UPDATE: After uploading, I realized instant chances do not pool together on the Eye Of The Storm as they do on the Rain Of Sparks. It comes down to the ammo being used. On the ROS, the regular arrows can trigger any instant state, so the chance to trigger an instant is the sum of all the instant coils and perks. However, it appears with elemental arrows on the Eye Of The Storm, they will only trigger their corresponding instant state. So, the chances for different instant states do not pool with elemental arrows. The total instant frost chance for 5 elite frost coils is 5 * 5% = 25%, not 31% as stated in the video. The 6% instant corroding perk does not factor in.
I remember the instant elemental coil have stated only impact and elemental ammo will have chance to activate. Hence it worked for ROS light arrow. But EOTS only has elemental arrow, so the coil and its own perk only worked for the respective elemental arrow?
hey Arktix Great videos I absolutely love them but I was thinking how do you get a higher quantity of arrows i saw this when you access your weapon wheel for example on your sun scourge bow you have 30 arrows but the default amount is 20 Can anyone let me know I want to try it out

@@mkmfan3197 I’m not sure what you’re asking. It is different because once you have completed the requirement for a job, it will stop tracking it on your map - but you can fix that by placing whatever item in storage. You still need to have a job active with brimshine as a requirement though

Not really sure that this is much better than picking an item that you want to get/upgrade last as the job item and then just plugging in all the other ones first. Stash and workbench are located together. I guess if you still have pieces to buy it saves you from going back to the shop, but it is a relatively small improvement.
I never could get the railgun to provide quite as consistent damage output as Gravesinger's Lament with the crit build. But it's just so _fun_, and its ammo is quite cheap. So I still used it pretty regularly anyhow. :-D
I see emperor's reign as a good hunter bow for those machine master builds since you have those targeting arrows for an overridden machine ally as well as berserk arrows if you want to cause all out havoc in a pack of machines (of course the berserk blast Valor surge does that even better)

I've loved these games forever but I found the combat system in Forbidden West very overwhelming for a long time, looking back I'm not even sure how I finished my first playthrough with all the mechanics I didn't use! I'm looking forward to the Spectre Gauntlet master class video because I have a lot of questions in regards to the Gauntlet. Other videos say the same things you've said in regards to it. Also, it has knockdown potential as well as tear. Might be due to the explosive attributes to it, but it doesn't destroy Components.....

Personally, I think I'll stick with irivs downfall, I use the elite precision arrows all the time and from my experience, the elite one shots hesdshots human enemies even with their armor. And I think you've convinced me to use the new warrior bow.

That's a grievous misuse of resources..... Using Elite Precision arrows on lowly Human foes when even regular Precision arrows will be an instant kill w a headshot. There is absolutely no reason to ever use Elite Precision Arrows against a Human foe. Elite Precision Arrows are rarely worth it... Their crafting cost is FAR too expensive for the rather small boost in power they get over the Advanced Precision Arrows.
@@emiliojoseflores9547 Fire got nerfed so bad in this game. I half expected them to fix it via a patch but they never did. Fire was so useful in the first game, now it's all but useless. A real shame & what I believe to be a serious design flaw that could have easily been fixed.
As for the new weapons, The Tie That Binds and Last Argument are game-changing and excellent. The Skyhammer is also fantastic. I know Sun Scourge exists, but there are times when bombing a machine with elemental buildup AND leaving behind a lingering pool of continued buildup is preferable. Doesn’t help much versus flying machines, but works great on anything that walks, particularly Scorchers, Fireclaws, Longlegs, Snapmaws, Tiderippers, and Clamberjaws.
Iriv's kept its spot on my wheel, because its perks are more important to me than Gravesinger's higher damage and strikethrough arrows. The fact that Skyhammer can apply elemental states without sludge might let me use the Elite Precision Arrows. That said, I'm curious if Elite Plasma Coils can make Forgefall great again. Okay arktix, I just wanted to give you a proper thanks on my journey, You see I started your Videos by just my first playthrough, I subscribed to you on your mid game build. And ever since then I have watched your videos and I never commented because I don't comments often but Now I will. You completely changed my experience and I got more skilled but the game just got more fun as I explored different setups. For the my first playthrough, to ng+ and now burning shores you have helped me so much. And Ultra hard became easy. Especially all your build videos were so good. Been waiting for this. Jumped back into the game for the DLC and rewatched a bunch of your vids for my loadout. I started an NG+ run to get TLG & Iriv's downfall. Think I'll stick with Blast Forge and AR for shk +Acid. Really want the skyhammer for Frost and Fire. I know Fire isn't that great in this game but I like to have the option. What would be better for this loadout the Last Argument or the Ties That Bind? I Can't decide

