    Jeff Berlin...went to B.I.T. (Musicians Institute) in the late 80's, early 90's.
    His playing is a FORCE.

    I still say “as much as I agree with Jeff,” I say to be really good on an instrument you still need a healthy aptitude for music.

    He lost me when he said perfect.what is he talking about? Perfect in the sense that he's running to the next chord and outlining it? They are just so above me just a blue's player that wants to play more jazz walking bass lines.

      I think by perfect bassline they meant basslines from legends like Ray Brown in legendary recordings. Because there is the actual jazz bass vocabulary hidden in those lines.

      I think he’s saying that instead of agreeing that “practice makes perfect” you should agree that “practice perfect makes perfect practice”
