When can music go back to this?? Music was real back then, it had value, meaning, even if was some fun not so serious rock and roll song, it had its value and the person performing it knew what it meant to them and the crowd. Nowadays everybody wants attention and every person wants to make music even though they have no music experience or a good voice, it’s all auto tune. It’s so easy for them with all this social media, they want to make music videos and get views and all that. I get it, we have social media and we use it. Don’t get me wrong, we have so many great artists and singers now. I myself love Lana Del Rey for instance and she is absolutely incredible, her voice, her vocals, lyrics, visuals and music videos are incredible! In fact the reason I got into her more was because of her music videos and lyrics and I think what she does is incredible and I would be so sad if she stopped. My point here is that nowadays you hear about a new “artist” or “singer” every week, and most of the time, the reason why they “blew up” was because of TikTok or a music video or one song that doesn’t even sound nice or makes no sense whatsoever or is about some guy wanting to slap a girl’s a** or b*tches or not needing one or the other way around where u listen to smth so sad in my opinion about not needing anyone and just being by yourself makes you happy and so on, etc. That is my point. If you get it you get it and if you don’t get it, you’re probably one of those people who likes or listens to that sort of music but honestly I think it’s crap. I mentioned Lana Del Rey because I think she’s so real and she sings real stuff with real meaning and even if she’s not getting many views or streams, at the end of the day her music is valuable to me and to her fans. Anyways, I actually discovered the righteous brothers years ago through listening to Elvis and since then I adored them. They’re music is beautiful🤍🧚‍♀️

Bobby Hatfield owned that song then and now. He put his whole self into that song and you could hear it in the velvety tones and then the range of his voice. His breath control, the counter tenor notes. He was just magnificent.

So this was the short version. Just like our Old Tv shows, they often asked singers to cut some parts of song to make it shorten. Basically before 80's most singers made songs only for 2 or 3 minutes, and this song was too long for that era (60's).

How allegorical of God born in human form (jesus), learning to walk and be all other things a man is, and crying out to every human born to love Him . . .plangeant singing!!! I do think bobby sang thru the template or heart filter of the gospel of triune God, i.e., bobby trying to bring hearts to real-ize God's fullest love . . .in salvation . . . "God is love" [1st peter], and therefore is the only source of love . . . Eros romantic love is only a shadow of agape love . . . But see bible's Song of Songs as its attempt to convey aspects of the saved human soul in relationship with its great Savior, Redeemer, Loved One . . . . . .I ♥️ Bobby and my triune Lord and Savior.
