I am eating low carb, high protein, and working out, last 7 months. 239, down from 318. I have no cravings for sugar whatsoever. I am healthier than I have been in 30 years. I still have a way to go, but I am getting there.
You keep rockin it! The last year and half of my life has really sucked and I stupidly reacted to it in a negative way by not following my keto food plan which was like a bad snowball. Gained 38 lbs which might not sound like a lot but when you’re 5’1”, it’s 4 dress sizes plus I’ve chronic severe pain from osteoarthritis to neck, SI joints, knees, ankles and feet. Already had 8 knee surgeries and 3 back surgeries and still need 6 more ortho surgeries at a minimum. I was a size 2 2 years ago and my weight creeped up after I had to finally stop working after a 35 year career as a RN. Waiting on disability and depressed over loss of career etc. Anyway, down to mostly one meal a day, keto. Drinking water before I allow myself Diet Pepsi. Slowly starting to see weight come off. Oh and even though I’m 61, I think menopause finally also is trying to kick my ass. Good times, good times. I will not be defeated!
Those people could eat well over 2000 calories and still lose weight rapidly. I heard him even tell a patient that they couldn’t have a single serving of strawberries per day because it’s “too much carbs.” It’s just unnecessarily restrictive for the tv bit
I think he gives them this for 2 reasons: first because he knows most of them will absolutely not get the portions correct and secondly, it does allow for a bit of cheating and still lose weight. Obviously is they would learn to drink a homemade protein shake that tastes awesome instead of a bowl of ice cream, they’ll hopefully start to make better food choices.
Watch Sean of Steel. His review of that show is hilarious while showing support for those who are trying to save their lives. Ex. “Fat to the Future” was one of his spot on funny comments!
Which is exactly why it doesn't work long term .The body runs on carbs if people only understood you can eat abundantly on plant based whole foods fruits ,veggies ,potatoes ,squashes ,even pasta .Just cut out all the oil people loose a ton of weight and feel fully satisfied
I don't know how you ate all that honestly. I have an issue where i don't feel hungry almost ever and only eat once at night not cuz I'm hungry but cuz I'm diabetic and need to eat something or I'll crash. Do you have any suggestion as to what the hell is wrong with me. 🙏 please❤
Go talk with your endocrinologist and if you don’t have an endocrinologist you need to get one to help you with your diabetes as well as to maybe pinpoint your issues! Good luck. And I say this as a retired nurse of 35 years - thorough physical with knowledgeable doc!

There are but the carbs you count are what is described as net carbs. Grams of fiber are subtracted from total grams of carbs as are any sugar alcohols which applies to items like sweeteners like Swerve. Ex cucumbers 2 gm carbs with 0.3 grams of fiber 2 - 0.3 = 1.7.
Berries have the lowest amount of carbs. And when you eat them with protein and fat it literally slows down the metabolism of the carbs hitting your system
