US Air Force Security Forces - What Deployment is REALLY LIKE!

- The past 6 months have been amazing! Have met life long friends and made endless memories that I can look back on for the rest of my life! There are definitely stressful times during deployment, as you’re away from loved ones for a long period of time. But if you put your all in it and open yourself to making new relationships with people, it’ll be a great experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life!

Keep documenting all your experiences. I've spent 13 years in security forces and have captured almost none of the awesome experiences i've had and really regret that
Better late then never, i have already finished 3 albums of 3 diffrent deployments
@@zyngod_8631 how long have you been in? if you don’t mind me asking, seems like a few already
Sometimes letting memories be memories is better. I feel like a ruin moments trying to make sure my camera is right.

@@koltaire5938 that’s part of the reason I haven’t documented anything.
I miss those days....thank you for sharing this.
It’s odd that the other services don’t understand the deployment theory and execution of less than a year or two. I was in a vets group in the late 80s and was called a liar so many times I got sick. Back in the 60-70s we had so many 90 day TDYs I couldn’t count them. The army guys didn’t believe we had TDYs to the Philippines and then to VietNam and to the alert pads in Taiwan. U.S.Air Force is still best!!!!
Great Vid capturing your deployment... I miss the deployments even being away from family, friends and home can suck at times.
These videos helping me out a lot preciate you bro
Deployed to HOA in 2019 to Djibouti as TMO. Was a replacement for anotha Airmen 3moa in. Didnt know what to expect but legit had fun there.
havent seen hernandez since tech school lol been a fat minute but glad to see yall made it home safe!
Great Job.....I was an Air Force SP for 11 years (86-97)......Loved all my journeys around the world!
thanks for your service!
Enjoy it brother! Your career will go by so fast and before you know it you'll be an old vet talking about times that others cannot understand!
i sure do miss that place
Deploying to Horn of Africa, just graduated from AIT in the Army and within a week I was told I’m in orders to deploy. Definitely scared and anxious, seeing videos like this gives me hope to push forward and it’s going to be a journey I’ll be grateful for. Thanks for the upload man.
No problem man! I’m glad you liked it and good luck to you brother!
I’m going to meps on the 1st active duty security forces Af amto do a verification test cause I took the asvab in my recruiting office… how much time do they give you between to get deployed?
@@progressorx7183 at least 6months-1year
It's amazing how little the base has changed
I was at that same base I got back last year it was definitely a good time stressful but worth it
what is stressful about it, no wars were going on
Chabelley?
Went in 1986, retired 2007. So much has changed but a lot is still the same.
Thank you for this Video
dope video man looked amazing
Thank you man!
W video bro this making me enlist 🤧
Ahah thanks bro I’m glad I can inspire a lil😎
Just got back from security forces at AB201 May 21 - Nov 21. The people there were wonderful, but the leadership was the worst. They made it a living hell every week. More experienced soldiers saying it was worse than Afghanistan. Regardless of this, I focused on me and worked my self into a cdoc controller as a E-3. It's an experience I'd never want to do ever again, but the people I met who helped me persevere through the awful leadership, who had multiple ig investigations, are good people.
Currently here pleasure working with you during your stay! Should be coming home next month. Heard a lot about your leadership and it was sad to say the least.
Is it a tax free area?
Damn, that’s a really nice looking base
God bless stay safe I hope everyone has a blessed week thank you for your sever ✝️🙏✝️🙏
Pretty sure your squad relieved my squad, crazy how they approved sand tees right after we left…Glad to see Patches & Rabies were still alive🐈🤣🤣🤣🤣
Was at AB101 in June19-Jan20, right before they got the CLUs. Very special time in my life in a very special place. From the looks of the video, I’m glad you had a similar experience. Still talk to the guys I was out there with on the daily.
Hey I was there Jan20-Aug20 as part of the cop's relief team. Fuckin' great deployment experience especially for Air Force Security Force's
That place is lame and boring and shouldn’t be called a deployment
Motivation 100%
Hey man great video! I was wondering what you’re yearly training regimen is on base as sf
Very Good Video, nice to see the deployments from a positive angle
like they say "it is what you make it"