I've been waiting for this! I never took onto warrior bows or shredder gauntlets but I'll have to try out that instant freeze build. agreed that the new sharpshot and hunter bow are somewhat disappointing. Iriv's with a full crit chance/crit damage coil build is so strong. I have the new boltblaster setup for short range, the old one for long range. I wasn't getting the damage from the spectre gauntlet, even with the designator, but now it makes it worth it, thanks! The new armor builds and weaves look even more interesting (and confusing tbh). Very interested to see what you find vs what I've been trying out!
I suggest the shredder as well. To catch the disc, u deside with a sidejump the direction of the disc coming back anytime. If u got enough range, u can throw and catch a second disc at the same attack. And the disc hits enimies on its way back. So use this smart. And after every third catch, its gone be exploding at target. Just nice to work with
Personally, I'd say my biggest disappointment with the DLC is that it did not really change my overall play style. I tried Quen Marine for a while but ultimately changed back to Nora Thunder Warrior cause the Stealth Ranged was just too good. All that really changed is that I added the new legendary rope caster in my loadout.
With Burning Shores, having a melee build be not only viable but actually self sustaining is SO damn fun!!! Between a lot of the new gear and the new valor ability, getting up & close went from risky but rewarding to risky but rewarding AND fun ♡ it is so great using the new boltblaster, activated Tier 3 of the new melee valor & going to town w/ my spear, althewhile health now not being AS big a concern as before
Hi there! Back with the audio comment as promised. ( only partially watched since I did not play the dlc and don’t want to spoil anything) So the overall sound is A LOT better. Your voice is much clearer an “fuller” due to some higher mids. I tried 3 different types of headphones with differente quality levels and there are still a few higher frequencies that seem to hit too hard. The “s”es are significantly milder than before but in some cases still feel like pinching the ear 😂. As I said, overall sounds significantly better, only some minor adjustments needed.

Great video as always! I didn't even know you could loot the drone in the first quest since I got so frustrated with seyka glitching out and I spent 3 hours trying to trigger her to stop following me and getting into the tower... Hopefully I can still loot the coil
Great weapon info vid Arktix. Found that getting enough brimshine to purchase weapons,outfits, and coils, not to mention upgrades, was an uphill battle. Also, I’m not sure if it was a bug, but whenever I set a job to upgrade that included getting Brimshine, it didn’t always show up on the map. Anyway, got there in the end. For anyone interested - from someone whos done Burning Shores 5 times and wishes he knew about the diplication glitch sooner 😅. Here's my current loadout: Tears of the Land-God - 3x Elite Tear Damage, 2x Elite Overdraw. This is all about machine tear when needed - 1 fully drawn arrow can remove basically anything. Eye Of The Storm - 5x Elite Frost. For instant brittle state. Rain Of Sparks - 5x Elite Critical Hits. Primary damage weapon, does insane damage really quick with Spreadshot. The Last Argument - 3x Elite Overdraw, 2x Elite Knockdown. This is to knockdown higher HP brittle machines - synergizes with 40% knockdown damage perk on Rain Of Sparks. Tie That Binds - 5x Elite Overdraw. All about tieing down machines as fast as possible. Skyhammer - 5x Elite Purgewater. I open fights with this for instant drenched status which disbables any elemental attack - and it makes it even easier to follow up with putting machine into brittle state. Armor - this is optional, but I like Carja Stalker elite with 2x Elite Silent Strikes weaves. Full stealth + extra smoke bombs + ultra fast crafting speeds + maxed out Silent Strikes. Traps are a bonus, but i find them fun to use as well. Silent Strike is so over powered and i dont feel like people abuse it enough + the heal maxed out doubles your health pool, and gain maxed out gives you a crazy valor and weapon stamina buff. Combined with smoke bombs you can use this multiple times during combat and it makes most ranged damage focused armors redudent. Concentration buffs arent really needed in general, and with thr buffed silent strikes you have plenty of weapon stamina and valor. As a bonus, almost nothing in this setup uses Volatile Sludge - just 1/craft with the Ropecaster, so the build is cheap to maintain. In my opinion, after almost 500 hrs of Forbidden West this is my perfect setup. 😊

