I say boots work all year. I wear through Florida summers. Good protection against all the rain and puddles. And most of the time you're inside in AC. I wore cordovan boots for 12 hours on a 108 degree day in Italy a couple years ago. A tad hot, but you have to suffer for style in that country. 😉

Please don't wear boots in summer in Italy, that's not style, that's smelly feet

If your feet don’t overheat in boots, then it will work perfectly!

Check out Cole Haan Osborn 360 Grand plain oxfords. Super stylish sleek dress sneakers. Also exceptional underfoot cushion. I love my brown ones.

Tom, I think you’re overthinking the belt color matching belt. In one of your examples If were to put on your shoes and pants, they would look great. I think the distance between the two makes it appear like the same 👍🏾 other wise, great job 👏🏾

Thanks. I like to match the belt as close as possible, but I give leeway if it's a bit darker than the shoes.

Never cuff jeans with dress shoes.

Its literally casual and it looks good. I cuffed my jeans with dress shoes and a sports jacket recently. Nothing but compliments

Just not big cuffs, slimmer cuffs on a slim fit denim looks stylish.

it's a mistake to combine the two the sport coat saved it but a shirt alone that's a no for me

Yep. It’s tough to pair such a casual item like denim with dress shoes, but it can be done.

How about burgundy color shoes? I just bought a pair to break away from the norm. I’m older and men’s fashion looks generic and everyone is trying to look like one another. I understand ppl. want to look polished, but that’s not that hard to do and you end up looking like anyone that ships at H&M or Zara. Of course it’s the details that count, but back in my days, ppl. wore stuff to look different from everyone and not like everyone.

Oh and the word web used to use is too conservative.

I'm not into Burgundy. I like dark chili from Allen Edmonds, a medium brown with red undertone.
Quality shoes and clothes will always set you apart, take a look at guys wearing tan shoes that are unpolished, and creased like crazy!
Especially nowadays, with people wanting to dress in t shirts, sweatpants/joggers? and sneakers everywhere they go, it's never been easier to look unique!
