Maya has been renovated, and Olmeca is being renovated right now. I am currently a freshman living in Maya, and I am going to post a video of a Maya dorm tour sometime.
Each year the location of the learning communities change. There are some new changes going on so it is really hard to say where they will be located. It is important to remember it is not about the building, but rather the experience. Make sure to be involved with your floor and roommate. Go to the events your RA/AM puts on to get to know everyone else. Every residence hall has just about the same things, so it really does not matter which one you live in! Hope that helps ;)
I'm an incoming freshman this fall semester and I was wondering what was it look on move in day? and what time are we allowed to start moving into our dorms? thank you in advanced :)
Move in day is crazy! Plan to get there early if you want to avoid elevator lines and traffic.Bring lots of water and snacks as it is hot. The meal plan starts that day too and don't forget cleaning supplies. There are also large bins to haul up your stuff but they fill up quickly.
oooo okay thank you, I will definitely keep that in mind! also do you know how big the south campus plaza dorms are? what kind of closet space does it have (dressers, closet, etc)?
The SCP dorms are pretty small. There is a sink in the room similar to the room style in University Towers. SCP dorms have their own private shower and toilet and of course the sink . From the videos I have seen, the room space is small but there is a small dresser similar to the one in Zura. There is also a desk but I recommend bringing some extra storage bins. Hope this helped!! UT does not have a pool because it is so close to the Aquaplex. The Aquaplex is the on-campus water center or pool !! It’s a really nice facility. It is close to Chappy residence hall but is a little further from most of the other residence halls like Cuic, maya/Olmeca, Zura, Tenochca, but it’s really close to the Aztec Recreation Center, Aquaplex, and sports fields, and Vienna’s Arena! UT also has its own dining facility next door- UT really is in a great location and has some amazing views from the rooms .
SDSU Life great! Ive applied to the school of television so it would be great to know about that program a little maybe? Also, you could do your favorite spots on and off campus, favorite things to do in san diego, pros and cons of the school, what you wish you knew etc
hi! which dorms are normally assigned to nursing students? i was fortunate enough to be admitted to the school of nursing as a freshman and i heard that they generally room all of the nursing students together
infinitelyclara Hi! Congratulations on your acceptance!! from what my nursing friends told me, there is no one residence hall you will live in. The residence hall changes every year, last year was Cuic and the year before that was Olmeca. It also depends on if you live in a learning community. So, you may live in Cuic, Olmeca/maya, or even SCP since they re opened it if you live in a learning community. If you choose to not live in one, you can end up in any residence hall as it is random. Let me know if you have further questions.
are you saying that Maya Olmeca, Cuic and SCP house the living learning communities? Do you know where the p-fit and health healing professions house their residential community?
kellie lowe hi! For the most part, Cuic, Zara, maya and Olmeca house the learning communities. However, every year they do change residence halls. There is no one hall where the pre pt community will be in, it is randomized!
Hi! It is a random selection of which building you get into. You can choose your roommates! To be honest, it is not about the building, it is about the experience and what you make of it. Open your door, talk to your neighbors, and go into the social spaces and programs put on by your RA !!
Hi. This is Frank Johnson. I think that was a really good video.

I lived in what you call University Towers. It was crappy when I lived there in 1981
Thank you! I loved this video
Thank you !
Thanks. Nice job.
Which residential learning communities are in south campus plaza? And which ones are in University towers? Thanks!
