Muramasa is the third best katana in the game and you can get it quite early! It has ATK +104 and EVA +31 and it's a weapon for Bushi job. The easy way to get this weapon is by stealing it from Avenger or Gilgamesh. However, in this video, I will show you the hardest way to get this weapon. Maybe, you're wondering why I'm going to do that. The reason is very simple. These two enemies appear very late in the game. And it's pointless to get this weapon at that point of the game. So, the idea is to get this weapon early and use it the most part of the game. And technically, it's not too hard to do! So, follow the method I will suggest you and you will be fine!
Before to start, I want to show you an introduction of the method. Muramasa is obtained from a rare monster called Crypt Bunny. This enemy is located in The Feywood, Walk of Stolen Truths section. This infamous bunny drops Muramasa, but it has a pretty low drop rate (3%). Also, the Crypt Bunny's spawn is very tricky too! In order to Crypt Bunny appears, you need to kill at least 6 Cerberus and all the Tartarus in the Walk of Stolen Truths section. So, the purpose of this method is to increase the Muramasa's drop rate from 3% to 12% by leveling up the hunting chain. It's already hard to do because Crypt Bunny and Cerberus/Tartarus are two different type of enemies and you cant level up the chain by killing different type of enemies. However, there is a trick to keep your chain up despite what type of enemy you kill!

Honestly, the time spent farming the X-Potion's and waiting for the Cerberus and Tartarus to die is a lot more than just straight out killing them and going for the 3% drop. This comes from someone who got Muramasa from Crypt Bunny on multiple playthroughs in the Vanilla FFXII. The only thing I am wondering about is if you can get the autosave trick to work in TZA, as in get Crypt Bunny near the zone exit, zone out, get back, kill it, if it didn't drop, reload autosave, rince and repeat until you get Muramasa.

I tried both methods in the original version and i can telll you i spent more time waiting for these wolves to die than simply go straight in extermination mode killing everything on sight without any chain level. And proof is on my several playthroughs i got the muramasa drop 2 times, and both were without any chain.
And i can guarantee you i spent wayyyyyyyy more time trying to do it with the best drop rate possible (with chain up) than without chain.
You also said it's worthy to do it this way because you can you get it early, but "post archades" story line is pretty late in my opinion, the fey wood is available right after the hennes mines events.
In order to answer Ryu, i tried "the autosave" trick several times today to check how this rare game works exactly in that matter... results are: You CAN spawn the bunny and zone out to come back immediately, but he 'll never stay at the place you left him and he will be pretty damm hard to find again (even if you put him in sleep) even harder (sometimes) than simply killing everything to spawn him once again.
So this weapon remain pretty hard to get early on.
One question though, you mentionned you can get it through gilgamesh, right? how then
According to FFwikia, Muramasa can only drop from Crypt Bunny, be stolen from Avenger and from Trial 72 along with being in a tresure chests in Pharos and Cerobi Steppe.
I am currently at the point of trying to get Muramasa, so I did test autosave and it doesn't work. You have to respawn the bloody thing again. Given I'm on PC side, I currently can't do RNG manipulation which is the best way to get this weapon reliably. Aka kill everything in sight (so they don't interfere with RNG), then drop crypt bunny to low enough HP level that you can one shot it, put it to sleep, set the RNG to a position where you will get the drop. I'm not sure how many positions a normal attack moves the RNG (2 or 3 I believe), but I do know that Crypt Bunny has 2 possible drops, so that's at least one number to keep in mind since the game goes in order when determining the drops, the easiest chance towards the lowest chance and monographs last (which is why you always see them in that order when you pick up the drops).
So for example if normal attack moves the RNG position by 2, you would have to make sure there are 3 values between your current RNG position and the one that gives you drop. 2 for the attack and 1 for the crap drop. If the PC RNG manipulation becomes a thing, I'll test it more to figure out exactly how it works, but can't imagine it being any different than stealing or getting the treasure chests.

Oof, I was kinda hoping you'd share where you can find it in the Barheim Passage, West Annex.
Niho-remedy trick works faster. But killing tartarus and cerberus in this game is considered like you are killing the same enemy and the chain continues. You can build up your chain by killing them and not picking up the loot until you reach high level drops. By the time you grow your chain the crypt bunny should appear. Kill him with Niho-remedy and collect the loot hoping for the best.

Why are you picking up the ozmone bunnies drops before you your chain is lvl max?

um. I thiiiink. Im gonna do Zodiac spear rng instead. Stronger weapon and faster and easier and i dont waste gil on x potions
its a pretty good strategy bro and learned a lot from this tech but its not worth getting the kitana blade.. its been 8 hours and the Cript bunny still hasn't drop a anything even with a 60- combo chain.. and I run out of potions fast

Like I said in the video, it's the hardest way, but its the olny way to get this weapon "early". The other option is to level up the chain even more, I got the weapon with a 99 level chain. You can still get it from Avenger or gilgamesh. Make sure do not kill avenger before to get the weapon, because he doesnt appear again.