The Skyhammer is my new best friend. Very resource efficient. Use square to set that bad boy as your primary frost weapon and use L1 to toggle to your secondary and you're good to go! Happy hunting my peeps. One luv Sensei! The channel is growing spectacularly! Super awesome! 🎉🎉🎉
I like Iriv's Downfall better, b/c all of its perks are good or great, where as for Gravesinger's Lament, I really only like the overdraw and brittle chance perks and feel neutral about the draw speed.
New weapons are mostly sidegrades, but important thing that's not mentioned here, they're WORLDS easier to upgrade. So if you havent grinded for those base game legendary upgrades or the NG+ ones, these can help you get there, or maybe remove that grind entirely. Just casually collecting brimshine, i could usually get a new weapon and instantly get it to level 4 after each mission without any additional grinding.
I could see the Renegade Warrior Bow being a great all around candidate for both Elite Crit Coils & Elite Frost! Sure, it's damage is a bit limited w just 3 Coil slots, but the fact that it has a Crit Chance buff & has Frost Arrows could make it VERY useful AND strong! Also, Elite Acid & Shock sound like a good combo for Ancestor's Return! Would both boost the chance and damage done once inflicted.
The tie that binds is my absolute favourite. I cannot stress how essential this weapon is. A must have for those with new game + ultra hard. With the right perks it can tie down large heavyweight machines in 2 ropes, 3 maximum.
@@ArktixOfficial always, your stuff is far and away the best. It triggers me that the new legendary sharpshot bow has no terablast arrows. So essential for shellsnapper bolts and stormbird cannons. And no new hunter bow with better component removal perks + shock arrows. I would pay all the money for an ability to customize which three ammo types a legendary weapon can use, and the way they’re arranged on my weapon wheel.

I do like using the new Blacktide Sharpshot Bow solely for it's Tearblast Arrows, setting up all the Coil slots for that alone, so I can build out the other Sharpshot Bows to their strengths a bit better.
Well if the Eye of the Storm's elemental chance stacks, then the ultimate setup for the weapon should have at least 1x elite instant shock in addition to the elite instant frost. This should still give you the 31% frost chance, and 31% acid chance, but will give you a 31% shock as well. This is a super strong combo. Sadly this makes the Ancestor's Return pretty redundant as the Tears of the Land God deals more specific and higher tear damage, and the Eye of the Storm will cause the shock ánd corrosion pretty fast without the elemental resistance as a hinderance. My Ancestor's Return might be traded with the Elite Crit Distant Thunder because I'll have the Tears of the Land God equipped anyway. Not looking good for my favorite weapon 😭

Considering these new weapons, it'd be great to see a 'best loadout' update video. I'm still very new to how everything works, so your videos really help me out.
I was wondering why no one talks about the Specter Gauntlet. Context: Pretty veteran (but slow, due to neurological issues) Horizon player, here. Have some thoursand hours in HZD and over 350 hours in HFW. I have done multiple NG+ and recently completed a fresh game UH and NOW doing the NG+ UH for it. Now, I know you can get bonkers tear numbers with Component Tear and a good hunter bow such as TotLG (no access yet in this playthrough) or Death Seeker's Shadow (have it maxed out, 279 base tear + Component Tear coils) and of course, with duplication and / or multiple NG+ component collecting is much more precise with a good tear hunter weapon or a terblast arrow. However, I am in the Daunt now and I have been exclusively using the Specter Gauntlet and I realised it has impressive tear properties. Railgun is bonkers damage, sure, but a barrage after a designator, breaks EVERYTHING on a small machine. I have collected so many horns half hour in this playthrough... It is a niche weapon but could be an easy way for someone going for their first NG+ and planning to upgrade gear to use as a main tear weapon. All this is to say, you might want to look at it from that angle for your master class. Cheers for all the content!
Amazing content as always. Can you add the Burning Shores legendary weapons and outfits upgrade costs in your database? I am yet to start the DLC and want to farm the parts beforehand.
Personally I LOVE playing Stealthily, and I can absolutely see the Gravesinger's Lament being my new go to Stealth bow for huge initial damage! This would allow me to FINALLY free up my Delta Sharpshot Bow for actual active combat due to it's speed & cheaper regular Precision Arrows!
i collected all the coils and used the arena dupliation glitch to get multiply the new elite coils. the 5 elite critical coils on sharpshot bow is pretty strong.
I mostly use the Boltblaster on armored human targets and smaller armed machines up close. Somethings farther away gets a bomb or a javelin, depending on its size or health.

