I guess there is a big difference between "Reading" all of the story and event dialog choices, and actually taking the time to read and understand all of the story and event dialog choices. I didn't know anything about the Griffon mental network before this video, but thought that I had read the dialog choices while obtaining my Griffon mount way back when. I really think that Guild Wars, and Guild Wars 2 has some of the best, if not absolutely THE BEST, lore and back story of any game ever created. LOTRO has the great books created by Tolkien, but I know that content so well, it doesn't have the mystery for me that Guild Wars & Guild Wars 2 holds for me. So, thanks for videos like this one, and please keep them coming.

I'm adding another comment that is not just for memes but Tahlkora basically can see the entire plot of Secrets of the Obscure happening if we use the griffon often enough.
I was expecting basic lore tidbits but oh my god was I wrong. The Griffin part? I'm on the floor! This was so exciting to listen to! I really would love your channel to grow a lot, this type of content surely could find an audience, and you narrate them very well, with a very nice montage.

i never expected the griffon lore, i just speedthru the quest to get it lol, i was too concentrated in getting more gold to buy all the necessary stuff XD
always liked the concept of the Nightmare and was mildly disappointed that it was just depicted as generic evil bad guys, interesting to find out this might just be because of Faolain's leadership, and it could be more nuanced, absolutely ripe for exploration if anet went there
I allways felt like this whole nightmare court story was somewhat nonsensical. There has to be at least something holding the nightmare court together... and I don't see what it is...In the beginning it was just some sylvari not wanting to be tied to the dream I believe. But how can you keep up a group like that when the leaders don't even care about each other.
I feel that the Court is more of a confederation of duchies, kinda? Like, each Count or Countess has their own group that may or may not ally to each other, depending on the occasion. Like a more belicous 17th century Germany
The Court was going to be explained in Heart of Thorns before ANet changed the story. It was gonna be confirmed that the Nightmare was actually Mordremoth and that the Mordrem were just empowered Nightmare Courteans, with he being the one that held them together this whole time since he was mind controlling them all. However, ANet heavily changed the story and this whole plot thread was dropped, despite it making no sense for it to exist otherwise.

There's this lore that is also missing in gw2, it was called "UI customization". Even Anet forgot about it XD
