I love all your videos and frankly I just love you! keep the content coming! best to you and beautiful Bambi!
"staring into the abyss for a period of time..." what is profound pondering. Bambi got what she wanted, to be carried. Wholesome cookies. You should do more videos on your forging. I enjoy watching the TV series Forged in Fire.
Hey Nicole, I too have a potcake, no idea they existed until I saw her at the shelter. What an amazing breed they are " velcro" dogs is what I was told, she sticks by my side no matter what, very loving and loyal dogs, I'm sure you enjoy Bambi as much as I do Sky. Love your channel and your energy ❤
They are truly such loyal and loving dogs. It took Bambi a while to gain trust and feel safe, but once she did, she really became a "velcro" dog. Tell your potcake that Bambi and I say "hi"!
It's kinda hard to put it in words, but I really think that you have a huge gift, your energy, your sense of humor, the way how you catch beautiful mother nature and made this amazing video, which is giving me such a soothing and calming energy - guess, what I'm trying to say is:: thank YOU, Nicole, for being YOU - and for sharing your unique being with us ❤ And Bambi is the cutest 🥰and the smartest (😉how she'd made you carry her - too cute). @@NicoleCoenen My dear young lady, you have such energy and talent and creativity! When your doubts start creeping up on you, just recall how your multitude of fans love your work. Nicole, you should not struggle. And doubting yourself is unhealthy. Questioning yourself is healthy, up to a point, but doubting yourself goes against the natural you. We all struggle with self examination; it's how we develop and evolve. You are who you were meant to be. Be that only, and when you begin to doubt, stop thinking, and go with your gut . @@NicoleCoenen Self doubt is like rain. Everyone will experience it. Some let themselves sit and be cold and wet. Some let it motivate them to build and change their situation. I found your channel by accident and can't stop coming to see your smile, Bambi, nature, log splitting, and just remind myself that there are just nice things in this world to take in. Not as large as your native conifers but up to 3000 years old! Your content is always a great source of inspiration to waltz out into nature. 👍 Tasmania, Australia 🇦🇺
I love your humour, energy and positivity Nicole. You are a naturally funny person and your videos always give me a lift. I wish I could escape the 9 to 5 and live a life more amongst nature
Honestly,I'm new on your channel and I LOVE your energy, how you talk, how you carry yourself, what you do, how you are with your dog and with significant other. I really feel blessed to have gotten to know a little of you from what you share. I truly believe people like you make the world a better and more peaceful place. The world needs more people like you.
I absolutely love the content you put out on tic toc but the RUclips videos give off a much more personal vibe and I try to never miss one. I would love to see more of the areas you filmed in. Your photographer’s eye is really on point. Thank you for sharing a little look into your world.
Just what I needed after a long week, especially after wading into a stream to get two decrepit mopeds out. Bambi: if I stay up here long enough, mom will have to carry me. Seeing those berries brings back memories of picking them in my late aunt's backyard in Portland. She would gather them all up and make berry jam from scratch to go along with her homemade rye bread.
Well ,I did it again . Swore I was NOT gonna subscribe to any more channels ! Then I came across one of your shorts , and that was that . I just like any content that takes place in nature . Health problems keep me outa the woods nowadays so I just enjoy watching others doin the stuff I used to do . Love your dog too ! Thanks👍👍
coffee and staring into the abyss. Yeah, very relatable. 😄 You seem to have found the perfect spot for this part of your journey. Simply beautyful landscape. I wish you and Bambi all the best. Keep up your good work and the puns! Best wishes from Germany
Thank you for another lovely video. We live in the sw corner of Mendocino County, Ca, in Redwood and Tanbark Forest with a few madrones (Arbutus to you Canucks). Feels like home to me now.
Please include massive amounts of Bambi in your videos. Chopping wood with a sword is amazing, but Bambi is adorable and amazing. I'm ready to see videos on Bambi's biography, favorite activities, quirks, and so on. (I'm such a sap for dogs.)
You probably get tired of this, but you sure are adorable and cool... Your posts always brighten my day... So Thank you for being you, and for sharing yourself with all of us. 😁😎❤️
I'm wondering how precise you split those large blocks of wood so easy. If I need to hit 2 times or even more with the swing and force you bring up in those videos, I would definitely miss the first one couple of times. You do some good work there 👍🏻 Hope we'll get more of your content like that in the future😊
Gosh, where you live is so beautiful and you're so beautiful. I love your face. And your dog's face! I was going to ask if you were afraid of bears when hiking but then you answered that question. I recently got to see way more bears than I ever wanted to see while hiking with my dog in North Carolina and it is absolutely nerve-wracking to always be on the lookout. It would be lovely to hike in such a beautiful place without worrying about something wanting to eat my dog. Great video, Nicole!
I grew up in a foresty area and we primarily had a woodstove for heat during the winter. My sister and I spent a lot of our childhood and teen years chopping and hauling wood and the specific blend of of nostalgia and gay panic your channel brings me is unparalleled 💜
A lovely day. I'm lucky to be able to say that a lot of my days are similar, though with more walking and less (though still some) splitting. I also couldn't help but ID the bird calls in the background of Bambi's nap - goldfinches :)
Side note, I miss picking fresh, wild berries! Used to do it all the time where I’m from in upstate NY. Out in the middle of nowhere basically 😆🌲 Not the worst thing. Interesting about the lack of bears and predators… kind of sad.
so about that woodsplitting group, how does it work? do you have chopping days when you lot meet up? or a shedule or is it more like theres the wood who ever wants to can just go have a wack at it? i know wierd questions but well it seems like a verry fun initiatif. thank you for sharing, i hope you have a great day
I absolutely miss picking berries like this in Washington State!!!! Down here in Florida they are so pathetically small. Them same berries up north are like 3 to 4 times bigger to their itty bitty counterparts down south.
Wow Nicole, not only can you split wood but you can cook too. That’s really great there’s not too many women out there that can do all you can do. Keep up the good work Young lady

when you split the small pieces around @5:22 the sounds it makes as stuff is splitting and dropping and flying is so cool. if you really listen to just that it makes like a little song! 😏
I deeply appreciate your content. I'm stuck at a desk to pay the bills and is nice to know there are people out there still *doing* things. I haven't watched all your stuff, so maybe you already did this, but I would love to see your thoughts or just general use of a splitting wedge & hand sledge vs. the maul. I've only ever used a wedge & sledge and think the maul just looks like so much more work. 🤷♀️
Ahh...a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. 😁😋 BTW Now that the knife is complete, you might look into blacksmithing yourself a froe from an old car/truck leaf spring, it makes splitting kindling much safer.
I've been enjoying your videos for some time, I love your smile and wholesome attitude. I never noticed it before but you were not wearing gloves when splitting wood. Also, when finishing the knife, no gloves. I have to admit I rarely wore gloves working on potentially hazardous projects... at least till the other day. I was preparing kitchen scraps for the compost pile. I like to cut them into small bits(I figure that the smaller the bit, the faster it will break down into compost). I've been using sharp knives and axes for over 50 years, rarely a problem, I'm careful, what could go wrong. Well what I was cutting slipped and my super sharp knife removed a nice sized piece of my thumb. As I said I really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing you in them, so please be careful, I think I like you better with all ten fingers.
