Glad I’m not the only one who loved the Texas chainsaw massacre 2022. Been hovering over the add to cart button to get the sloppy seconds Bluray but I would prefer an offical release. Definitely deserves it.
Yeah I was surprised by it after having heard mostly negative things and having seen one trailer that didn’t sway me. I think it helped that I didn’t care as much for Hooper’s own sequel so I had more to appreciate about the 2022 sequel. It was amusing seeing the poor reaction to the ‘get cancelled’ moment in the trailer but then watching the actual scene it context it really slaps. Some gnarly stuff for sure
Good news! Xanadu is getting a 4K physical release through Kino Lobor! Official release date is still to be confirmed, but it's coming! And also, 100% YES PLEASE for RRR!
There are so many … The Stepford Wives (1975), Mississippi One (1991), 17th Parallel, Nights and Days (1973), Orinoko, New World (1984), Funeral Rites (1970), How I Was Systematically Destroyed by Idiots (1983), H-8 … (1958), The Big Blue (1988) Dir. by Andrew Horn and so on and so on 😢
I need a bluray for bottoms as well, Klaus (2019), Delicious in Dungeon season 1, Owl House series, My old Ass (2024), what about bob?, and Bicentennial Man
I'm a big fan of TCM 2022 as well, prefer it to Hooper's own sequel. Though it's still a far cry from the original. Sarah Yarkin is pretty good also...I'd love a Blu of it!
Who do you think is gonna release these if they are Netflix movies? Regarding Xanadu KL have it but no idea when it will be released, should be before xmas 2025
Anyone, for the love of god anyone should release Netflix films. If criterion got a few releases and Stranger Things and House of Cards had a standard distribution then anyone should be able to release these films and shows on physical. Regarding Xanadu I hope the rumours are true and it’s getting a Kino 4K. That’d be wonderful
have the UK Blu of XANADU - bought cheaply - and as it's a cheap film already (dodgy CGI) - then that's far enough for me - wont be spending any more $ on a title I rarely watch : 4K will NOT do much more than what the Blu provides. Challengers was a flop - unless someone else is going to take the risk of re-releasing - doubt that it will get another go.
Xanadu doesn’t have CGI, you’re confusing that with optical effects and blue screen effects. Challengers on the other hand was not a flop haha it made double almost double its budget and honestly that shouldn’t detract from it getting a good physical release. Bones and All was a flop but still good a decent physical release with special features
@@CollectorCreations ok agree with the CGI - opticals - but it's not going to get any better in 4K (like I wanted until Can't Stop the Music came out on Blu - for 4K there's no way I'm dipping again). Challengers is and will remain barely 'unknown' in AU - i can't recall it even getting a cinema release. Maybe Luca had nothing to add.
I don’t think Xanadu can be amazingly improved but a new 4K scan and a HDR encoding would do the film wonders. Can’t Stop the Music on 4K isn’t much of a difference to the Kino Blu-ray because it’s a SDR release. Challengers was in cinemas for two to three months here in Aus, and I know plenty of people who saw it but given how much of cinema is a bubble I’m not surprised you didn’t notice it.

That’s great to hear, I can’t wait to wait for a sale haha

I'd love to own a bluray copy of The Menu and Saltburn. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 was a really solid film too
I got The Menu from JB when it was $10 as they were getting rid of Disney titles. Saltburn I’m surprised never got a release despite the popularity.
I need a bluray for bottoms as well, Klaus (2019), Delicious in Dungeon season 1, Owl House series, My old Ass (2024), what about bob?, and Bicentennial Man
Some good choices that certainly need physical releases

I agree on all notes
Drop Dead Gorgeous needs a re-release. Great movie but nobody is gonna pay what they're asking for the DVD.
Yes! Drop Dead Gorgeous is a classic and definitely needs to be re-released

Xanadu is atrociously bad. Funny, but awful at the same time. That said, the title song is GENIUS! I don't need anything else than that, really.
The music and dance numbers are great (although the title track dance number is hilarious), it just suffers in basically every other area

(Fictional puppies and kittens for legal reasons)
@CollectorCreations CGI of course, by WETA Digital no less. 😎
