I was really suspect regarding all of the hype but when I was able to get one and use it I love it. “I love modifying my knives, especially my Spydercos.” Me, too, and I have modified about 50 knives, mostly PM2s and Para 3s, with aftermarket scales clips, backspacers, etc., all still in my collection. Some of them will no doubt be sold, eventually! I don’t particularly like CRK knives. They are unsurpassed in terms of absolute quality, however, I like knives with quick actions, which Reeves knives totally lack. I definitely like the “swish” Bowie!

I've handled this model a few times and always really liked it. However, I never decided to take the plunge because one of my main daily carry knives for years was a large sebenza and I didn't see myself grabbing this over the sebenza when I stepped out of the house. They fill a similar niche and these are user blades. Just having it sit in a collection bag felt like a waste. Considering how rare they are figured it was better for someone else to grab one and hopefully get some use out of it. Ended up getting a different knife for variety's sake.

Most def. But Chris Reeve only made a few designs and improved them a lot. I own over a hundred of Spydercos and even if they improve most of them, the GB2 is still lacking while remaining in their production line. I love it, it's the most Sebenza like of their knives but they need to put a real detent on it, on some of them it's borderline dangerous. I strengthened every GB2 I got and now they're perfect. PS : the GB1 has a GREAT detent, primary grind do vary tho

Totally agree with the Sebenza line of thought. I pulled the trigger on a used one and just got it yesterday. Hated the anodization, but love the knife itself. $450 to me is really the top end of what I would pay for one. If you get the chance, get one, but don't pay too much or I think you'll be disappointed.

@@MT-BamBam When you look at what else is being offered throughout the industry at comparable prices, the CRK products are really quite a good value. @@jusme8060 the plunge grind is the same type of plunge you see on the para 3 and paramilitary 2 .. its basically a cliffs edge, which is great because the abrupt plunge means youre not dependent on a sharpening choil (even though this knife has one) to avoid putting a smile on the edge termination when sharpening - as for being thick behind the edge it cuts about as good as a stock TRM neutron, during the cardboard cut test I did near the end of the video it slid nicely through the material, there are definitely slicier knives out there but this is a fantastic cutter straight outta the box - these are of course just my opinions but you are definitely welcome to your own.. im not trying to sell anyone on a knife they cant buy 99% of the year, just sharing my thoughts and opinions on a piece I really like
