Stay Wild, Stay Free,
Ben. Ashley. Willa. Bodhi.
Nahoa Crew you have my sincere respect. Circumnavigating with 2 little ones. Well done ❤😊
The Mahi looks amazing. An air fryer is the best kitchen appliance that we have purchased in at least 10 years. We love it!!
For any who don’t know, St. Helena is actually where Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled after his defeat at Waterloo in 1815
I recommend start drinking lots of Rum, that’s how the old Europeans sailors survived. And follow it down with beer chasers. You will feel better I no time.
What a great video! On behalf of all of us viewers, I'd like to thank the patrons for allowing them to do this so that we can all enjoy it.
So proud of you guys!
This is absolutely one of my FAVORITE sailing channels!❤
Ditto. Roger that
Nice to see you out sailing again...and catching some of the biggest fish! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
This is unbelievable and impressive with 2 small kids. I wish you have fair winds and following seas.
They will need them, coz going to windward in a cat is effing pointless. For long distance voyaging get a monohull.
So exciting to see two fantastic sailors who know what they’re doing with two littles tagging along. Thanks for sharing
I have been sea sick. How you look after 2 children when you are also sea sick, my heart goes out to you. Well done and bon voyage.
I'll never forget the Magellanic Clouds and the Southern Cross. Night watch in the southern ocean can be incredible for star gazing!
On another note, how was it to pick up your mooring in St Helena? Did you manage on your first attempt?
Our Prayers for all of you.
Looks like smooth-ish sailing! Glad to see the whole family is doing ok. Keep on keeping at it. Looking forward to the completion 🎉
Thank you Ben and Ashley... and Willa and Bodhi! Wonderful to see you on your adventures.
Safe sailing. Speedy recovery for the children
What an adventure! Just love the real-time updates from Patreon!!!
It is so lovely to watch you and your family again. Looks like you are having fun, which is beautiful to see. Safe travels!
You're a long way from home. Talk about living your true authentic life. Amazing.

Been while since been on youtube. Kids are getting big. They cope with the movement on their feet? Sailing zatara took their kids onto boat life too few years ago. Kids take it in their stride. Great to see you all.
Ben & Ashley, we just want to say thank you. Sailing Nahoa was the very first sailing channel my wife and I discovered 4+ years ago, before either of us had the slightest idea of quitting our jobs for life aboard. Happy to see your family still out there on Nahoa living the dream. Thanks in part to you guys, we finally left the dock in Fort Lauderdale 3 months ago and have been learning the lines on our 41’ Morgan Out Island. Thanks for helping us find our way!
Great to see some of the real trials and tribulations involved in a longer passage . Thank you , much more involving than beautiful anchorages and perfect sunsets . Nice though it is to see them haha .
What a great video. I love seaing you guys on the water. You spewl sailor lessons and great info about sailing. I love how Ashley can be so concerned about some things, but never about sailing. Ben is always having to pull the reigns back and slow her down because she loves sailing fast. The kids look great and are an awesome crew. Thank you so much for sharing. I need to log onto Patreon and catch up on what I missed.
Brave Nahoa World! Living your adventures through your videos. Stay strong, stay focused. God Bless from Port Credit ON!
Been watching your videos for the past few months now. Awesome. It's like a little movie everytime;)
Good to see you guys made it around the Cape and headed back North. We will be heading out (finally) from Coos Bay to the Southern Pacific by next summer. We're a mono hull (Caliber 40 LRC). We have been inspired by your epoch journey, and think the world of your non-compromising videos. It is sometimes disconcerting when you see so many NEW sailing channels that would called called bikini boat videos. You two (* four) have consistently produced some of the more real, and best-paced sailing shows on YT ... even if you're on a Cat ; ). It ain't the boat its the skills. Our best to all four of you on SV Nahoa. Wishing you all Fair Winds, Following Seas (and a lot of fish in them!) Cathy and Dorian on SV Arcanum. Peace ... out.
No matter what you face, no matter how tough it is you are giving your children an amazing life.
You are teaching them that they can do it.
My dad did that for me. It’s the most powerful tool I have.
Thank you guys, you are my preffered real sail cruising channel ever. Now with two kids its hard to believe you keep going in such great attitute. Glad you are alright as by now you are around the globe well and happy as a incredible cool sea family. Muchas gracias por todos sus videos. Saludos❤😃
Another fabulous update - thank you! It's been wonderful to see your family grow and your adventures develop. I've not been able to be a Patreon supporter - but believe me - you are going to be my first channel. I want to support - and I would love to see more of the behind the scenes - Bohdi is getting SO Big! And the new underwear layer - - sounds like a 'potential new sponsor...' Tell us more!
Impressive trip and family. Wish you all the best. Building memories for a life time right here
So exciting to see a new video,,poor kids I would be sea sick also,,,lol Be safe and looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Ashley and Ben, you two are remarkable, this episode is giving me anxiety I don’t know how you do it, assumption is because you have to, to cross the oceans. Great team work and handling the stress so well under duress with two little kids who rely on you unconditionally❤. Just remember as you age in years to come, they will care for you, as you did for them!
Woooo! Back on the blue! Looks like the kids bounced back quick. Can't wait to see what y'all get up to!
St Hellena is both a S Atlantic millitary and civil staging post and a rare volcanic island Biome that they are trying to restore/protect so thats the reason for the bio security measures.. Australia and NZ tend to be equally protective these days hardly suprising considering some of the past dissasters theyve experienced with introduced pests and diseases.
