I hope you are okay. I have been following you for a while, and with the devastation in your area, I am concerned.

This video is now an amazing time capsule of the beauty of Marshall presenting the "before Helene" version. It is just heartbreaking to see it now but I bet they build back better than ever, although that river is always going to be on their mind.

It's a nice sweet town, until Dave Putman gets a hold of ya....

This did not age well.

It was atmospheric, unique, and now it's all gone. Will it come back?

I visited Hendersonville some years back. Lovely little area. I hope for the best for the people there.

Sad that at the end she called Asheville a “climate refuge” and that is one of the biggest reasons people are moving there. The FEMA map has it as a blue area, declaring it as a climate safe zone. Wow. Hurricane Helene showed us that we really don’t know a thing about climate or weather patterns. The only safe place on the planet is in Jesus Christ.

Hi Beth. Hope you and your loved ones are safe. The devastation is absolutely terrible. We know what you’re all going through. We’re in SW Florida and were thankfully mostly spared this time around. My hometown is Brevard..Transylvania county. I now live in Lexington KY... The thing that blew my mind is that when I moved to Lexington I learned there's a Transylvania University.. I was like.... WHAT???

We’ve been watching your videos for weeks, and were preparing to visit all of the towns around Asheville for a week this month. Thanks for everything, but we just hit a wall in that ambition. Best wishes to all in the area.

Asheville is meh. Lived there for years but it’s just a town, not a real city. I left to be in a real city. This place has ZERO economy outside of the service industry.

I loved Brevard when I was there last month. I heard they got hit really hard. I hope you are okay.

The recent news about the effects of Hurricane Helene brought me here. Sorry to see the devastation.

It's OK to visit, but I wouldn't want to be there very long. I have close relatives living in the area, who for some odd reason enjoy being liberal/"progressive" and think it's "cool"....they have an urge to be different. Eventually, as they grow older and up, their attitudes frequently shift to being more conservative. As that water tank said "Weird" is kinda the mantra for Asheville. I'm an old, moderately conservative WHITE guy and don't need the alleged excitement that comes with being weird. I also don't worship at the DEI/LGBTQ+ altar - Merit is what works. (I live in Southern California) "EAT AT PACK'S"

Asheville, NC is amazing! It's one of my favorite cities. I've visited there a few times.

OK, now it’s between Brevard and Hendersonville. 🤪 Can you compare the two of those?

I have lived in AVL for 27+ years, and Biltmore Park is NOT the best place to live in Asheville. Overpriced, units jammed together like sardines, outragiously expensive shopping and dining and terrible traffic....

I lived in Asheville for 25 years. You do NOT have your finger on the pulse of this city at all. And, that is why I moved. Kudos to the people who do love it there. By all means, stay there.
