A big thing I learned and am still learning through my journey is to not compare my journey to someone else's. That was a big problem of mine at first. After I focused on me I am striving and doing so much better. Good for you bro, keep the good work up.
Im currently 62 hours into my PPL training waiting on a checkride date. I really enjoy watching someone else work towards the same dream that I have of becoming an airline pilot. Best of luck to you on your aviation journey!
Hey man, glad RUclips put this in my feed. I just became a flight instructor and about to take my double I checkride. I’ve been to both part 141 and part 61 programs. Both are amazing. It depends on the program, but part 61 really doesn’t challenge you to think about the aircraft in a knowledge sense. They will teach you to fly a plane that’s for sure. I personally would read ahead. Anytime I have a student come up to me asking me questions about what they’ve heard it makes me excited to see that they care a ton about aviation just as I do. I believe your chief pilot is just not wanting you to get stuck in the weeds of aviation when you are first starting off. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want you to read ahead, it’s so counterintuitive. A good pilot is a pilot that’s always learning. In regards to landing, In the aircraft I train in, we land at Vg:65kts. This speed gives buffer room for gust factors and allows you to float down the runway a bit longer depending on if your aircraft is low or high wing. Remember one thing, if flying was easy, everyone would be doing it. It’s not easy at all. Failing is normal. Sometimes you’ll have to fall off the bike just to learn how to get back up. I wanted to give up multiple times because my flight instructor would just yell at me when I didn’t understand something. That’s why I’m a flight instructor now so I can be the example of what not to do to students. If I can leave you with one piece of information, everyone grows at different rates. I used to judge my progress based on how my peers were progressing. If they were going through faster than I was, I would be upset. You will eventually be exactly where I’m at in the future. Take your time, don’t rush the process because ultimately it will keep you behind. Keep your head up and keep the blue side up my man. ❤
@@irubenguler Arkansas my man. I went to 141 at UCM, one of the best aviation programs I’ve seen. They really try to get you in and out and don’t want you being there for more than 4 years. They want you to get out into the world and fly. I volunteered at our maintenance hangar and over the summer time I would just hang out with the maintenance crew always asking questions about aircraft. They would let me work on the aircraft as much as 141 repair stations could allow me to without an A&P cert. They gave me old gauges that couldn’t be overhauled, but most importantly, they gave me knowledge about not only the 172, but about turbines and everything that flies. They constantly challenged me. When I graduated the whole maintenance crew showed up to my graduation. It was truly emotional and if I had to do it all over again I would in a heartbeat. Now my opportunities are different than others, but go out of your way to learn more. Stop by your local maintenance hangar and actually learn about your plane. Go out and learn what an IO-360-L2A engine is and what all those symbols mean. Go learn about how the starter works. Put your hands on it. Or what push rods are. Be a true professional in your craft. Stand out and come as if you are now challenging your CFI to their knowledge capabilities. Hell, if my student came in challenging me to my knowledge on an aircraft and they know more than me, I’d be staying up late at night to make sure I know everything of what they could ask me so I don’t get outsmarted. 😉
Ifr check ride in two weeks. This is great watching your videos. They keep me motivated, and the topics you talk about are great refreshers for vfr flying. Keep it up!
Kudos for being able to do the flying and ground at the same time! I personally find this difficult, since it takes me a while to digest the knowledge. Weather and VOR nav is literally what I studied during ground session yesterday too haha! Taking my written exam on Wednesday, fingers crossed to passing in the 90's. Paused flight training for now (at 10 hrs), gonna get back after the written. You're absolutely right, dreams intimidating (especially becoming a pilot), but we gotta give ourselves a chance by putting in the work! Let's go bro! (Side note: I got that same plotter too, ugh. But it's alright once you learn how to use it. I have the ASA CX3 too just to ensure I give my best chance on the written)
Man, glad you are enjoying this journey, i already finish my PPL and being honest with you take your time enjoy your XC solo flight, enjoy every single moment that you will be by yourself on that airplane, i know is overwhelming when you go to a class B airspace but that the way to learn, most on the student on my flight school they don't go to class B because they are scared to talk to ATC.
Your content is genuinely touching and motivating; just a small nudge in the right direction can steer people towards success. I've booked a discovery flight to test the waters in aviation. It might not go smoothly, but hey, it could be the start of something amazing. Wish you all the best with your journey!
Thank you! I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams. Wow lemme know how your discovery flight goes. I remember after my discovery flight that’s when I knew I wanted to do this
@@irubenguler I appreciate it! I just finished my discovery flight today, well it felt awesome! My flight instructor was anyone I could have hoped for as my first flight instructor, kind and very optimistic with my abilities even when I was a little slow to grasp his requests in the air, can't learn if you don't make mistakes. I was terrified at first being on a small aircraft but after the flight he said if I ever wanted to comeback and pursuit aviation he'll be there. After hearing those I already made up my mind that I'll be returning! I truly appreciate your kind words!
Bro you really should. I have such a passion for making videos. Probably a dream of mine to create content for a living. And also to become a pilot. Start now! Let’s grow together
Hey Ruben, glad to hear things are progressing well! I’m now just one month away from the start of my flight lessons! I learned to read ATIS codes the other day in ground school. Actually not nearly as confusing as I expected them to be. Thanks as always for the inspiring words!
Bro serious u always inspire me for me also am not all that good in science and maths but my passion from childhood is to be a pilot and bro I must be a pilot before I get satisfied in life
In my opinion I think two flights in one day can get overwhelming. But I think a flight and a ground is best. That’s what I do. Double stack lessons. But today I did two flights in one day and it was exhausting
I would say to get a ground school program, like “kings school” That’s what I did. And I went into school already knowing so much about flying. It is a little bit of money but I think it’s worth it if you’re trying to get ahead.
What company are you going through for flight school? I’m trying to decide if I want to get my private through part 141 then go to part 61 for the rest of my flight training

