@Tomskii5 the aircraft started to put the throttle foward, you can hear the sound of the engines make a uprising sound, but then drop back down to an idle speed because they got rejected as they started to take off.
@PremierLeagueUpdates 'K' indicates that this is the outbound flight sector and the return flight number will have the suffix 'L' for the inbound. There are other suffix used to indicate a repositioning flight or corporate charter etc.
It is a rejected take-off; it's just not what you wanted to see. He went to take-off (engines spooled) and then cancelled it. That is the definition of rejecting a take-off. You know that you can reject a take-off stationary? If you perform a breaks-on engine test before rolling and cancel your intentions, that counts. Furthermore the captain makes a PA because they started moving and stopped. There would be no need if they were just waiting on the runway; waiting on runways happens all the time. To my knowledge there is no need to reposition by moving forward when already on the runway and straight. You are even allowed to use a displaced threshold to take-off, even though you can't land before it. There is a poetic way they say "runway behind you is useless" - professional pilots wouldn't waste runway just to move a meter forward...
I’ve been on this a320 with Thomas cook as well and I must say, it is a very good handling plane and handles turbulence very well, I’ve been on this plane dozens of times and I’ve never had a smoother trip on a airplane
No it was indeed an RTO, not a dramatic one, but nevertheless an RTO. Also under TCX SOP, that's not the time or the way to do a break test on the A320.
This is NOT a rejected Take-off, the pilot is just waiting until the birds fly away.. so he can take-off without any damage on his plane.. this is just a normal procedure..
as stated by the provider of this video anytime a pilot has accepted a takeoff clearance from atc even if its only 20 knots and he/she stops the plane its a rejected t/o
so this was a backtrack to line up and wait rwy 26 and to be advised for birds within the area and to wait for T/O clearance? never a rejected take off.
it isn't a rejected takeoff because a rejected takeoff is when the aircraft is about 80 knots or 100 knots then suddenly begins to slow down if it was rejected takeoff the pilot would have had no room left on the runway and have to taxi back to the start of the runway again
yeah civillians. the other day i was on my flight simulator on approach to bordeaux from birmingham with a monarch A320 and my sister asked me am i using irb( reffering to ILS. i hate it when people dont understaind
Not really a rejected take off but you can hear the engines begin to spool up, then probably the birds were spotted and it was decided to wait for them to move out of the way - didnt seem like a lot of time for the "birdman" to come out though - they probably just flew off themselves (sick of being sucked into jet engines!!).
this is no rejected take off and isnt seat 5f A 320 wing seats are mostly starting with 12/14...depends on config. but %a is most in front without wingview....
Nice video, although i thought it would be real RTO, like at some speed, not this little. IMO not even RTO. Anyway great job from pilots to spot birdsd with sun almost blinding them.
Not really! The seating plan is in a 3-3 config. That's six seats per isle. A,B,C on the right and D,E,F on the left. He's on row 5, seat F next to the window!
Yes that's impossible. Your seat was 15 or 16 A. the row 5 is not above the wing (is quite before the beginning of the wing) and the seat F is the other side window seat.
Rejected takeoff? Where? Still waiting for it?
Simon Daysh 7:17
Niall Lock it is rejected because they had thrust to the engines and idled them, rejecting it.
@Tomskii5 the aircraft started to put the throttle foward, you can hear the sound of the engines make a uprising sound, but then drop back down to an idle speed because they got rejected as they started to take off.
the only thing to be rejected in this video is the video with its title "Rejected" itself
ha
Awesome vid!!
I like your content
@PremierLeagueUpdates 'K' indicates that this is the outbound flight sector and the return flight number will have the suffix 'L' for the inbound. There are other suffix used to indicate a repositioning flight or corporate charter etc.
No rejected t/o here. Simply a brake check at 7:09 and a required safety hold.

@03Wale Well i think take off is when speed is alive (approx 40kts), and this was merely 2 meters taxi.
I’ve been on this a320 with Thomas cook as well and I must say, it is a very good handling plane and handles turbulence very well, I’ve been on this plane dozens of times and I’ve never had a smoother trip on a airplane
As an Exonian living abroad it is great to see the red soil of Devon!!!!!
"Bird man to come frighten them away" the most accurate terminology out there
TCX557K does the K mean it is unlocked and be overclocked?
I didn't see the rejected takeoff,, was it filmed??
Thomas cook and jet2 go to Exeter?
It was not a rejected take off, the plane was "back tracking" the runway to reposition for the correct runway.
Civilians?
No it was indeed an RTO, not a dramatic one, but nevertheless an RTO. Also under TCX SOP, that's not the time or the way to do a break test on the A320.

