A small note, I don't remember if I mentioned it, or explained it, but you can get all but the absolute newest released ships in game. So going with an Aurora or a Mustang Alpha, is a great way to get in game, and then work up to other ships you have your eye on! Keep me posted on how it's going! If you're interested in any other ships, I have quite a few comp/buyer's guides up as well, and even more in the works!
The aroura is my favorite ship i never seem to use i have no clue why i dont with how much i like it. Also if you want to borrow a ship for your reviews i have a few just let me know. I will be available starting on the 26th this month for a few days
Some ships end up that way! My Constellation Taurus is probably my favorite pledge ship that I own, but I barely fly it unless there is an Org event, or running cargo!
I think what you're trying to politely say is, if you're choosing between the Mustang and the Aurora, pick the Aurora. I know from experience, so I won't be polite about it. It sucks having a ship that you can't do even the most basic non-combat focused missions in. Unless you only want to do bounties, then you do you, but if you're just starting out in the game, box missions are a great way to just get acclimated to SC.
I should have started this series with the Mustang. Now that the cargo pod is mostly fixed, it's a very nice starter ship. I think that the two are nearly equal in most regards. However, the Mustang is a bit more combat focused, and the Aurora is a bit easier to do non-combat missions with. I personally would buy the Mustang, but that's because I know what I want to do with it. The Aurora is still a great and possibly one of the greatest starting ships in space sim games.

Thanks for the video and info. After trying out the recent free flight and talking to my brother and my son who play, I'm going with the Aurora.