I’m currently 50 hours in my PPL and I look forward to your motivation. Can’t wait to see you in the skys

Dang bro. This was solid. Thank you for the advice! Congrats to you for achieving all your ratings and becoming a CFI!
What state you teach out of?

“Don’t read ahead” they don’t want you to leave too soon and stop paying them lmao
Haha valid.
I have my first ever discovery flight in an hour! so excited, thanks for the content! Been binge-watching your videos as I decide on a flight school.
Best of luck brother! Let me know how it goes

Yeah, going through B airspace def makes you a better pilot. My school requires you to go through it
Just did my first solo today! The weather was perfect with only 2kts wind, so everything went smoothly
Oh wow! I hope I get the same wind haha. Congrats that’s big
Working on my instrument bro, love watching your progress with ppl and that motivation got me fired up bro Lfg
Let’s goooo!!! Happy to hear the feedback. I need to hear this, not sure how my message is digested sometimes. So thank you for the kind words!

Glad you’re enjoying it! I just did my first take off and I can say it’s truly a rewarding journey.
Really is! Such a rewarding career
I’m 16 and I just recently enrolled into a flight school the application process is super complicated but I hope to get my ppl by my 17th birthday
That would be crazy to get it so young. Props to you.
Are you in school to become an airline pilot? Btw I am always so excited when ur new vid comes out.
Yes I am. Haha
I just did the same bit of weather last week...feels like I could be your local weatherman 🤣🤣
Hahaha FR!

Oh wow you’ll do great if you’re already understanding ATIS codes. You ahead of the game! Good work
Awesome thanks for letting us in
Thank you for your support🙂
The motivational part also my fav part!
Thank you for the feedback. I need to know what you guys are enjoying and what you guys aren’t haha

Thank you for watching brotha!!
My short field landings are such a Biiiiatchhh!!!!
Lols
What’s up Ruben! I just recently came across your channel. At this stage in your ppl, do you think doing two flight lessons per day is a good idea?
In my opinion I think two flights in one day can get overwhelming.
But I think a flight and a ground is best. That’s what I do. Double stack lessons. But today I did two flights in one day and it was exhausting
Do you work full time while getting your ppl? If so how often do you fly?
I am, I’m flying about 3-4 times a week. And ground training aswell.
Do u have any suggestion on what basic foundation of knowledge to learn/master before goin to flying school?
I would say to get a ground school program, like “kings school”
That’s what I did. And I went into school already knowing so much about flying. It is a little bit of money but I think it’s worth it if you’re trying to get ahead.
What company are you going through for flight school? I’m trying to decide if I want to get my private through part 141 then go to part 61 for the rest of my flight training
I’m in 141, I just learn better with a structured set up. I talk about this in one of my videos, I believe I titled it “picking a flight school”
What type raiting are you going for
PPL
Hey brother , what flight school are you attending?
I don’t think the school wants me to expose their name so I’m not sharing for now.
Are you part 61 or 141?
141
wish you’d stop drinking energy drinks. other than that.. good job! proud of you! 😘
Haha they’re too good to stop.
Thank you🙂❤️