It is indeed a real shame that the new Hunter Bow doesn't have the Component Tear bonus, as coupled with it's Stealth bonus could have made for a pretty awesome bow to immediately knock off an important component when starting a fight from up close Stealth. I in particular LOVE a sneaky, stealthy play style, so anything that has the Stealth bonus is a huge plus for me! I almost never start a fight from outside of Stealth, as it's just too useful and damaging not to do so!
I'm sorry did you say you could dupe the coils still? I haven't finished burning shores I'm just slowly going through it but I duped a lot with the arena trick I think you mentioned it but idk if you mentioned how to do it

Okay, now you have mt Attention! Railgun shots can generate shrapnel blasts on machines? Never had that happen when I played around with the gauntlet but if you get extra for hitting the designator on the back end of a machine you shoot through.....they should make it easier to spot that designator through a machine if its an intended bonus
Yeah it’s pretty weird! That’s why I say we’re not sure it’s intentional or not. If it was, like you said, you’d think the designator would be more visible through the body of the machine.

Eye Of The Storm with 5x Elite Frost, Rain Of Sparks with 5x Elite Critical Hits, Tie That Binds with 5x Elite Overdraw. You dont need any other weapons. As a bonus Rain of Sparks has a 40% damage perk against Knockeddown enemies....so that pairs nicely with your favorite new Spike Thrower 😂
Out of curiosity, is there a maximum limit on the Last Argument’s knockdown damage? I have 2 elite knockdowns and 3 purple knockdowns currently equipped.
What makes the final chapter a better shredder gauntlet (besides ancestors return) for me is the fact that with 5 elite crit coils it has 100% crit chance (the ancestors return also has 100% crit chance).
I have a doubt regarding piercing bolts. Wiki says only armour only reduces damage by 20% on normal machines and 60% on apex machine, is this innacurate? Also, how does acid status works with piercing bolts? All damage goes through?

The new Spike Thrower and Ropecaster are by far my favorites and I knew they’d become staples the moment I saw them 😊 The Specter Gauntlet is very cool, but felt a little underwhelming in terms of damage output. Maybe I play it wrong, I’ll look forward to your masterclass! PS: I’ve got the railgun upgrade but whenever I go to a workbench, it’s listed as a quest item. Is that a bug?
I've never used the brawlbreaker because screw that sticky perk, so I rather compromise a bit of damage with blast forge... BUT I've been playing with eternal vengeance, and I'm torn, it is indeed nice with the 5 close range coils and a pre-whack to activate the melee follow-up because I also did that configuration with the blast forge since its introduction because, even though I don't play melee, I always like to use it up close, so it's really up to preference, they're both OP af 🤣... lets jut put the brawlbreaker through a meatgrinder and pretend it never existed.

Hey thanks! So what you need to do is upgrade your ammo pouches, which you can find when you're at the workbench inventory. You'll need animal parts, so hunt all the animals you see!
I was super confused by a few of the weapon names before googling and realizing they were new game + weapons. How do you feel about the burning shores weapons compared to the first playthrough versions of legendary weapons?
Yeah it gets a little confusing keeping track of all the weapons! I think some of the Burning Shore legedaries are better than the base game or NG+ legendaries. Not sure if you watched the video yet, but I go through each one. Do you have questions about a particular one?
@ArktixOfficial I watched the video, just got confused because the comparison are to new game weapons. Sometimes weapon stats in general confuse me because I take a lower ranked bow, remove the coils, add same coils to a higher ranked bow (both fully upgraded) and the damage stat is lower then it had been in the lower ranked bow. It's really confusing and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My glowblast had a higher stat than my Forgefall for example. And the Marshall hunter bow too is lower than what I upgraded from, the Sunshot. So I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Once I get through Wings ten I will grab Regallas wrath to swap for Delta. Is the DLC sharpshot bow better than them?
Today I spent like 3 hours trying the new dupe glitch to have several of the new coils and weaves and BOOOOOOOOOI is it annoying to get the hang of... xD the difficulty spike compared to the old one is noticeable... but I finally got it working, not super clean, nor straight to it every time I try but hey, now at least I can do it instead of being stuck on the first jump l0l.

