Very good video! Thank you! If the back says Genuine non Gradable then it is a problem coin, as others pointed out. You did not seem to be aware even of this basic thing. So you must be at the begining of your journey, but you did o very nice presentation with the 2 videos. Once again, thank you from Romania!
Thanks for your help I am very green to this hobby and now have a handful of coins to be graded and I of look towards the cheapest company but listening to others cheapest may not be the to go if I expect best prices for my coin s If I have any wisdom and have time to talk about how a new person should proceed I thank you for all you might
Loved this video! Im gonna watch it a couple more times... ive been arranging my morgans into th 2-300 dollar range for submission, but i have quite a few. Ive been fairly picky. Laying them all out and only picking the most original coins
I’ve had any come back, that I got in mint rolls, as Cleaned. Resubmit and several will be graded differently. Start with and different graders eyes do make a difference.
@@jewnersey7413 I sent an order off back in the summer. It was more like 7-8 weeks then. Id say 9 weeks is a pretty basic turn around. Keep in mind that we send most of ours economy to keep cost down. Im working on a new order Im going to try to ship before thanksgiving sending in Reverse Proof morgan/peace dollars.
Okay, I'm back..now to watch this one. Firstly, WOW 😮 No wonder it took 5 months 😅 Thats a lot of coins to have graded ! And some beautiful Morgan's (why I'm here, Morgan is King, and not only the 1895 😊). Your grading fees had to have been killer on the order. On to the video here, I'm keeping track of several, looking to see what pcgs thought. Here we go !😊
On the 1938-D Buffalo, check that it may be a DD because both of my MS-64 coins are DD, also we can see NOT GRADABLE on the reverse label on all your details coins. O Morgan’s were notorious light strikes on the eagle breast feathers.
awesome video! Dont feel too bad about the grades. Grading is subjective and many of those details coins might straight grade if you sent them in again to NGC or Anacs. I learned the hard way not to send in a coin unless i don't care what the grade comes back as. PCGS is crazy with the details grading the last couple years. KEEP STACKING BRO
If you're new to collecting, I HIGHLY recommend to NOT submit ANYTHING for grading. Study, study, study. Learn the minting process (very important), learn the signs of cleaning and artificial toning. Learn the difference in a weak strike and actual circulation. Learn how to properly clean coins that will not get a details grade. Just my opinion. People make tons of mistakes trying to rush through the process. Take your time and learn as much of the process as possible and you'll likely never be shocked by some of the nutcases at the TPGs. Plus, the community is always willing to help out a newbie. Any questions and professional opinions are only a click away. Take advantage of the available resources and you will know what to expect. Hated to see so many cleaned coins get graded, but live and learn. Always love the grade reveal videos. Subbed. 👍🏻
Thanks for the constructive criticism. But as I said multiple times in the video, these were nearly all customer coins that wanted them submitted. Some of them I know I told them that they would get details grades, but they wanted to submit anyway. There were only a few coins that were from the shop that were submitted, and 4 coins that were my personal ones. Do I have a lot to learn? Absolutely. Was it a waste of money? Not to me personally.
I'll never use PCGS grading services ever again it took me 3 months to get my grades and another 3 weeks to get my coins. Coins I submitted should have been PR70DCAM came back as PR68, no cam. I cracked them out and sent them to NGC and received PF70UCAM. So screw PCGS! I use ANACs now because of their low fees and quick turn around time.
PCGS is way harder on their grades now. At the same time they inflate their price guide. As for the cleaned coins, it's actually hard to find a silver dollar that wasn't cleaned. They probably all were at some point, just some are cleaned with in-proper methods.
There's a difference in a cleaned coin and a restored one. Removing debris, pcv residue won't be considered cleaned. Removal of any metal from the surface is considered cleaned. Acetone is the best method to restore a coin for it won't remove any metal. It can be tough to discern a cleaned one from a non adulterated one. The more you get familiar with the way the residue shows on the coin, the better you'll get. Morgans were originally transported in cotton bags, and via horse and carriage, along very rough, primitive roadways. The graders know this and chatter appearing on the high points, ie cheek area are considered. The cleaned ones, although still have cartwheel effect, can be discerned usually by the cheek area. They will have a darker, almost sunken look to them. Ultimately, Morgans are tough to grade at times, and. I've been kicked in the nuts many times in the past. Thanks for the vid brother 👍🙏🕉️
Sir learn everything you can about luster. That will advance your coin knowledge faster than anything else. Keep your details coins as a reference. Once you understand luster it will be like a light came on in your head.
waste of money but the customer should know better next time. I have rolls of BU Morgans I bought 20 years ago but common dates. I would only send just the ones that look like ms 64s or higher. I am in 11 dollars each from 2005 when I purchased them back. @@silverscrounger
Bro, first I’d like to say, God bless seconds you’ve got a lot to learn PCGS was not strict on you. You just have no idea how to grade my other piece of advice as of a coin is not worth $200 don’t send it in
95% of the coins that were submitted were not my choice. They were customer coins and they insisted on them being sent in... even after some were told they may not straight grade. I do not argue the fact that I still have a lot to learn. I knew that before sending these in. I will always have a lot to learn, no matter how much I do learn... there's always more.

