- Oh, my love
my darling
I've hungered for your touch
a long lonely time
and time goes by so slowly
and time can do so much
are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
Godspeed your love to me
Lonely rivers flow to the sea,
to the sea
to the open arms of the sea
lonely rivers sigh 'wait for me, wait for me'
I'll be coming home wait for me
Oh, my love
my darling
I've hungered for your touch
a long lonely time
and time goes by so slowly
and time can do so much
are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
Godspeed your love to me
Bobby Hatfield owned that song then and now. He put his whole self into that song and you could hear it in the velvety tones and then the range of his voice. His breath control, the counter tenor notes. He was just magnificent.
NO ONE will ever beat him at this song not a chance….
He made every song his for sure. He was blessed with a magnificent voice. Ebb Tide and Summertime belong to him too. He was just amazing.
Bobby Hatfield was an underrated singer, he should have been known as one of the very best bacause he was!
Yes. He was number one!!!!! Fr tho no one will ever beat him best singer of our humanity. An actual god of singing in my opinion
don’t know where you get underrated from, everyone I know would die laughing if anyone suggested that there was a better male vocalist
I always loved this song as if I was born in this Era. I appreciate the song and vocals still.
My Father grew up with Bobby in Anaheim. They used to play together as kids. He went to school with him through High School. As a baby my parents took me to one of their Private listening Parties. For 41 years Soul and Inspiration has been my Wife and my Song. Also most people don’t know but they opened for The Rolling Stones and the Beatles.😎
I read they open The Beatles concert first USA visit but in Washington was imposible to do it 😮
Did u ever ask ur father when did Bobby really start singing?
this was my fiance and my song I put him on a bus to go to his base to Viet Nam and he never came home but he would sing this to me in the back yard at night I loved him so much, there well always be a spot in my heart for him
That is true perspective about what a song can mean to someone. Edinburgh, Scotland.
My beautiful wife escaped Vietnam as a 14-year old - a tiny little girl out on the high seas for months in a boat steered by her 15-year old brother - 60 people aboard and with her 15-year old brother navigating by the stars (taught to him by their dad) - all survived. I thank your fiancée for helping my girl survive and be able to escape the tyranny and madness of the beautiful country that she grew up in and then had to flee. Without the sacrifices that many people made - many may never have survived Thank you to your fiancée - thank you. Have a nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
@@geneva760 to my Sasha LOVE Nina xxxx
So sorry
The ultimate sacrifice, for him and for you. I can still hear that pain in your Words. Nothing and no one can ever take your memories and love that will always exist in the corner of your heart ❤️.
Bobby Hatfield is Unchained Melody ! He put his heart and soul into this song every time he started to sing this ...It gets under your skin...What a voice and what a unimaginable performance...What a heartbreaking song. By far the best song ever made! Sadly he passed away in nov. 2003 at age 63...R.I.P.
The things we hold to our heart's is those we lost x heaverly brothers hold you in my. Armes x
So terribly sad the day he passed away. No other recording artist can do this song justice than Bobby Hatfield. Truly one of a kind great sounding artist and song.
I didn’t know that Bobby Hayfield was in his 60’s at the time of his death. He never looked that age. He was truly young at heart. May be RIP forever more.
the greatest performance of one of the greatest songs. Hatfield puts everything he has into this live performance
Have you heard Roy Hamilton's version from 10 years earlier?
'Wilbur won, grabbed hold of the phone, clutched it in his strong, shaking hand, and with one slash of the knife, cut the cord.'
Flowers of 1970, Chapter 3.0
I finished that about 30 minutes ago and I'm bawling my eyes out still.
uh thanks for making me die again bestie..
pls i just finsihd it leave me alone
@@liz-jl9vd BAHAHHAHA
this lowkey spoiled a bit but dw, I was crying too much to see anything anyway.. i literally just finished it
I loved the classic live performance of 1965, but this one was really nice too. Just a little difference in Bobby's delivery, which again shows the many facets of this great artist. Truly ,he was one of a kind, and the mold was forever broken. Cathy
He was and will forever remain our humanity’s BEST singer
Phenomenal singer! Bobby was so emotive and melodic when he sang. His voice was a finely tuned instrument that he had mastered incredibly. What a rare talent! His voice is timeless - the mere fact that we are all still talking about it now is a testament to it. RIP Bobby.
So this version has almost 25 million views and the live Andy Williams version has over 59 million views. My guess is people love hearing Bobby Hatfield sing this live... :-)
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever sung and no one does it better!❤️
Bobby Hatfield was and will always be the best vocalist of our entire species!!!
I had this song played at my husband's funeral. He loved it. Today I can't stop crying...........He has been gone since 2008 but love never dies.........I hope the pain will one day!
Dorothy, only God can heal this pain you speak of. We will all be united one day in the next life. May God grant you peace and joy in this life and the next. Love never dies Dorothy but I am sure that your husband would never have wished for your sadness. Honor his memory by doing good for others and please our Heavenly father at the same time. Blessings to you!
More BS from a delusional theist. You hold out false, unproven promises to this unfortunate woman. You haven't a shred of proof of anything you post. Like all theists, you are either a liar, a delusional fool, or a hypocrite. Perhaps all three at the same time.