FOMO is a thing and we all wanna be optimal, but at the same time, having only played HZD and HFW on ultra hard, my Aloy in Burning Shores already feels hella powerful, compared to where she started, even though her loadout is anything but optimal. UPDATE: I went back to the drone and the coil was there. 1 is good enough for me 😛
Maybe it’s me? But anything over 3 elite overdraw’s seems to not change the reload or overdraw speed much. I feel like the reload speed caps at 40% and overdraw caps at 65% has anyone else noticed this? I’m pretty slow at things so I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m wrong lol I wish they had an indicator of caps and totals for these types of perks.

I never could get the railgun to provide quite as consistent damage output as Gravesinger's Lament with the crit build. But it's just so _fun_, and its ammo is quite cheap. So I still used it pretty regularly anyhow. :-D
I see emperor's reign as a good hunter bow for those machine master builds since you have those targeting arrows for an overridden machine ally as well as berserk arrows if you want to cause all out havoc in a pack of machines (of course the berserk blast Valor surge does that even better)

I've loved these games forever but I found the combat system in Forbidden West very overwhelming for a long time, looking back I'm not even sure how I finished my first playthrough with all the mechanics I didn't use! I've been trying to learn more of the ins and outs of the game and your videos are crazy helpful.

I knew you'd address some concerns I have and validate some things I discovered on my own. Great suggestions for the coils, which I'll try myself. I'm looking forward to the Spectre Gauntlet master class video because I have a lot of questions in regards to the Gauntlet. Other videos say the same things you've said in regards to it. Also, it has knockdown potential as well as tear. Might be due to the explosive attributes to it, but it doesn't destroy Components.....

Personally, I think I'll stick with irivs downfall, I use the elite precision arrows all the time and from my experience, the elite one shots hesdshots human enemies even with their armor. And I think you've convinced me to use the new warrior bow.

That's a grievous misuse of resources..... Using Elite Precision arrows on lowly Human foes when even regular Precision arrows will be an instant kill w a headshot. There is absolutely no reason to ever use Elite Precision Arrows against a Human foe.
Elite Precision Arrows are rarely worth it... Their crafting cost is FAR too expensive for the rather small boost in power they get over the Advanced Precision Arrows.
@@emiliojoseflores9547 Fire got nerfed so bad in this game. I half expected them to fix it via a patch but they never did. Fire was so useful in the first game, now it's all but useless. A real shame & what I believe to be a serious design flaw that could have easily been fixed.
As for the new weapons, The Tie That Binds and Last Argument are game-changing and excellent. The Skyhammer is also fantastic. I know Sun Scourge exists, but there are times when bombing a machine with elemental buildup AND leaving behind a lingering pool of continued buildup is preferable. Doesn’t help much versus flying machines, but works great on anything that walks, particularly Scorchers, Fireclaws, Longlegs, Snapmaws, Tiderippers, and Clamberjaws.

Iriv's kept its spot on my wheel, because its perks are more important to me than Gravesinger's higher damage and strikethrough arrows. The fact that Skyhammer can apply elemental states without sludge might let me use the Elite Precision Arrows. That said, I'm curious if Elite Plasma Coils can make Forgefall great again.

You completely changed my experience and I got more skilled but the game just got more fun as I explored different setups. Been waiting for this. Jumped back into the game for the DLC and rewatched a bunch of your vids for my loadout. I started an NG+ run to get TLG & Iriv's downfall. Think I'll stick with Blast Forge and AR for shk +Acid. Really want the skyhammer for Frost and Fire. I know Fire isn't that great in this game but I like to have the option. What would be better for this loadout the Last Argument or the Ties That Bind? I Can't decide

agreed that the new sharpshot and hunter bow are somewhat disappointing. Iriv's with a full crit chance/crit damage coil build is so strong. I have the new boltblaster setup for short range, the old one for long range. I wasn't getting the damage from the spectre gauntlet, even with the designator, but now it makes it worth it, thanks!
The new armor builds and weaves look even more interesting (and confusing tbh). Very interested to see what you find vs what I've been trying out!

