- I'm sure you all know we have 2 flying mounts in Guild Wars 2, the griffon and the skyscale. But did you know that in the right context the jackal can let you fly too? If you utilize a secret movement technique the jackal will let you fly far across the land just like any other flying mount... well sort of. But if you get really good at it you can make some really impressive long jumps across an entire map!! Maybe, I don't know
There are a lot of cool and interesting little details hidden around the world of Guild Wars 2. Most of them may go completely unnoticed if you aren't paying attention. Here I hope to shed a little light on some of those details in the hopes that you'll go check them out for yourself!

Okay, I did not expect Jackal... I will try that!
I remember the times that I had no skyscale or griffon. I used Skimmer instead. I went to the highest point and then I glide with Skimmer and it was an epic moment for me.💀💀😭😭

Ah, the Jackal-pult trick. No need to use Pounce. Just use the teleport and hit Bond of Faith while you are in the teleport animation :)
I actually found a use for this trick Evan
now that we have the new daily system with the challenges
if you found yourself in a bitter of a problem not wanting to do a old jumping puzzle you already done and there no tag for friend tp you can use this trick to jump you across and skip part or the entire jumping puzzle in some cases
as bond of faith negates 100% fall damage no matter for how high you fall you still be alive
some of the jumping puzzles that i skip with this was the ones in Plains of Ashford, Bloodtide Coast, Frostgorge Sound
being both bloodtide Coast and Frostgorge doable with skyscale but you can actually die in Bloodtide of fall damage if you dont have bond of faith
again plz try the jumping puzzles they are actually cool challenges and some still hold some lore around
skimmer can also fly , kind of , i dub it "the poor man skyscale"
griffon can go vertically from flatground like skyscale even "hover" around,its tricky and looks goofy but its there

@@joyboy6067 that the griffon can "hover"? You mean hover in place like the skyscale? Do you just mean flapping your wings repeatedly with bond of vigor or something else?
@@HarJBeRw hover in place like skyscale but it looks funky imagine a boat in the ocean going abit ups and down because of waves or that toys ride for kid that you usually see in the mall ,yes you need to flap but there is a rythm to it and you dont need bond of vigor ,its simple technique but very hard to master ,if you fail the key combination and rhythm you either flying backward or nose dive to the ground,to this day i cant master it,but i know someone who can,she open my eyes how crazy griffon can be in the right hands
@@joyboy6067 oh wow, really?? Without bound of vigor? I've always known griffon is the absolute best mount but I didn't know it could do that

you don't need it to be quick, as long as blink before the pounce finish and bond of faith before you come out of the blink will do the trick

I wonder if this has anything got to do with the code that Jade ziplines use.
Because I remember browsing the subreddit at the launch of End of Dragons.
There was a clip of someone playing vindicator and they used the special jump up in the air move vindicators are well known for on a jade zipline.
This person was sent so high, their character's head smacked into the top of the skybox. Like the character literally could not go any higher.

No one mentions the synergy between Jackal's Blink and Bond of Vigor. You have infinite blinks as long as BoV is up and at the end you use Bond of Faith.
Apparently you can just buy your skyscale these days so why bother with the jackal?! 😜