Love transcends death. Only a short time till reunion.
dorothy garrett ......damn.........thats.........sad........bro
Oh, my gosh. He has serious range and a set of lungs on him. He can sing his behind off. What a timeless, beautiful classic. 🔥🔥. May he RIP. 💔🙏🏻
One of the single greatest vocal performances of all time.
Yes! This is Bobby Hatfield singing! The Righteous brothers were a great pair! Glad they made game! They deserved it ALL! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
“So however painful the tragic end of the story came to, now you know that
Once upon a time,
In the same room,
Of the same house,
Fifty years apart,
Clay and George had loved eachother”
Please help guys I just finished the story and I’m crying like a baby.

i just finished the book and iv never sobbed sm over one book ever
Just brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Best version ever Bobby just hits the high notes with such ease. No auto tune here just raw talent..
Yep best performance of this song, better than the color one with more views especially the crescendo. Just brilliant.
So this is what immortality sounds and looks like... unreal
Bobby Hatfield you were a one and only!
OMG 🤣 STILL GIVES ME CHILLS. BEAUTIFUL SONG AND VOICE
This was my dad's favourite song and was played at his funeral; therefore this song will always have a special place with me. Emotional. Timeless.
The one song in this world that absolutely breaks everyone listening to it. Heavenly. & Only.. Only Bobby Hatfield could sing this. Absolutely unbelievable .
I agree. It makes me weep...
Elvis did it pretty damn good too, even at his low
I remember.Bobby as my team mate on the Anaheim Varsity football team. I will always fondly remember him and every time when I hear him sing, esp this great love song, I say, "Sing it Bobby."
And that lady's and gentleman is how you sing a song live. Rip Bobby you will never be forgotten 🙏🤗🤗
The Greatest Singer and nicest looking guy ever! What a Voice, Unbelievable the range and soul he has!
I can't keep saying how much his voice was amazing
That range on his voice is senstational. Falsettos and all. It’s effortless. A voice like this cannot be trained or learned. Really was a gift from God. Thank you for the timeless classic Mr. Hatfield and the Righteous Brothers.
true only God gave him this voice-but why couldn't all of us sing like this
@@peterrradizeski2176 Guess because then we wouldn't consider it special. Just a thought.
It wasn’t falsetto. Bobby was a counter tenor and those high notes were in his natural range.
Virtuoso level singing. Such technical skill .
After all these years, I still think this is one of the most beautiful songs there is!
I have the original album 1965! I cherish it!😊
“you take care of those flowers, wrong number”
Oh My! He really pulled out all the stops on this one! Just went into that high note at the end like butter. What a voice!
This is the most beatiful song all times, noboddy cant sing it like Bobby Hatfielt. The Righteous Brothers stops when Bobby Hatfielt past away .
Bill go home there are no Righteous Brothers anymore. RIP BOBBIE HATFIELT, you beatiful Angel 💖🌷🌷🌷🌷
@@paulamac77 no i am not from Belgium
No other version can get close to this one , what a voice
Wow Bobby, that was absolutely fantastic, Out Of This World....This was another example of how talented he was and what raw talent was and is. This is REAL music. There are not many if almost none who could do what Bobby did in this video!! SLAM DUNK BOBBY!! Rest Easy Bobby!!
A melhor interpretação desta musica é dos Righteous Brothers sem dúvida!
The love song of that transcends all generations. Chilling, exuberant, breathtaking, and truly the song you want to let the love of your life hear.
This has always been and will always be my favorite! Nothing gives me chills like this song.
The 'Righteous Brothers' were always great with all of their songs-but 'Unchained Melody', by Bobby Hatfield was incomparable.
Still brings tears to my eyes each time I listen to this. Have a safe and nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
Words cannot describe how much I love this song!
The most powerful love song I've probably ever heard.
Where are the love songs of today ? Such feeling the songs of yesterday.