I suggest the shredder as well. To catch the disc, u deside with a sidejump the direction of the disc coming back anytime. If u got enough range, u can throw and catch a second disc at the same attack. And the disc hits enimies on its way back. So use this smart. And after every third catch, its gone be exploding at target. Just nice to work with

Personally, I'd say my biggest disappointment with the DLC is that it did not really change my overall play style.
I tried Quen Marine for a while but ultimately changed back to Nora Thunder Warrior cause the Stealth Ranged was just too good.
All that really changed is that I added the new legendary rope caster in my loadout.
Quen Deadeye with 2 Elite Weapon techniques is my new armor set.
noted. though i like to collect ultra-rare/legendary armors and weapons so i will definately be varying my weapons and such.
With Burning Shores, having a melee build be not only viable but actually self sustaining is SO damn fun!!!
Between a lot of the new gear and the new valor ability, getting up & close went from risky but rewarding to risky but rewarding AND fun ♡ it is so great using the new boltblaster, activated Tier 3 of the new melee valor & going to town w/ my spear, althewhile health now not being AS big a concern as before

So the overall sound is A LOT better. Your voice is much clearer an “fuller” due to some higher mids.
I tried 3 different types of headphones with differente quality levels and there are still a few higher frequencies that seem to hit too hard. The “s”es are significantly milder than before but in some cases still feel like pinching the ear 😂.
As I said, overall sounds significantly better, only some minor adjustments needed.

Great weapon info vid Arktix. Found that getting enough brimshine to purchase weapons,outfits, and coils, not to mention upgrades, was an uphill battle. Also, I’m not sure if it was a bug, but whenever I set a job to upgrade that included getting Brimshine, it didn’t always show up on the map. Anyway, got there in the end.

For anyone interested - from someone whos done Burning Shores 5 times and wishes he knew about the diplication glitch sooner 😅. Here's my current loadout:
Tears of the Land-God - 3x Elite Tear Damage, 2x Elite Overdraw. This is all about machine tear when needed - 1 fully drawn arrow can remove basically anything.
Eye Of The Storm - 5x Elite Frost. For instant brittle state.
Rain Of Sparks - 5x Elite Critical Hits. Primary damage weapon, does insane damage really quick with Spreadshot.
The Last Argument - 3x Elite Overdraw, 2x Elite Knockdown. This is to knockdown higher HP brittle machines - synergizes with 40% knockdown damage perk on Rain Of Sparks.
Tie That Binds - 5x Elite Overdraw. All about tieing down machines as fast as possible.
Skyhammer - 5x Elite Purgewater. I open fights with this for instant drenched status which disbables any elemental attack - and it makes it even easier to follow up with putting machine into brittle state.
Armor - this is optional, but I like Carja Stalker elite with 2x Elite Silent Strikes weaves. Full stealth + extra smoke bombs + ultra fast crafting speeds + maxed out Silent Strikes. Traps are a bonus, but i find them fun to use as well. Silent Strike is so over powered and i dont feel like people abuse it enough + the heal maxed out doubles your health pool, and gain maxed out gives you a crazy valor and weapon stamina buff. Combined with smoke bombs you can use this multiple times during combat and it makes most ranged damage focused armors redudent. Concentration buffs arent really needed in general, and with thr buffed silent strikes you have plenty of weapon stamina and valor.
As a bonus, almost nothing in this setup uses Volatile Sludge - just 1/craft with the Ropecaster, so the build is cheap to maintain. In my opinion, after almost 500 hrs of Forbidden West this is my perfect setup. 😊

The Skyhammer is my new best friend. Very resource efficient. Use square to set that bad boy as your primary frost weapon and use L1 to toggle to your secondary and you're good to go! Happy hunting my peeps.

