
@@BoxingBrain305 I did not. But I totally enjoyed the city and my little time there. They are going through the struggle of adapting to the new culture of their new owner.
I like what you're trying to achieve with your videos but selling real estate for 40 years I have a suggestion. the camera focuses too much on you walking through the property and you cannot see the amenities.
Show more of the property
Thank you Yolanda! I appreciate your feedback. You know the houses move so quickly in North Carolina. It is interesting to see the house but they’re usually gone by the time anyone can actually buy them. We’re more of a lifestyle channel and a tour channel. But I appreciate your comment and I’m so grateful for you for watching. 😊
I appreciate #1. I don’t do well with bigots
I appreciate kindness as well.
What's a good place to look for rentals
Like a website or an area?
God knows everything
Okay!
Very positive. I like your vibe as a person. You got my subscription.
Yay! Thank you so much. I dig people who dig my vibe. High-fives Modale Diamond!
My husband and I are thinking of moving somewhere in the next few years as I finish my degree in social work with a bent toward counseling.
But I have chronic pain, light sensitivity, and a sun allergy. So a lot of places that are best for people like me, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Florida, California, aren’t really options.
We’re going to visit Asheville around spring break and see how my body deals with the barometric pressure and humidity combo, which I think will be even more important for me than the amount/strength of sun exposure.
I’d love Asheville to work because we’re from TN and have family here AND my brother is near Charlotte. We’ll find out! 😁
That sounds like so much to balance and I’m glad you are listening so well to your body. I am wishing you the very best in your Asheville body adjustment experience 🫶
@@livinginasheville Thank you! It is a lot. But I’ve had 18 years of being ill to get used to it; I’ve learned. 😊 I’m just excited to finally go on an adventure of my own, in a place that’s more forgiving for my health. I appreciate the good wishes!
Always…
@AmaraJordanMusic Asheville was always known as an ideal place for T.B. some have moved there and been cured, unless you already suffer from alcoholism.
@@midnight4109 That’s not one of the demons I dance with. 😅
So being weird should be the norm in Asheville. But isn't that an oxymoron. I think Austin had already coined that phrase a while back.
You are totally right. Austin had that before we ever had it.
> "What it's like to work in Asheville!"
You can't, if you want to afford rent.
Just made a video about this! Will be out soon.
these comments remind me of the racist jim crowe era of the south .
There are definitely some spicy comments on here.
Soooooo....."inclusive" to everyone but conservatives! Not very welcoming.
I’m pretty sure if you’re just a kind person. Nobody cares if you’re conservative or not.
@@livinginasheville Betcha everything I've got if I dared to say out loud in public there that men can't be women, drag shows in front of kids and mutilation of children's hormonal system and genitals is child abuse I wouldn't be "kind"
Yeah, or just wacko.
@@livinginasheville Now with the name calling. Sure sign of someone that in her heart knows they are wrong. Don't know if you have a daughter, but are you willing to sacrifice her to the mentality ill/satanicly evil man who demands to come into her bathroom because he merely claims to be a woman?
You will have problems if you're not crazy left, LOL if you said there are only 2 genders and men shouldn't play in female sports. That would be all it takes for them to get triggered.