This song makes me cry.. Regrets? Memories.

Just seen this version from him..and my God each one is breathtakingly good. Wow..
I am remembering one of the greatest, if not the greatest vocalist of all time, on this the anniversary of your passing. Rest in Peace. I'll always love you and your sweet voice! 11/05/2019
The Platters, Sam Cooke and Elvis among many others recorded and sang "Unchained Melody" but Bobby Hatfield did the definitive version. He was born to sing this song.
He was garbage. Elvis made the definitive version.
@@johnbaumann3866 fuck you, Bobby OWNS this song.
How true Bobby Hatfield was Unchained Melody
@@johnbaumann3866 But, you could understand every word when Bobby sang it. Thus song was all Bibby.
Wow! Amazing! Bobby's signature song! Not only he's a good looking but had a golden voice. I'm in love. Where were you when I was single? But then, you're many years older than me. RIP. You'll be missed. Unchained Melody is my favorite song.
What a fantastic voice this guy had and sadly no longer with us.The song is just out of this world
⚡💙💥 Most romantic song ever...when sung by the incomparable Bobby Hatfield. 💝
AFTER BOBBY HATFIELD'S VERSION OF THIS SONG NO SINGER SHOULD HAVE EVEN ATTEMPTED TO SING IT AGAIN.....THIS IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE "IMO" BOBBY'S SIGNATURE SONG ......I'VE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SING THAT LAST NOTE EVEN CLOSE TO BOBBY....RIP OUR GENTLE, CARING ANGEL.....Bob Fox, Laguna Beach, Ca. USA
elvis did a great job of this song, but bobbies version on the andy williams
show is the best. thanks
I agree, exuisite voice....there is another singer Steven Bary
I don't know why I am here but what I do know is I have lost my girl my wife my love my everything and living without her is a nightmare. She like me adored this song especially when Bobby Hatfield's version. Now I can't list to it for more than a few seconds because of the memories and his superb voice. Nobody has ever sung it as well as Bobby and nobody ever will
No matter who else does this song, no matter how well, Bobby will always own it.
without question. But I was listening to voice contestants and came across a gentleman on voice seniors from Holland that did a version that I think is better by far some versions covered by professionals including Elvis and Roy Orbison. Must be because of the similarities of voice.