I like Iriv's Downfall better, b/c all of its perks are good or great, where as for Gravesinger's Lament, I really only like the overdraw and brittle chance perks and feel neutral about the draw speed.
New weapons are mostly sidegrades, but important thing that's not mentioned here, they're WORLDS easier to upgrade. So if you havent grinded for those base game legendary upgrades or the NG+ ones, these can help you get there, or maybe remove that grind entirely. Just casually collecting brimshine, i could usually get a new weapon and instantly get it to level 4 after each mission without any additional grinding.

I could see the Renegade Warrior Bow being a great all around candidate for both Elite Crit Coils & Elite Frost!
Sure, it's damage is a bit limited w just 3 Coil slots, but the fact that it has a Crit Chance buff & has Frost Arrows could make it VERY useful AND strong!
Also, Elite Acid & Shock sound like a good combo for Ancestor's Return! Would both boost the chance and damage done once inflicted.

The tie that binds is my absolute favourite. I cannot stress how essential this weapon is.
A must have for those with new game + ultra hard. With the right perks it can tie down large heavyweight machines in 2 ropes, 3 maximum.

It triggers me that the new legendary sharpshot bow has no terablast arrows. So essential for shellsnapper bolts and stormbird cannons. And no new hunter bow with better component removal perks + shock arrows. I would pay all the money for an ability to customize which three ammo types a legendary weapon can use, and the way they’re arranged on my weapon wheel.

I do like using the new Blacktide Sharpshot Bow solely for it's Tearblast Arrows, setting up all the Coil slots for that alone, so I can build out the other Sharpshot Bows to their strengths a bit better.
Well if the Eye of the Storm's elemental chance stacks, then the ultimate setup for the weapon should have at least 1x elite instant shock in addition to the elite instant frost. This should still give you the 31% frost chance, and 31% acid chance, but will give you a 31% shock as well. This is a super strong combo.
Sadly this makes the Ancestor's Return pretty redundant as the Tears of the Land God deals more specific and higher tear damage, and the Eye of the Storm will cause the shock ánd corrosion pretty fast without the elemental resistance as a hinderance.
My Ancestor's Return might be traded with the Elite Crit Distant Thunder because I'll have the Tears of the Land God equipped anyway.
Not looking good for my favorite weapon 😭

I was wondering why no one talks about the Specter Gauntlet.
Context: Pretty veteran (but slow, due to neurological issues) Horizon player, here. Have some thoursand hours in HZD and over 350 hours in HFW. I have done multiple NG+ and recently completed a fresh game UH and NOW doing the NG+ UH for it.
Now, I know you can get bonkers tear numbers with Component Tear and a good hunter bow such as TotLG (no access yet in this playthrough) or Death Seeker's Shadow (have it maxed out, 279 base tear + Component Tear coils) and of course, with duplication and / or multiple NG+ component collecting is much more precise with a good tear hunter weapon or a terblast arrow.
However, I am in the Daunt now and I have been exclusively using the Specter Gauntlet and I realised it has impressive tear properties. Railgun is bonkers damage, sure, but a barrage after a designator, breaks EVERYTHING on a small machine. I have collected so many horns half hour in this playthrough...
It is a niche weapon but could be an easy way for someone going for their first NG+ and planning to upgrade gear to use as a main tear weapon.
All this is to say, you might want to look at it from that angle for your master class. Cheers for all the content!

Personally I LOVE playing Stealthily, and I can absolutely see the Gravesinger's Lament being my new go to Stealth bow for huge initial damage!
This would allow me to FINALLY free up my Delta Sharpshot Bow for actual active combat due to it's speed & cheaper regular Precision Arrows!

i collected all the coils and used the arena dupliation glitch to get multiply the new elite coils. the 5 elite critical coils on sharpshot bow is pretty strong.
I mostly use the Boltblaster on armored human targets and smaller armed machines up close. Somethings farther away gets a bomb or a javelin, depending on its size or health.
So i just watched this and i wonder... Wheres that new CZ weapon guide?? 😄 i would love to see that ty for your tips a trics it helped me a lot with hfw

