When do you have time to watch all this stuff? I often feel slightly depressed when I look at all the spines on my bookshelves, staring back at me in silent judgment: "You never watched us, did you? You bought us and left us to collect dust. Thanks......."
I’ve accepted the fate of ‘eventually’. Yes I buy a lot of films but I restrict myself to only really watching physical releases and the occasional cinema release. I rarely stream as I prefer to use my time watching stuff I’ve paid for, with the Criterion Channel being the only exception which I usually watch between 1 to 3 films a month. I just watch a lot of films on the regular, two films a day at worst (unless I need to edit videos, work a lot or socialise). So yeah a lot of the time I’m just looking at this library that I have and I feel overwhelmed but that feeling becomes excitement for when I eventually do watch the release. It’s a great feeling watching a release that I got years ago and thinking ‘damn that was great, crazy how it took so long for me to watch it, only 2000 more to go’. The other joy with the films I got in this video is being able to watch or listen to what my friend had worked on which makes the experience much richer for me.
I guess me saying that I worked two weekends to pay this off means nothing 🤷♂️ But as it is I buy a lot of physical media and no one bats an eye. Suddenly I make a clickbaity title emphasising the price of the haul and suddenly everyone goes mad. I’m not in debt mate so don’t worry about the price
Great intro 😂👍