@@paulcross8803 I heard it too but it just wasn't as heartbreaking as Bobby's
The Rightious Brothers made a great sound in the 60's. I'm sorry I never got a chance to see them perform.
No one can sing this as perfect as you do Bobby.... Thank You for the memories, I listen to this everyday.. The Righteous Bros were geniuses. We are blessed to have the music played on here. Xxxxxx
Few people have the range Hatfield had. And if you do how about control?
unchained melody is my favourite

I can listen to this song over & over again. Bobby puts his heart & soul into this song. Only he can sing this. Always brings tears to my eyes. He passed away way tooo young & soon. RIP Bobby
I can't describe how much I love this song, it's like if I could turn personify it, I would definitely marry it and give love to it for the rest of my life.
You are so close!, Y' know how Jesus says He is the Bridegroom?, . . .He surely has been and does woo us for a marriage relationship of our heart in devotion to Him, . . . It is _such_ a fulfilling relationship, knowably so, too!!!
@@galerad7254 Yes, Psalms 2:9 says Kiss the SON least he be angry with you and turn you from the way (way to THE Father).
They both had such incredible voices. So different! So complimentary. This is so great!
J'ai cette melodie en tete depuis plus 30ans et il ne ce passe pas un jour sans que je la fredonne , et des frissons a chaque fois . Merveilleuse chanson et toutes ces reprises .
One of the most beautiful songs ever, thanks for posting.
Oh wow! I've never seen this particular vid before, it's fabulous, thank you for posting. I never tire of listening to Bobby sing, he just has a rare timbre and quality to his voice that is enthralling. I think he truly was a human siren, when you hear his voice, everything else goes out of your head! Once day I hope to see him again in RocknRoll Heaven, if they'll let me through the gates ;)
Doesn't matter what version you listen to (1966) or this one, there never was or ever will be a singer that can ever replace Bobby H. A LEGEND!!!!
you are so right ken
So very true..

I had the the most wonderful career in the world when traveling with Bill and Bobby as their Pro Sound Mixing Engineer and being responsible for the sound at many of their live performances. Their beautiful duets and individual performances are forever in my mind, even today, these many years later. Thankfully!!! Al S.

pov:you're reading flowers from 1970
It pulls certain chords in my heart I didn’t even know I had.
This is a perfect vocal performance. Possibly the best live performance I've heard.
Hermosa canción, se me eriza la piel cuando escucho a Bobby cantar ❤ rip Bobby 😔
When can music go back to this?? Music was real back then, it had value, meaning, even if was some fun not so serious rock and roll song, it had its value and the person performing it knew what it meant to them and the crowd. Nowadays everybody wants attention and every person wants to make music even though they have no music experience or a good voice, it’s all auto tune. It’s so easy for them with all this social media, they want to make music videos and get views and all that. I get it, we have social media and we use it. Don’t get me wrong, we have so many great artists and singers now. I myself love Lana Del Rey for instance and she is absolutely incredible, her voice, her vocals, lyrics, visuals and music videos are incredible! In fact the reason I got into her more was because of her music videos and lyrics and I think what she does is incredible and I would be so sad if she stopped. My point here is that nowadays you hear about a new “artist” or “singer” every week, and most of the time, the reason why they “blew up” was because of TikTok or a music video or one song that doesn’t even sound nice or makes no sense whatsoever or is about some guy wanting to slap a girl’s a** or b*tches or not needing one or the other way around where u listen to smth so sad in my opinion about not needing anyone and just being by yourself makes you happy and so on, etc. That is my point. If you get it you get it and if you don’t get it, you’re probably one of those people who likes or listens to that sort of music but honestly I think it’s crap. I mentioned Lana Del Rey because I think she’s so real and she sings real stuff with real meaning and even if she’s not getting many views or streams, at the end of the day her music is valuable to me and to her fans. Anyways, I actually discovered the righteous brothers years ago through listening to Elvis and since then I adored them. They’re music is beautiful🤍🧚♀️
So, thanks to those of you mentioning this solo being done by Bobby Hatfield. Never knew his name, but you are so correct in saying this solo is by far the best rendition of this song that I have ever heard. It is so deep in my mind and heart.

Everyone's raving about the other live performance of Bobby on the Andy Williams show, but I tell you, this performance is way better. This has no flaws. This is pure immortality.
