- Cúchulainn is located in the Garamsythe Waterway, No. 1 Cloaca. In order to enter here, you need to get the Sluice Gate key first. This key is obtained after you complete two hunts.
The first hunt that you need to complete is called "Waterway Haunting". It's a Rank I hunt. The second hunt that you need to complete is called "Lost in the Pudding".
Now, you have the key! However, in order to get to Cúchulainn's specific location, you will need to activate some waterway controls!
Step 1: Close No.3 Waterway Control.
Step 2: Close No.10 Waterway Control.
Step 3: Enter the No.3 Cloaca Spur section.
Step 4: At the No.3 Cloaca Spur section, use the No.1 South Waterway Control.
Step 5: Return to the Central Waterway Control and open No.3 control.
Step 6: Open No.10 control.
Step 7: Now, close No.4 control.
Step 8: Close No.11 control.
Step 9: Enter the No.4 Cloaca Spur section.
Step 10: At the No.4 Cloaca Spur section, use the No.1 North Waterway Control.
Step 11: Return to the Central Waterway Control and open No.11 control
Final Step: Close No.3 control!
Now, No. 1 Cloaca is accessible from the Central Waterway Control!

I remember using the strategy guide in the ps2 original to get this esper. But I didn't know you had to be level 45. I beat him at level 39 with ranged weapons and a healer that could remove the status effects.
Eh, no. The esper has level 45, you can beat it at level +35.
You are doing God's work here. I have no idea of how they thought that we would find this by ourselves.
If you have sufficient gil, you can easily defeat Cuchulainn with the "Gil Toss" technick as well.
In Final Fantasy 12 - The Zodiac Age, you can only get "Gil Toss" at Draklor Laboratories in Archades.

how did you get rid of the foobars ? I could not kill them fast enough at lvl 34.

@@Kwantomkaos Oh i havent thought about it, I managed to beat the boss and fubars with spers and sublimations, constant healing and waiting for the bars to fill. Got bested like 30 times >.

Zeromos has the most annoying one where u cant cast spell and he has a shit ton of minion around him
I think your good is the most efficient. I have been using your video to defeat all the three early Esper. Although I don't really used exactly what you have been advising, but the gist is there. Like this one. White mage is extremely important, where he will 100% heals. Then, 1 attacker, where he will focused on attacking. The other one is dual-role, healer and will attack when have nothing to heal. Plus, I used Larsa too just after Eruyt Village. Definitely an addition to support the White Mage.
Should be noted that the Foobars are undead and Curaga will hurt them (you obviously wouldn't use Cura/Curaja) if they are getting to be too annoying.
For this one I might use + just to erase them fast.
Watching this made me realize that since you are warned what the mob is casting you can just go in to the menu and equip the right accessory to counter what's coming. I finished the PS2 version and I'm 50 hours in to the PS4 release and it never occurred to me until now.
