After searching through the web on any information in regards to the K-Tuner in-ECU hardware I was surprised to find there wasn't much out there. So I figured I'd share with you guys any information I've gathered through this installation process. And for anybody else out there with a 2005-2006 Acura RSX thinking about getting the K-Tuner for their car.

Also, another alternative option you do have, that I had forgotten to mention. If you do get your hands on the K-Tuner hardware and do not have anyone to go to, to have it installed. You can also ship out your ECU along with the K-Tuner hardware, to K-Tuner themselves. And have them install it to your ECU for you, while covering the shipping and labour cost. With a turnaround time of I believe 4-5 weeks.

As of yet I don’t know. But this summer if all goes well I do have a dyno/tune video planned. 🤞🏼

Question 🙋♂️ why won’t the v2 work ? Do you have to get the board installed for the v2 to work or it’s not a option at all? So buying the v2 is pointless for the 05 rsx
Unfortunately the V2 devices just weren’t designed to be compatible with our vehicles, so it would be pointless. Probably wouldn’t even read.
Wish it did work though. The V2 device is pretty sweet..
That's all it took to tune the car? It almost like a plug and play process?
I wish it was that easy. Unfortunately during the most difficult part of the installation, I was unable to capture footage of it. Which is the soldering of the surface mount headers to the ECU of the vehicle, in order to install the ktuner chip.
I'd recommend never showing your license plate in any videos dude 👌 Car thrives always have a hook up at DMV,, they run your plate and see where it lives and then it's gone.

My question is, if you gonna be able to reprogram the ecu.. by yourself?
Yeah you can. Although the ktuned chip can only be registered to one computer at a time. But once registered you can plug in to your computer and install the Ktuner supplied off the shelf tune. Or even tune it yourself.
I have an 06 base model I want to eventually swap out the A3 for a K24A2. Dunno if you know but can I use a Type S ECU or it has to be a base model one?
When you swap over to the K24A2, you’re gonna need the matching K24A2 ECU aswell.
I'm running my frank build on the stock type s ECU.
I have a base 06 rsx would the hondata work for me

Where did you go to install it and how much everything thanks!
If your in the Ontario area. I had the installation done at SFG Autohaus over at 19 Laidlaw Blvd. The labour for the install was around $250.
are you running a basemap purchased through ha motorsport?
The Ktuner came with a preloaded OTS tune already pre-installed. I believe there was 1 tune for base RSX and 1 tune for Type S… later on I eventually got it pro tuned on a dyno.
@@Bodmonkevin I purchased a tune with a list of my mods for 39.99 from ha motorsports. What was your opinion on the map you recieved vs stock. Drive ability and power similiar or was it bad enough you rushed into a dyno tune

You can definitely put it on a stock car. Plus, with the mods you already have, when you add the ktuner, you’ll definitely feel a difference.
no problems will come with adding it either ?
Since the installation of the Ktuner chip my cars been operating as normal, no issues. In terms of any issues in the long term, I obviously can’t say.. ideally you may want to get a custom tune done at some point, as opposed to running the OTS tune provided by Ktuner.