It looks like you all had a nice set up and time there. I miss my days in. Wish I would have gotten more pictures of them. I was Security Force From Feb '99 to June 2011. I did some skate deployments in that time and others that just out right sucked. My more interesting ones were to Iraq.
How was your leadership? I've done most of my time stateside and been stationed overseas once. It looks like you had a good time!
Surprised to see y'all weren't issued the new sigs
Huge W
Did 6 months in Djibouti in 09-10. Africa was beautiful and a great deployment given some of the other locations I had deployed to. To those that say this isn't a real deployment, stop hating.
Thanks for the love Patrick!
It’s not a real deployment especially Djibouti 🤣
@@jdizzle5083 funny thing is you don’t decide what is and isn’t a real deployment.
@@PatrickHaggan funny thing is I have a general consensus of what is and what is not a real deployment
@@jdizzle5083 nobody gives a fuck what you have
One question, during the time that you work as a security force, can they place you in military bases in other countries? Do they choose where you go or you can choose? Would you have to be active or reserve to move from one place to another?
this just made me cry 😭 i miss my deployment so much. i went to PSAB may 11-november 11 2021
I didn't know PSAB was still open. I was Security Forces from Feb '99 to June 2011. My first deployment (TDY at the time really was to PSAB). Never went there again. I did a total of five deployments in my time in though, my most interesting ones were to Iraq back-to-back in '03-'04 and '04-'05.
@@rmandiou1 they reopened it in 2019. the old psab is for the Saudis now
@@fijifromgigi8596 I guess that makes sense seeing I never went back after '99. I was there from Dec '99- 2000. Back then it was just a TDY though. When I was there it was the U.S., British, French, and Saudi Air Forces there. My dad was at PSAB during the Gulf War from 1990-1991. It had changed a lot since then.
I went there october 2019 through July 2020, it was bare af lol.
That place was boring, still had a good time there tho
Was there some Army Infantry guys there, go by Bear Company?
I'm new here so I'm sorry if you've posted content about this before, but... I've been considering the air force and I was wondering what schedule and workload are like on deployment. Any guidance would be helpful!
A lot of the schedules can vary. But you’ll be working 12 hour shifts most of the time
this video made me emotional ughhh haha as my deployment comes to an end in two days :/
It’s like you want it to end until it actually ends lol
i ship out january 11th for security forces can’t wait
I leave January 4th
@@miirrtv that’s when my friend leaves also
Good luck to both of you!
@@miirrtv same
i leave January 18th 💪🏾
I was deployed at 101 as well from nov 21- Jun22
Damn your group replaced mine lol
Hey man, I’m currently 25, have a degree, and work in a good paying job but recently I’ve being really thinking about the Air Force Reserves. I want to break up the monotony which is my job and I’ve been heavily thinking about security forces.
Do it brotha
Try the air national guard. You get more benefits. That’s what I plan to do
Go for it, I went reserve. Best thing you could do. Especially when you can volunteer for deployments.
Talk to those in the reserves if you’re able to. Your reserve recruiter can hopefully put you in touch especially if you say you want to be in security forces.
How was ur phone service on ur deployment? Was it easy to keep contact with family/social media
Yea there was decent wifi on base. So easy to keep in contact👍🏽
Which country in Africa is this?
Is this place kenya 🇰🇪 in Africa
Looks like a rough deployment..
Was this air base 201 or airbase 101?
How hard is security forces, is it good choice for some one joining in 30s
But do you know the chapel story tho
Boring and pointless is what deployments are REALLY like. In the end, you get to turn and run with your tail between your legs while buying fuel from your enemy to get your C-17's off the ground that you voluntarily gave to the enemy as well. Real fun stuff.
Did you know anyone from the Maxwell Team?!?
Yea just about all of them!
000000 when you were doing push ups
OLD Timer here...(1980-1986)..34 Months in Texas SAC...14 months in Turkey USAFE.....24 Months HQ TAC. I do miss it sometimes!! Back then we had NO Females in Security.
Old timer, I was in 1978-1986,22 SPS, 5010/ 343 SPS, good times!!
Thanks for both of your guys’ service!

Good luck I ship feb. 8th !!
@jack 12 lol yep sounds about right to me!😂
Meanwhile we the Real SF , never wear patches that say it. Never wore uniforms and actually went out the wire to the real Niamey…. Thank you for your Security Force… always being extra AF at the Gate.
Yeap, deployment looks easy.
