Soft fondant, PubMed database, NHBDS Bee Survey, SnoKing Beekeepers Meeting, Eli Ocheltree 11/20/24

Instead of a single major topic for presentation at this Wednesday’s meeting, we used a ‘shorts’ format to cover 3 topics quickly;, recording the presentation part, followed by comments and questions that arose from these topics: (1) how to make soft fondant and why would you spend the time doing it? (2) Eli’s favorite free* (*well, your taxes pay for it) research database, and (3) member Gary Heller's results from the National Honey Bee Disease Survey (NHBDS)/APHIS national survey, for which Bri Price, Honey Bee Outreach Coordinator at Washington State University, evaluated hives, collected samples, and sent back results! Recorded presentations were made by master beekeeper Eli Ocheltree folllowed by club discussion at the 3rd Wednesday SnoKing Beekeepers Association monthly meeting, October 23, 2024. SnoKing Beekeepers is a 501c3 member club of WASBA seeking to provide hobbyist and small scale beekeepers with the education, resources, sharing and networking to succeed.
