Three minds shared one thought as the chant reached it's zenith. Jagged tendrils of chromatic energy danced across the Casings of the assembled automata as Ooblek and his brothers picked apart the warp and weft of reality and stiched together into a new form. Ooblek felt the rubrics shift unprompted. How he detested when they did that. He almost felt like they were judging him. "Hold!" He snarled to his comrades. The colour seemed to drain from patches of the world as they struggled to hold the spell's power, painting vibrant blue aand gold a bland grey. Ooblek felt pressure building behind his temple and then, mercifully, heard the hum and roar of the approaching train. "Now!" He spat, teeth clenched. A wave of red energy expanded rapidly out from where they stood and collided with the magnalev, slamming it from the raised rail and careening into the scorched earth. The lead engine Jack-knifed as it's train Bucked, tipping it onto it's side, furrowing the ground as it slid to a scraping, shrieking stop. Things settled for a beat. Then the engine's fuel cells ruptured, ravenous plasma violently erupting in a rapidly expanding ball of incandescent fury, sundering the carriages and scattering the fluorescent green crystals they had been carrying throughout the area. Ooblek watched this unfold with mounting displeasure, a feeling compounded when the dead and dying members of the train crew began to twist and change, cadavers and severed limbs churning reforming as the energies they were exposed to animated them. He saw a headless, limbless torso abruptly sprout spindly legs and fanged Maw, whilst one off the guards, knelt, screaming, body swelling to horrific proportions and patted the ground as if searching for something. They clutched at a pair of legs, severedfrom their parent just above the waist, and jammed the bloodied limbs up to the Stump where his arm had been, where they began to twitch and kick. Ooblek glanced at the two sorcerers either side of him. And tried to project confidence. "Right. Just as planned. Let's...Let's move out and secure the critical resource!". He felt the Rubrics shift once more and turned to glare at them, venom in his voice. "Don't. You. F***ing. Start."
Im sure you've figured it out after 9 months, but you cannot parry a critical hit with two normal hits. You resolve one dice at a time, alternating turns
Great bat rep! A couple notes about warpcoven: The icon of flame ability happens during a sorcerer's activation, all rubrics gain +1 apl when activated within 6" of a Sorcerer (1 per sorcerer per turn) its possible this was used but cut from the video/ not recorded
@@LiveAndLetsDice a fun combo is to activate exalted astartes then use Warp Portal to place your Soul Reaper Cannon in a good spot (making sure they're within 6" of a sorcerer when they activate), then shoot twice, the second shot with the SRC costs +1apl.
Beanie, you should just paint the 'Gray Sorcerer of Destiny' (apt considering you paint him any way you like at this point) gray--but really really good gray with shadows, gradients, highlights and ghostly star lights. Just say his armor is all colors and none and that muted gray is just how it looks to everyone else. I have a team of Necron deathmarks who I pretend is just one real deathmark and because the way deathmarks work (or don't work in 9th ed.) the five models just represent his quantum-possibie locations so only the last one left on the table is real and all the others are just after-images of where he might have been. Besides, who ever heard of a five-man sniper unit hanging out in such close proximity to one another?
21:48 ummm, actually, if you knew your Tolkein, you'd know that Gandalf is all about them Thicc Bois. It says so in the middle earth apocrypha Book iv, appendix v. I can't believe you're a fake fan. Thanks for the brilliant video chaps. I can't wait to see the madness you bring us in 10th!

I think Beanie can't double up parry in fighting at 19:00, only shooting I believe? I need to peruse my rules again!
Only in fighting. Not in shooting.