It is indeed a real shame that the new Hunter Bow doesn't have the Component Tear bonus, as coupled with it's Stealth bonus could have made for a pretty awesome bow to immediately knock off an important component when starting a fight from up close Stealth.
I in particular LOVE a sneaky, stealthy play style, so anything that has the Stealth bonus is a huge plus for me! I almost never start a fight from outside of Stealth, as it's just too useful and damaging not to do so!
The Emperor's Reign would only really be good for those who prefer an up close Melee style of play, which is likely pretty rare.
I'm sorry did you say you could dupe the coils still? I haven't finished burning shores I'm just slowly going through it but I duped a lot with the arena trick I think you mentioned it but idk if you mentioned how to do it

Okay, now you have mt Attention! Railgun shots can generate shrapnel blasts on machines? Never had that happen when I played around with the gauntlet but if you get extra for hitting the designator on the back end of a machine you shoot through.....they should make it easier to spot that designator through a machine if its an intended bonus
Yeah it’s pretty weird! That’s why I say we’re not sure it’s intentional or not. If it was, like you said, you’d think the designator would be more visible through the body of the machine.

Out of curiosity, is there a maximum limit on the Last Argument’s knockdown damage? I have 2 elite knockdowns and 3 purple knockdowns currently equipped.
Not as far as I know. With those coils, you already have max knockdown power.
What makes the final chapter a better shredder gauntlet (besides ancestors return) for me is the fact that with 5 elite crit coils it has 100% crit chance (the ancestors return also has 100% crit chance).

I have a doubt regarding piercing bolts. Wiki says only armour only reduces damage by 20% on normal machines and 60% on apex machine, is this innacurate? Also, how does acid status works with piercing bolts? All damage goes through?

I've never used the brawlbreaker because screw that sticky perk, so I rather compromise a bit of damage with blast forge... BUT I've been playing with eternal vengeance, and I'm torn, it is indeed nice with the 5 close range coils and a pre-whack to activate the melee follow-up because I also did that configuration with the blast forge since its introduction because, even though I don't play melee, I always like to use it up close, so it's really up to preference, they're both OP af 🤣... lets jut put the brawlbreaker through a meatgrinder and pretend it never existed.

Hey thanks! So what you need to do is upgrade your ammo pouches, which you can find when you're at the workbench inventory. You'll need animal parts, so hunt all the animals you see!

Yeah it gets a little confusing keeping track of all the weapons! I think some of the Burning Shore legedaries are better than the base game or NG+ legendaries. Not sure if you watched the video yet, but I go through each one. Do you have questions about a particular one?
@ArktixOfficial I watched the video, just got confused because the comparison are to new game weapons. Sometimes weapon stats in general confuse me because I take a lower ranked bow, remove the coils, add same coils to a higher ranked bow (both fully upgraded) and the damage stat is lower then it had been in the lower ranked bow. It's really confusing and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My glowblast had a higher stat than my Forgefall for example. And the Marshall hunter bow too is lower than what I upgraded from, the Sunshot. So I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Once I get through Wings ten I will grab Regallas wrath to swap for Delta. Is the DLC sharpshot bow better than them?
Today I spent like 3 hours trying the new dupe glitch to have several of the new coils and weaves and BOOOOOOOOOI is it annoying to get the hang of... xD the difficulty spike compared to the old one is noticeable... but I finally got it working, not super clean, nor straight to it every time I try but hey, now at least I can do it instead of being stuck on the first jump l0l.

Is there really only 1 of each Elite Coil per playthru?? Thought I heard somewhere that there are actually 2 of each in the Burning Shores... Is that not true?
If there's really only one per... Then I may have to do what I never wanted to do... The Duplication Glitch. I NEED at least one more Elite Overdraw & Elite Frost...

Oh, well. FOMO is a thing and we all wanna be optimal, but at the same time, having only played HZD and HFW on ultra hard, my Aloy in Burning Shores already feels hella powerful, compared to where she started, even though her loadout is anything but optimal.
UPDATE: I went back to the drone and the coil was there. 1 is good enough for me 😛
They fixed that bug now you can only get 1, however I have about 60 from doing the duplication glitch this afternoon.

Maybe it’s me? But anything over 3 elite overdraw’s seems to not change the reload or overdraw speed much. I feel like the reload speed caps at 40% and overdraw caps at 65% has anyone else noticed this? I’m pretty slow at things so I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m wrong lol I wish they had an indicator of caps and totals for these types of perks.
How many elite critical chance coils are there? I missed the duplication glitch so I’m stuck with 2, would be nice to get another elite brittle coil also