PCGS has some very subjective graders, A lot of your coins did not deserve the gradings they were given. It costs you a lot of money for PGCS submissions and to be honest it appears to be a lottery as far as gradings go. I'm sure if you resubmitted them at a later date a high percentage would come back with different grades. They have you over a barrel. Your gradings are at their decisions with no comebacks at all. This pisses me off big time. It costs a lot of money for the whims of dubious graders
Killing me with the covering of the coin information. Just show it to us from the start. By the time we learn what coin you are looking at you set it down, and by then I am bored… Look at this… blah blah blah… Rating reveal…. I hit the back button…

great job ty for sharing, hits and misses.
Congratulations on your grades and submission coming back. Thanks for sharing enjoyed watching
Best wishes
Ouch sry about the cleaned Morgan’s and scratches that stinks
The excessive delay is why I decided to make submissions to CACGrading. Turn around in less than 3 weeks.
5 months 😮 Thats crazy ! Going to stop here and go watch the first video, be back after.

All Beautiful Coins 🎉🎉 Crazy how differently they Grade them . Thx for sharing 😊
I like that 1927 Standing Liberty. The details are so beautiful on those qrtrs.
For future videos... we can see that it says "Genuine Not Gradable" on the back of the slab before you reveal the grade!
50 coins in didn't know lol
Grading reveal videos are the best! Love the drama on each reveal!

Is nine weeks the average turnaround time for ngc? I personally like their slabs over pcgs so will probably be submitting to them soon

I just got my first coin back that I ever sent in for grading from ANACS.
Wow these Morgan’s are stunning
great video, thanks for sharing.
Shame a 1800s coin gets details for a scratch, I like that ANACS gives a numerical grade for details coins.
PCGS is tough but they tend to sell at higher prices. I really enjoyed this video honing my grading skills! Thanks.
Sorry to be so honest, but get a better on grades going forward. That was a lot of wasted $ for detailed coins!
Great coins.
Nice unboxing
Congrats. Nice box.

Philly coins are plain , San Francisco is sharp, New Orleans are watery and Carson City are everything in-between
Is it even possible to have a 150 year old silver dollar that is white and never has been cleaned ??? Fun video...
👍
That was fun to watch. Thank you. I would throw the cleaned unc's in with your submissions to ANACS. Might get a better grade.
Most of them are customer coins, not sure if they will want to do that

awsome

Sweet. I wont be able to watch it all now but ill be nacl later.
New Orleans Morgans generally come flatly struck so weak breast feathers are not necessarily a sign of wear.
NEW SUB HERE!!! GREAT VIDEO!!! I HAVE SOOOO MANY THAT I SHOULD GRADE BUT IM AFRAID THEY WILL GET LOST IN THE MAIL LOL
Depends on what. You. Paid for. On. Shipping. !!
I just sent 23 morgans, it was $670
Ive been wanting a liberty seated coin for a while. So, how much would you sell the liberty seated half dollar for?
Nice!
Man that was brutal…
How much was it for 50 slabs? Did u get the quarterly special?
Where any previously graded elsewhere?
Not in this submission. They were all raw

@@carlcaruso33 thank you very much! I have heard that acetone won't hurt silver coins so this makes sense. I have also seen "polished" on slabs to.
These are gorgeous Keith. If those SLQs come up for sale, id be a strong buyer!
If you look hard on the reverse of the slab you will see uncirculated details.
I could tell some of those were cleaned before you showed the grade.
crack one or two out resubmit let's see how consistent they are!

Is that the average amount of time they take??
No, I have seen and heard anything from 8 to 12 weeks(3 months)
So the grading wait time is about 5 months?
It was for this batch. Normally it is 3-4 months
@@silverscrounger I see, Thank you for your great content 🤍
How can you tell if a coin is coin?
Why grade common date coins?
Because the customer wanted them graded and paid for the grading of them. That's really about it.