@BJHawk53 It's still an RTO given the T/O run had started and they stopped before V1
over 200 mph RTO? Are you sure it wasn't edwards AFB that you were taking off from?
The aircraft in the video is an Airbus A320, not a Boeing 757.
how did you record this? cause your not allowed anything electrical during takeoff or landing
as stated by the provider of this video anytime a pilot has accepted a takeoff clearance from atc even if its only 20 knots and he/she stops the plane its a rejected t/o

@usmanchoudry thank you, I do know, I just skipped through the video and didn't see it
Then why did the pilot say there was some bird activity ahead? after they stopped?
Great video mate! Love them pet sounds "the barking dog" :D
@PremierLeagueUpdates This is a Plane video? not a processor video...
This is not what we can call a rejected take off !
Great video buddy, many thx for posting :)
yeah civillians. the other day i was on my flight simulator on approach to bordeaux from birmingham with a monarch A320 and my sister asked me am i using irb( reffering to ILS. i hate it when people dont understaind
Thanks for sharing, I recommend you "737 Flight Simulator" for iPhone, a lot of fun during long flights.
Great video! Thank You
@Gabe4D ah cheers, didn't have sound on my laptop so that explains a lot.
Thanks for sharing, I'm surprised how quiet the Airbus is compared with the 737.
They call it the hacksaw over here, sounds like the wings are being cut off.
At 8.48 you can hear a small bird hit the engine.
Rejected take-off?
Awsome I will be going on the Thomascook A320 on tuesday its apparently there only A320 :) cool vid
bird man was there..??? did he perform>> :P
The bird man :)
Where is the rejected take off
You are actually not allowed to film during takeoff and landing on all airlines (Example) "Thomas Cook,Air Canada, Westjet and Sunwing.
that didn't look like an RTO after all he didn't move that far even after revving up to 60% power and then have to power down
where is this?
Great video!!
Where is the rejected take off then
the captain said there was bird activity ahead just after the first attempt so I think it WAS a rejected takeoff! :)
@lonleyraverx14 Yeah i know, I just skipped through the video and missed it....
I rejected watching anything else you post.
Doesn't really look like rejecting the takeoff at 7:09 though
great video!!
This aircraft leaves TCX today :(
God! That was a perfect video....
Usually cameras are allowed as they have no hazards what so ever they mean phones and laptops etc
Well, and according to the authors terminology I might be correct when I say, that I rejected this video as well :D
+Chris Mni Was a load of crap, rejected ffs
I was on a rejected takeoff at DCA with JetBlue, i'ts actually on my channel,, I uploaded it. We started full thrust and then stopped!
I was making a connection -_-
Thomas cook is an awsome plane. :)
You mean airline, right?
Still same shit :)
not even close.... but close enough ;P
Exeter is my local airport! :D I remember when the wheel fell of a Dash 8 - Q400 that time! :D
8:50 Demons onboard?
That is a rejected takeoff, He started the takeoff roll, and Aborted it due to birds, doesn't matter how fast you're going
nice video bro,
You now owe me 13:41 min of my life!
A few years ago when I was landing in Athens we landed hard on one wheel and dashed up and had a go-around. I shit my pants.
1) you are in seat 5f. You are over the damn wing.
Well it's Airbus Ron! ;)
Well.. That was not a RTO at all.. But I liked the CFM's Engine sound! Just love A320s! =)
That plane looks sick ;)
This is not a Boeing 757
I love you too, Mate.
Best Regards
Jose.
are u a pilot or want to be a pilot? lol cool videos btw =)
Go elsewhere then?
Yes it is. I flew in it last week!!!
Nice video, although i thought it would be real RTO, like at some speed, not this little. IMO not even RTO. Anyway great job from pilots to spot birdsd with sun almost blinding them.
for me rejected takeoff is when airspeed building and throtthle at full //toga // or flex n1 :D
there is NO rejected take off...
White Smoke on the trees.. At 03:59
maybe the birds were fighting 😂 that's way rejected takeoff
This is a rejected take off of a Boeing 757-200- 752 from MAN
Birdman = Tony Hawk? =)
Airbus flaps are faster than boeing's one, but airbus is still losing
planes tickets are pricy, a flight from Sioux falls to san Francisco is $400
The video should have been called "delayed takeoff" instead...
I agree, no RTO here - nice vid of take off though.
seat '5f? impossible!
Francisco Casegas CK10101 you can check it in this link www.seatguru.com/airlines/Thomas_Cook_Airlines/Thomas_Cook_Airlines_Airbus_A320.php
Francisco Casegas I see! You are right ;)
What?
Pilot sounds like Adrian Charles :)
7:40 i wanna be the bird man!
it wont let me send you message untell tommrow but just fyi :3 but it looks like you like planes
Of course there is a rejected take off.
i do like planes
Nice movie ronaldcgriffin, however nog rejected takeoff whatsoever
wasn't even rejected. how pathetic.
Oh, right! Cool! :D
yea no definitely lots of taxiing and only one successful takeoff... lucky birds!
07:20
я нихуя не понял, а где режектед тэйкофф?
"rejected takeoff"? Uhh no...
