I found an HDMI capture card in a local store that looks exactly like the one recommended in my Guermok video but at a lower price and with a different logo. Unfortunately, it turned out to be USB 2.0 (it was sold as 3.0) and it works much worst than card which I use all the time. So I'll have to order it from abroad directly from the auction I mentioned in the video.

That’s a great solution. I have a different approach but the device for it is still on the way to me, but will write about it when the device arrives. It might be a simpler solution for all this, but I have to check first.

I would gladly read about other possibilities. In the past I considered connecting a Raspberry Pi or something similar because, for example, Netflix through the browser has an option for watching together with other people, but DRM streaming in a browser always disappointed me with its quality which is worse than via Apple TV for unknown reasons to me. However, bypassing DRM by turning off acceleration is terribly power-consuming so Fire TV stick It seemed like the best option to me, but if there is a way to improve it further, I would be happy to do an upgrade.

@@Thomas_Voland my idea is mainly similar as yours, but wouldn’t require me to plug anything into the quest. Still would be way better if meta would talk to streaming services to bring their app to the quest, and to talk to Netflix to update their app for 1080p.

@@Thomas_Voland yes, sorry I forgot to write about it. It’s called the AURGA Viewer. You just connect it to any device that have hdmi output (in my case I tested it with an Apple TV) and give it power via usb c. It creates a WiFi network that you can connect and then watch the output image of the device you connected from the devices own app. It’s not perfect out of the factory. I had to put heatsinks on it since the cooling of the device isn’t sold somehow, and using it on the quest there is a bit of a delay. Sometimes it’s almost 0, sometimes it’s like 1 second, but other than that it’s works really great, you can watch anything in 1080p wirelessly. You can also connect the device to your network so you could have internet in the quest while using it if you want that. It’s probably works better with an Apple Vision Pro if the app is available on it, since on my iPhone and my iPad I saw literally no delay. Also you could connect and watch the same device from multiple devices at the same time.
