I had these in High School.. I loved the Toe Cap. Never bought another pair of 10s because they always look funny to me without that Toe cap.. Need to Retro these to OG style.
Yeah sometimes little changes like that throw the shoe up completely. Other times not so much. I forgot to mention the inside tag on the retros. It's got that coogi sweater color look.
The rumor is not correct. The steel 10 with extra leather on the toe box did come to Europe a the time of release back in 1994. I bought them from Footlocker Bologna (Italy) in 1995.
There was a very limited production run of the Steel 10. If they dropped out your way, there weren’t very many of them because MJ didn’t approve of the toe cap. All other Air Jordan 10s thereafter released without it.
I wanted to do a comparison between all 3 but I'm good with the OG as a collector. I agree with you though but differences like these differentiate them from the originals so I'm not too mad about it.
Gotcha. I have yet to hold the X's that released recently. The 5's should be a nice exchange for you then since it's the first time it's being retro'ed again.
@@mjo23dan yea the 2013 steel is a very clean retro I grabbed a pair in great shape with box. But I have the shadow 10 the 2018 pair and there similar in look and features but I noticed it has the red jump an inch the insole and the shoe size is inside the shoe stitched on the side instead of the upper inside ankle part.
I understand inflation of pricing along with supply and demand. Personally, I can't justify paying $170 for this sneaker even after sales tax and shipping it bumps it up to nearly $200. Even if it is a Jordan X and when the Jordan XV retros (if ever) I can't justify paying nearly $200 for its retro.
my thing to u and the folks who's watching is why are u so shocked at the prices. We live in 2013 not the 90s or early 2000s yall. Everything has gone up especially merchandise that is booming, its called supply and demand. It sucks but its time to let it go and the future

I Said This All The Time Without The Toecap Shoe Would've Looked Plain Jane
I wish they came back out with these with the cap on the toe..
I need these with the Toe Cap!
My old kicks!!!!!! My Favorite Jordan of all time.... keep up the good work with the reviews
Awesome vid, I remember picking these up at a local sporting goods store. Slim box and all. These were my favorite J's....until the XI's.
I need these to rerelease in 2024 og style with the toe cap

Alonzo! Glad you tuned in man. You'll probably see a few gems from the collection on here in the future.
Great review as usual mjo.
Love the steels and happy they took the toe cap off
Great video
Good vid my man. Those old boxes didn't give the sneakers much room to fit.
Thank you. I see that now so added an annotation to the video.
I finally got my grails violet 10s and linen 10s this month
Totally up to you. Did my video persuade you? haha
Thank you.

I hear you man but they were definitely unique to have them in the skinny boxes.
cant wait for the powder blue x's

Man they should have kept the blue jumpman and insole on tomorrows release. Still a classic regardless
i had no clue these bad a blue jumpman lmao. i wear my 2013 pair with blue im a little salty now
You do have the comparison with the 2013 steels
I don’t. I briefly owned that retro but never did a video on it. I have the double nickel comparison

170$ price hike starts on the steel X Oct 12tg. First of many 10$ more expensive jordans
