I set mine at 4/64" E string 17th fret. ;-)
My Cort GB Modern came with a nut that's 2mm at the first fret. Needs a to go the shop before I can really get into it fully. Lovely bass, I hope...
Interesting that you don't set the height of the A and D strings to match the fretboard radius.
I need more lefthand Basses, Cort!
It's good, but u should do the same video on Cort A5 Beyond Open Pore bass as well. Very important.
Thank U!!!
I was just at NAMM '24 and was very disappointed Cort had no booth. I really wanted to try the Modern GB4. Unfortunately there's no one carrying the bass near me to try.
Whaaat they didn't?? What a shame!! Cort is in my opinion one of the best instrument makers when it comes to affordability and quality + a lil attempts in tryin different things!
Why do some basses have dead spots ?
I had a fender jazz mex once that had dead spots mainly around the D n G string 5-6 fret
Resonant frequency of the neck typically...has some canceling effect with the string's resonance. Talking out of my ass here but I've noticed you can attach weights to the headstock to eliminate or even move the deadspot. And other types of construction methods don't have these issues.

@@dumpywhiteNo this is something a bit different. Fenders were notorious for having dead spots in certain areas of the neck too.
@@tylerwmbass ah, seems you're correct, i apologize. I withhold my suggestion due to my ignorance.