The forward sailing cockpit will reduce your work load and exposure to danger especially at night.
A leading sailing publication recently reported on survival rates from MOB accidents in 🇬🇧 lattitudes survival times were aroud 4-6min before the victim lost strength and overall survival rates were 47% or less even on favourable conditions .. in rough seas rain or at night things got very bad.
Remember the sun might be warm but the oceans are deep. Refueling wear a harness ...if you hit a container or other floating object normal can dissapear in an instant and with recent storms its estimated theres hundreds to thousands of floating hazards out there at the moment.
Play but play safely ...
You ALL do fine and Ben I like that you actively FISH to help feed your family and maybe for some fun, I am pretty certain you catch more fish than most any sailing channel. Ashley, I hope I can have as good a wife on the sea as you. Have a Safe Passage and I Love You ALL.
I've seen enough of your videos to know you're an experienced fisherman, but wanted to offer you a tip. Those skipjacks can be good if immediately bled and used for sashimi. But if you dont want to go that route, skipjacks and Bonita are also great for strip baits. If you find yourself sailing a little slow for trolling, like less than 4 knots, a strip bait will work better because the predator fish can smell it, vs just the reaction bite you're looking for out of a normal plastic lure. Strip baits are easy to make and you can freeze them for those slow trolling days. Worth a shot. We use them a lot for wahoo fishing!
Thanks for the pro tip. Will try it next time. We’ve found the hookups go up exponentially in rough weather. Likely due to lure action. Will try the strip bait in calmer conditions.
It’s great to see you all are doing well . I go through my subs occasionally to see if someone hasn’t posted in a while . I’m always glad to see your posts as they are always entertaining and informative . The kids are getting so much bigger and obviously alot more coordinated with all the rolling around . Hope to see alot more from you as I live vicariously sort of through your adventures ! Stay safe !
Wow this is just a great video one of your best yet in my opinion A huge thankyou !!
Way to go guys! What an adventure! 🙌🏻
Excellent video, beautiful family, stay safe. Thank you
37 days at sea …. And that’s why we need a faster boat! ⛵️❤‼️
So great to see you guys!! Awesome Video. Thanks.
You guys are awesome. What an incredible adventure.
At last!!!! :) So happy to get this update and to see you guys!
I liked the Wolverine look, but the wife has a big say. Love the videos!
I so so love you guys! Excellent episode. ❤
Greetings!
Huge respect dealing with seasick children on passage - can't even begin .. .... .
You've probably been too busy to follow the Fastnet but you may be interested in catching up 'cause there were some great multihull moments - more than 80 retirements due to weather conditions but all monohull. Nigel Iren's designed _Allegra_ had a great run and one of her advantages was weight - she's 20tons ! People constantly howl about aluminium being heavier than composites but when you know, you know ... .
Fair winds.
What a passage that was I commend and admire you two. Fair winds God Bless you.
Oklahoma here again! Thank you for sharing your sweet family’s journey!! I absolutely love watching your videos!! You’ve got the most precious little babies!! Keep on keepin on doing what makes your hearts smile!! 💖💖💖💖
Beautiful video and scenery. Thanks.
❤ Much love to your family.
Wow a hell off a sailing family
Love your videos; keep up the excellent work.
So Happy to see you guys safe❤
Entering a strange port or harbour at night is a cardinal no go!
The clear cut move is a good one ;)
I love watching you guys sail. I am not able to support you at this time, but if my own financial situation changes I would be more than happy to do that. You are an inspiration, including the kids, they are little troopers. I'm praying for your safety and protection as you cross those big oceans and seas. You all have amazingly great attitudes when faced with difficult situations. I look forward to seeing you all again next week. Hugs to the little ones from this 70 year old grandma in Holland, MI, USA.
Love what you are doing as a couple, as a family. Keep up the good work, you are appreciated. From Sydney in Australia.
I am so glad you guys are back online…. I was so worried….
Outstanding!
Wow! Had to pause to say that shot at 00:42 seconds was amazing! Don’t know anyone that would dare put their drone up in that kind of environment! But the shot was worth it!
Hey, can you reach that. That was too funny. I think that’s gonna be the new saying around our house. safe travels. See you next week.
Well Done NAHOA on your circumnavigation ❤
Great video thanks.

Thankyou 😊
nice work
Great chalenge!
Africa giving you a farewell blow, wishing you a safe balance of your trip.
Love your live feeds Dudes
Finally a video !
Several years ago you posted a video about defending against pirates. I came up with this . Wasp spray. It shoots in a concentrated stream, it burns like hell, and will stop a 300 lb man in his tracks. Legal to carry anywhere. I'm allergic to wasps.
It was a DORADO fish as we named it here in the Philippines. Good catch!
I really miss this channel
Thankyou 👍
🖐😎 ahoy nahoa ,fairwinds and blessing ⚓
Would love to see you guys in my country Grenada
Hello guys ! Where are you now ? I am close in the Tobago keys. Thanks for all the fishing tips 😁
love the sideburns
Safe sailing ❤
amazing! not for the faint of heart that's for sure. Well done!
Sitting here in Miami at a dock watching you do real stuff.
Good morning Nahoa family.
At 12:41 you're talking about the rocking of the boat and yet you have a pot on the stove. Can you explain how the stove works in your boat?
That's got to be a lot of 'Mommy, are we there yet!' Almost, just another 2 weeks!
Good luck
May the wind be with you
Nice video
Lol... you have the same intro song as Florence Ep160 Norther Atlantic crossing.
