It can mimic the sound of a precision bass very well too. I have a Frudua GfJ 5 string problably made by Cort in Korea. And before i had a Läkland skyline 5501 made by Cort (korea plant). Great quality In a few days i pick up an amber version of this one.
I really miss this bass...regret selling it but the 35" scale was a bit too much for my small hands at the time. It was surprisingly light for it's size, the finish/clear pickguard were amazing. If I ever get a chance to purchase this again I definitely will do, shame only the amber color seems to be available right now. The 2 band preamp was not my favorite but useful. If I had kept it a bit longer I would have probably swapped out the preamp. Definitely needed a setup when I first purchased. Ahhh great buy...wish I had kept it now.
Looks to be a damn nice 5-string J-Bass for the money. Great as a living room bass, or even as a live backup bass. The only problem is being a Sadowsky player for almost two decades, kinda might spoil it a bit for me.
Constructive Critique I can only say that cort is increasing the quality in a great way and I’m using them as my main basses. I had tons of expensive bass in the past
My friend i own 10 basses and play as a pro for over 25 years now. All my instruments are giggin' and they cost (new) from 400 to 10000 euro. I get it that with a boutique bass everything is top notch and (hopefully) out of the box perfect, but don't let the price of an instrument cloud your judgement. These basses are top and their only weak link MAY be the pickups. But that's an easy fix and costs only about 250-300 euros (again IF needed).
I read it's 35" and I've small hands. Can you confirm it? I never paid attention to Cort but I'm loving the gb series. I can't afford a Fender elite, and this seems a great option. Can be you tried the gb55? Passive one. I love the blue one with rosewood fingerboard.
Complimenti per la tua recensione... Sembra davvero un ottimo strumento. Solo vorrei domandare; quanto pesa? e, in ogni caso, è ben bilanciato? Grazie in anticipo...
Hi there , very nice demo thanks for sharing, I have a question regarding the weight is it correct ? (i have an Ash Macus miller V7 5 string and it's very very heavy)...if we compare the Cort is lighter ? Thanks a Lot Regards SV.
I have had 2 Corts in the past and they both have been typically lighter than their Fender counterparts. One of them was less than eight and a half pounds. I don't remember the weight of the other one.
Put it through some good tube drive and that fret buzz will add to the character. Other than that the only option is to mess with the truss rod or raise the action at the bridge. If you have no clue, take it to a luthier and they can give you a good setup.
I have just bought thi cort bass. I can only say that's impossible to play . Frets are non levelled, the angle between neck and pocket is not right. Strings buzz from the 8th fret to the 20th fret also with the high action setted by the cort workers. This bass has good woods, discrete electronic and hardware but a biggest problem: it can't be played . It's not right that i must go to a luthier to solve production problems of this brand if i payed 570€ ( 600$ ) to buy a "well reviewed" bass.
Beautiful bass. I really like the Bridge Pickup with the active mode, bass boost. Sweet. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Alberto. Hows the build quality on those? About to order one online, can't check for myself.
kimseniorb it’s great in my opinion! I recommend the Gb series

Martí Sanmartí yes it’s 35 but I have small hands as well! But the 4 string is 34 I think
Excellent video Where can I get a bass like that in the US Thank you for your answer
Thanks! I guess it’s discontinued now. Search on reverb maybe
jezz, that looks like a blown disc in the making.
Does it work without batteries in passive mode?
Sorry can’t remember.. and now it’s has been discontinued
Hi, I only see the amber version on the website, is your bass a special? Nice playing! 👍🏾

SV Marco I don’t compared to sire but it’s a bight weight but like the fender elite for example

This one is kinda heavy. I have the "sister", the GB75JH, with the same body but MM pickup at the bridge. Heavy it is.
Just got this bass, which position should the knob be in for active mode? Up or down? I haven't been able to find out
down is active
Hey man...I got the 4 string...it's hard to remove fret buzzz...can you please make a video for setting up this bass...

Whats the string spacing? Thanks
19mm, adjustable by means of multi-slotted saddles

Hi! Great demo! What is the string space at bridge?
Ivan Ivanov 19
Thank you!
Ivan Ivanov thanks to you for watching!
I got the same bass and the saddles have multiple notches. You can slightly adjust the string spacing to your preference !
Hey mate, what song is that??? Nice bass!
Northern Lights thanks! Which one?
That one you play on the video of course! :)))
Northern Lights yes of course but there are many. First one is sir duke by Stevie wonder

Ivan Bassx sorry to hear this. I had two and never had this kind of problem
ma è in acero fiammato il manico???
si, non molto accentuato però
I wonder if it's the bass or the way he plays it, but I hear a lot of fretbuzz...
Part of fender signature glassy sound is a little of fret buzz.
True but that ain’t a Fender, however that may be the tone and sound Cort was going after in building this bass.
@@edennard1 It's 35" it results in greater string tension and brighter tone.
How much does it weigh?
Around 4kg
