As soon as I posted the first version of this reaction, we got hit with a copyright claim and the video was blocked. In this new version I’ve changed the pitch to be slightly higher, and you can only hear the audio in the background. But it’s just for the last minute or so of the reaction, at least. And yes, I know it is “audio” and not “sound” - and that the composers name is Kevin Kiner (not Kline, lol) Thank you for watching!
I love that nuance of his whole mission to uncover the mystery. He wasn't able to completely save the Jedi and keep the clones from becoming a tool for destruction. But he also didn't do it for nothing. He landed somewhere in between its just so great.
@@ColinWren119 In Brazilian Portuguese version, they used some voices of the movie too, like Obi Wan, Padmé, Clones and Palpatine. But for Anakin, for some reason the voices are switched, the Anakin EP3(who i think is the best voice and fits Hayden so well) Voice actor didn't did the dub for Clone Wars and now Disney do not call him for nothing. He isn't more the official Voice for Anakin
@@kirkdarling4120 Some of it was directly from John Williams' score for ROTS: The scene where Anakin is alone in The Jedi Temple and Padme is in her apartment across the way, while Master Windu and Friends are planning to arrest Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. This is to convey that all of this is occurring at the same time. I'd say, after Master Williams, Kevin Kiner is next in line for profound Star Wars scores. He needs to compose music for one of the upcoming theatrical releases in 2022-2026.
2 times that got me emotional: 1) Rex trying to fight the order, and when Ahsoka tackles Rex and you hear Revenge of the Sith music playing 2) when Ahsoka at the end was losing the battle against the clones and she shouts for the droids to shut the door and you see the look of fear on her face. The feelz
The score, tension, the pacing is amazing. Dave Filoni knocked it out of the park on this. We all know how it has to end, but we cant look away. Seeing Rex with tears in his eyes having to shoot Ahsoka is just gut wrenching. It's so good, it makes the impact so much greater. I really hope they release it as a solid movie.
I want them to release this in theaters as a double feature with, maybe, the first 2 episodes/chapters of The Mandalorian (Season 2). The Siege of Mandalore carries so much weight to the lore of the series, esp. since We'll be getting Ahsoka in the storyline, and mentions and/or depictions of Sabine, Ursa Wren, Bo Katan, Doctor Aphra, and Iden Versio.
Knowing that those last few seconds of delay with Yoda and Ahsoka was likely the very last chance to avoid this whole thing makes it hurt a little more.
Because of this beautiful score and tension, first part of the episode, before Order 66, strongly reminded me of HBO's Chernobyl... Odd connection, yeah, but in both stories we know, what's about to happen, yet characters on the screen don't and just continue to live their last moments of their ordinary lives
I would pay money for this as one seamlessly cut movie after it's all over. It was pretty funny in retrospect that only two clones went to kill Maul via blaster. That said, the emotion in Maul's eyes... The desperation and fear as he wriggled in his Mandalorian chamber. I was sooo impressed with all of the acting done purely non-verbally. Also, these were Rex's most amazing moments. Takes the prize from the Umbara arc for me. Terrific reactions to these episodes -- thanks for posting them!
Did you notice how when Rex heard order 66 he said "yes lord Sidious" when every other clone you heard before said "yes my lord" or "it will be done my lord." It's because Rex just heard his name not that long before it happened and it was his realization as to what was happening and putting two and two together that it was Sidious/Palpatine behind it. It even went back to Sidious quickly for a second and I think he was a little shocked that Rex knew his name.
I don't think so. I think all the other clones knew he was Lord Sideous. He is not addressed as my lord as Palpatine by anyone. He's usually referred to as the chancellor, or chancellor palpatine
The fact that anikan had just left the meeting and ahsoka just arrived. They were literally seconds away from each other. Imagine if she had told them what maul said.
When rex resisted the chip long enough to give Ashoka what she needed to figure out the control chip i was reminded of one of the early episodes where he was mind tricked by ventress and managed to resist enough to warn anakin of the trap.
Little late on this but just wanted to pointout that alot of the reaction videos for this you can see people almost trying to force tears out as if they think crying will get them more views, but as i was watching you can notice just the small hints when sidious tells rex order 66, hes actually trying to hold back tears and hold it in. I felt the emotion threw you man great content keep it up❤
This final arc is brilliant so far, but I still really want Disney to finish all the yet unfinished episodes and arcs that were originally planned for the Clone Wars (and probably occur before this final arc). I think they once said they had enough stories (or episodes) to fill like 2 more entire seasons. Some character fates are still unclear or we haven’t seen them on screen yet, for example Asajj Ventress (, jedi Tiplee, sister of Tiplar who was shot by clone Tup, …). Also, I would love to see more of the Order 66 era, the jedi purge and march into the jedi temple and so on (in another show perhaps?).
I never thought of this before but after seeing this episode and Rogue One a few times, I feel like what Chirrut and Ahsoka say, "I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me.", is like them basically asking for help from the Force. We could probably spend days if not longer debating whether the Force has any sort of actual will but I'm going to lean towards the Cosmic Force having some form of will. Especially with things we've seen in Rebels like Bendu, the wolves on Lothal, and quite a few other things in Star Wars media. You could likely also argue the opposite just as easily I'm sure. I would like to believe that it does in fact reward or help those that are truly good or righteous, like Ahsoka or Kanan, when they need it the most.
Oh my friend, I feel you. This episode is definitely named Shattered after the way we felt after the Order had been emitted. And I'm pretty sure the series finale is just going to leave ruined. Also, notice how Ahsoka's head hurts more when Sidious screams "Unlimited Power!". She can feel all the dark side power being unleashed, and spreading trough her force connection with Anakin, corrupting and infecting it like a virus. Little does she know, now this connection is lost forever. Another reason to cry while rewatching this episode.
For anyone who questioned if Maul was a full Dark Lord of the Sith, this episode showed that he was. The hallway scene finally showed us just how strong he had become since his return. He might not have had the Darth honorific, but he definitely deserves it.
Just imagine now that Star Wars Rebels hadn’t came out yet before this and we didn’t know Rex had his chip removed and we didn’t know he tuned back to himself and we see him firing at Ahsoka then..... an already very emotional scene would turn in a heartbreaking scene

Great reaction, as usual. I too was in tears. The dropping of Rex’s helmet. The whispered conversations and screams that Ahsoka was hearing. The eyes OPENING wider of Maul. The score that was building that melancholic tension that Vangelis (from Blade Runner) utilized. Definitely shattered at this point. The “I am the Force and the a Force is with me.” was a really good tie-in IMO. Thanks for the commentary. We knew what was going to happen, but phew, my heart is crushed. Just think what it would/will be like to watch this in chronological order (not knowing the what happens in the movies and the sequel animated series) and how much tension you would actually feel for Ahsoka, Rex, Maul and especially Anakin. Thank you.
This episode cements the fact that the standard clone troopers had no choice but to follow order 66. You can see that Rex tries incredibly hard to resist the order but he ultimately can’t because of the inhibitor chip. Which makes it so much more sad then it already is. In all honesty some clones had it worse than the Jedi did during and after order 66 because they couldn’t help it and after it was all said and done some clones (Idk how many) had to live with the guilt and pain of the horror they have committed. I (Sonny) agree, but Kat does not think so. She tried watching most of the previous seasons with me, but they never really grabbed her, so to speak. And that is totally fine, we can’t all agree. Do you know the RUclips personality John Campea? He is a BIG Star Wars fan, but he is not fond of The Clone Wars either. So there are plenty of fans who prefer other SW content over TCW.
